I prefer to use them all. I love Mac for some things bot other things a PC is good for. Like gaming. When you want it to just work, Mac. If you want to tweak, PC. But, more often than not, with a PC you have to tweak if you want to streamline your OS.
If you didn't already know, after thorough testing, information was encoded into this commercial proving it was made with a Mac. Just saying. Oh and, I got nothing against PCs except Internet Explorer. As a web designer it makes my life hell to have to support all browsers including IE. IE is SHIT!

I'm a PC, I use Linux. Especially with Apple's change to x86_64, PC doesn't just mean Windows any more. Even before the change, all computers that aren't mainframes or thin clients are Personal Computers anyway. Most mixed up, confusing ad ever.
Windows is fine, but I like Macs better. I also like Linux better.
But who cares? That's my opinion, and if you really like Windows, then use Windows. If you really like Macs, use a Mac. If you really like Linux, use Linux. If... you get it.

@Trif4 We all intermingle in a way anyways... 85% of Mac users have a PC, Vast majority of Linux users dual boot with Windows, and well, where i live. 98% of people have PC, just because its affordable. PC's running Windows 7 being everyday use, Macs being the media and art computers, and Linux runs on alot of nerds Windows machines aswell. =P

u sure? iphone's cool, i agree. its popular, but there's 1 thing you forgot. it's not that cheap. yes, the n97 costs $400 more than the iphone, but nokia has other phones that are way more a4dable. if apple won't make cheap phones, it wud be hard for them to defeat nokia's global market share. iphone is gaining an edge in the smartphone market if not dominating, but if we talk about PHONES, nokia and apple are very far.
microsoft also has other businesses. they have zune, which is great but underrated. they have xbox. they have server stuff. plus office, bing, lot's of other software. theyn't can't make hardware 4 PC's, because it would create chaos among theior partners, e.g. dell, hp sony. they're not only about the OS.
also exchange server... all email clients uses it, all companies.. go to mac, google, or any company's head quarters and ask them what's controlling their mail...

You can purchase an upgrade copy but you cannot perform an upgrade installation. You will have to back up your data and perform a clean installation, then reinstall your files. Hope that helps.
Not if you have XP. You will need to backup all your data and then format and install Windows 7. Once everything is installed you can reinstall all your files.

We have hundreds of Vista licenses and we run XP instead. Microsoft still counts those Vista licenses when it reports how many people run Vista. No that's how many people own Vista because they had no choice. The majority are still running XP, even though they own a license for Vista) That does not happen in the Mac world.

The fact that corporate America flat out refused to update to Vista is evidence enough that Windows sucks. We are all waiting for Windows 7 and hoping it is not as bad as Vista, because XP is VERY long in the tooth. You can buy a new Dell, with Windows 7 and they are kind enough to send it to you with Windows XP installed. That is because the corporate community DEMANDED it!!
#1: You don't get the same hardware on a PC as you do on a Mac for the same price. #2 You can't lump a PC running Windows and a PC running Linux together. That is an insult to Linux and I will NOT have it!! #3 Macs don't come with low specs, old network cards and outdated memory architecture. Get a PC that has the same specs and same quality hardware and your price is going to up to to above the Mac. But then you are still stuck with Windows.

You have to go to Control Panel -> under Programs you'll find "Uninstall a Program"
it will open a list of all the programs you have installed, Then double click on the program you want to uninstall.
Still simple.

No, I'm a Mac... but I might have also been a pc if I'd bought my Mac this year instead of last year. :D
Anyway, I'm starting to think this whole "Mac vs. Pc" thing is just a big worthless argument over personal preference and the 2 companies are just having a field day using our preferences as there advertising hook. -.-;

it wud be hard 4 universities to completely shift to macs because it's not an open development OS. how would students know the fundamentals of programming , C, C++,or html if they have macs in their computer labs. i love apple but hate the mac. u can do more with windows.

Reaching much larger revenue than Sony, Samsung, AND even Nokia. PC's can suck it. Maybe if they came up with any of their own ideas, and stopped trying to keep up with Apple they wouldn't keep sinking farther and farther into obscurity.

u sure? iphone's cool, i agree. its popular, but there's 1 thing you forgot. it's not that cheap. yes, the n97 costs $400 more than the iphone, but nokia has other phones that are way more a4dable. if apple won't make cheap phones, it wud be hard for them to defeat nokia's global market share. iphone is gaining an edge in the smartphone market if not dominating, but if we talk about PHONES, nokia and apple are very far.

microsoft also has other businesses. they have zune, which is great but underrated. they have xbox. they have server stuff. plus office, bing, lot's of other software. theyn't can't make hardware 4 PC's, because it would create chaos among theior partners, e.g. dell, hp sony. they're not only about the OS.

You can purchase an upgrade copy but you cannot perform an upgrade installation. You will have to back up your data and perform a clean installation, then reinstall your files. Hope that helps.

Not if you have XP. You will need to backup all your data and then format and install Windows 7. Once everything is installed you can reinstall all your files.

We have hundreds of Vista licenses and we run XP instead. Microsoft still counts those Vista licenses when it reports how many people run Vista. No that's how many people own Vista because they had no choice. The majority are still running XP, even though they own a license for Vista) That does not happen in the Mac world.

no , i can ALWAYS find a PC cheaper than a mac for a much higher spec , i can get a sony laptop with a 1gb dedicated nvidia GPU , 14inch screen , 250gb hdd , blu ray drive and 4gb of ddr3 ram , thats £40 cheaper ! than a macbook with a 13 inch screen , 2gb ram , 130gb hdd and a 9400m GPU , PC always cheaper , sony r overpriced and even they r cheaper

The fact that corporate America flat out refused to update to Vista is evidence enough that Windows sucks. We are all waiting for Windows 7 and hoping it is not as bad as Vista, because XP is VERY long in the tooth. You can buy a new Dell, with Windows 7 and they are kind enough to send it to you with Windows XP installed. That is because the corporate community DEMANDED it!!

#1: You don't get the same hardware on a PC as you do on a Mac for the same price. #2 You can't lump a PC running Windows and a PC running Linux together. That is an insult to Linux and I will NOT have it!! #3 Macs don't come with low specs, old network cards and outdated memory architecture. Get a PC that has the same specs and same quality hardware and your price is going to up to to above the Mac. But then you are still stuck with Windows.

i switched to a mac from a mac to a pc. im wayyyyyyyyyy happier with a mac. pcs will probably stay on top sales wise but when it come to quality and work macs will stay on top. if everyone could afford a mac pcs would be obsolete

Thats because they are tricket by Apple. Thinking that a Mac is such a better OS and PC then other pcs who are running Windows and/or Linux. But thats a load of crap! Ordinary pcs with or without Windows is much cheaper. You get the same hardware and ever better hardware for less money then on a Mac. There are plenty of powerfull software for Windows, and to some extent Linux.
