  • That umpire is full of shit. If that happened to me I would probably throw the guy in the face with my racket.

  • That was way out!!

  • worst umpire ever..terrible decision that really changed the out come of the match.

  • can someone explain whats going on here?

  • david got fucked out of this bad

  • wow this is exactly what happend to me when writing my chem midterm...my calculator was confiscated because it wasnt "allowed"......and its scientific...

god i swear ppl have no common sense these days....rules are so strict that no consideration is given for exceptions that are potentially devastating

  • He lost control by the crowds? Oh what a mature crowds...

  • wait i dont get it. how did he lose control..? can somone show me what part of ths vid shows he lost control?

  • ref is an idiot for not giving him the challenge. 1) nalbandian speaks spanish and couldn't understand the umpire who said something like "that was good" after the lines person yelled it out so of course he's gonna be confused 2) since it was an overrule nalbandian took time to clarify what the ref said so after that he immediately went to the line to check it out which he asked for a challenge right away 3) the ref fucked up by over ruling and pretty much forces nalbandian to risk a challenge

  • This win only furthers the stereotype that Isner is a good tennis player.

  • @93RastafarianPikachu There aren't any American players on tour right now that will ever win a major.

  • @hattrickster33 Harrison might have a shot by the time he's 25-26.

  • lol why is crowd chanting marcos baghdatis.

  • Nossa veio

Mancada oq fizeram com o nalbandian

    Ele pediu o desafio pohaa

E sem conta ke o saque tinha realmente saido!

  • it was an ace..move on you pussy..usa tennis is great..the davis cup is ours (0-5 ask Fed), on clay, there place..jim courrier is my hero..we are great lol

    Thank you so much !

    =)

  • dude, he got fined? Where was any lack of sportsmanship? He was WELL within his rights to talk to the ref. That's bull.

  • David was screwed over big time by the ump.

He totally had this, the call crushed his momentum.

  • 2:22 Marcos Baghdatis?

  • web site -- tenisbet.com

  • The Umpire Loses Control

  • @Peaches1822: exactly. I remembered that final match between fed and delpo. delpo leisurely took all his time to challenge that call even after 20 secs (which is already very very late). Really bear no respect towards his opponent at all

  • I like pie

  • It was a fault

  • dumbass umpire. players can't challenge after the umpire announced the score BUT he should do so only after checking with the player see if he wanna challenge or not in a reasonable timeframe. you don't just rush off announcing the score then say you can't challenge because I announced the score.

  • Refs fault the linesmen called out he didn't hear the overrule he clearly was looking and thinking about challenging anyone can see that and the ref calls duce he should of waited or asked like every other ref at the aus open would u like to challenge

  • The umpire was at fault. Nalbandian was looking at the line thinking to challenge or not. The umpire should know. Usually umpire asks the player if he wants to challenge or not but in this case the score was announced before doing so.

And by the way, that serve was a fault!!

  • You call that "losing control?" Have you pissed off a Korean guy?

  • i really like nalbandian but in this case i think the ref was right... he waited long enough, than he called the score and emmidiactly after david calls chalenge... well by then it was too late, very understandeble, after the score is anounced there is nothing to do about it . full stop.

  • @plstrom he took 6 seconds from the moment the umpire explained why he had changed the resolution of the field judge, is that so much or only the time you need to understand a ridiculous mistake after a 5 hours match?

  • @xilo301 well i think so , 6 seconds looking to a mark is a long time . yes after 5 hours ... the ref was there too from the beginning... : )

I think the rule is fine as it is...

  • @plstrom im not a tennis master, if you say that 6 seconds is a lot to understand that you must be right, but atp must teach players again because rafa had the same problem the next day, in my opinion its realy unfair because you have to understand a weird situation in 1 second being tired and confused, but i think the rule is that because players ask too many eyes, in the final nole ask twice eyes that couldnt win only to rest a while.

  • Comment removed

  • Nalbandian = failure

  • @SpringerHerten1 umpire: ridiculous and unfair

  • There should be a specified time-frame for the players to challenge. Like, say, ten seconds or so. The way they do it now is retarded and erratic.

  • @Gorbisch well , the time frame is until the umpire anounces the score and in this case he waited a long time for it...

  • he challenged after 20 seconds, and in the meantime he was trying to understand why it had been overrulled.. Djokovic and Nadal in the Final averaged a 30 second pause between each point against the allowed 20., If you want to go by the book, you should always go bt the book.

  • @symba it was a special situation the umpire changed resolution and explained it to nalbandian then he took 6 seconds, double mistake of the umpire.

  • What an idiotic umpire.

  • Tokic

  • The ref fucked up twice. He over ruled the correct call of 'out' then wouldn't let Nalbandian challenge.

  • @cosmeticcarrepair bravo! this is what happened!

  • I felt so bad for Nalbandian when I saw that, the poor guy was let down badly by that umpire@xilo301

  • Tickets to see a tennis match should be far more expensive. That would solve the problem.

  • jeebus Team David here!

Kader was wrong.David did NOT wait to challenge so why not allow the guy to have his effing challenge? this is the same Kader who is crazy about Caro W

usually a pretty darn fair ump but he screwed big time here

  • I don't understand what happened..?

  • In

  • Some of the umpires were being the biggest cunts at the Australian Open this year. Murray complained to the umpire in his opening match about Harrison taking too long in between points, when Harrison wasn't even moving slowly, Murray just happened to be losing and needed a way to stir up the guy. Besides, in terms of taking time between points, like Murray can talk?

  • well Nalbandian did nothing wrong here.. most people at tennis matches don't know anything about tennis, regardless where it is.

  • Nalbandian is one of the most talented players in the world, sadly he might not be respected for that. Isner said something along the lines of "He can't challenge after 5 minutes?" The video was less then 4minutes....Nalbandian clearly wanted the challenge might he took an extra five seconds to challenge which is FAR LESS then any other player.

  • Nalbandian did nothing wrong here.

  • i was at this match it was awesome. After bagdhatis played and did his tantrum

  • FUCK I DON'T BLAME NALBANDIAN

Crowd was a bunch of dickheads booing and shit - if i was him, I woulda climbed up the stands and beat them senseless with my tennis racket - or just give them the finger

but sport starts can't do that...

no one appreciates how hard it is to be a sports athelete

  • Isner that asshole, look at him pick his nose

  • both people were right because Nalbandian can't challenge after the umpire calls the score (which was 2 seconds after) but the umpire also did call the score when he was still looking at the mark.

  • @MyNameIsTimeless actually yes it is a rule. The umpire asked him repeatedly (although im not sure you can hear it in this clip) if he wanted to challenge, but Nalbandian took too long to do so. That means the call stands. However, given the circumstances it was a contentious call. Despite that, the umpire was in the right

  • Dont say that Nalbandian was in the wrong... the umpire said that he waited too long so he wasnt allowed to challenge... THATS NOT EVEN A RULE! The player has as long as they want to inspect where the ball landed, so this little idiot says that he cant challenge because he waited too long, when the ball was in fact called out in the first place.

So he over rules a call, then refuses to allow a challenge? That screams of bias.

  • Comment removed

  • @MyNameIsTimeless oh please. do some research. IT IS A RULE. Nalbandian screwed up, had to deal with the consequences and then let it rattle him out of the rest of the match. Yes it was a long hard match, but that's his profession and he's been playing a long time so should know better. This is just him (and you all giving the umpire hate) looking for anyone else to blame for Nalbandian's loss. At the end of the day, Nalbandian couldn't get over it, and he lost focus and the game. His fault.

  • this umpire is horrible...nalbandian was absolutely right

  • kader is a very bad judge !!! Janko Tipsarevic went to ATP and asked them to banned kader from his match and he did it ! FUCK KADER !!! NALBANDIAN!!!!

  • I am on David's side... like the rest of tennis fans and players

  • Pero Che, que estas haciendo tano! sos un buen player.

  • Last week I went to Unquillo and saw David (I took a photo with him), he was really thin, hope he could back to the top ten this year.

  • JC266652 enter that code in a free app on ipad called juno credits to get a $25 itunes gift card!

  • dave got hooked

  • stupid umpire, go nalbandian!

  • Fairplay my ass. How the fuck did nalbandian get a fine for lack of sportsmanship? If anyone is lacking sportsmanship its the umpire and his opponent.

  • @kizaman Isner did absolutely NOTHING wrong... Nalbandian was still a but about it, fair or not

  • Isner's the biggest faggot alive... American bastard..

  • This was total BS. Nalbandian would have won this match no problem. Isner got lucky. But I would have loved for Nalbandian to come back and get past this and win this match. Would have been a better turnaround.

  • Umpires are REDUNDANT in all sport nowdays fire them all and replace with computers who will always be right and transparent from replays!

  • @Neosin1 there will always be human error, you cant get around it

  • What is Spanish for "You cannot be serious?". All things considering he kept a cool head. What a clown that umpire is

  • also please rename video to 'australian open umpires suck' thx

  • Comment removed

  • this is why we should use proper umpires, preferably australian in matches without aussies playing

  • he lost the match because of that

  • Then that tall fucken bastard has the audacity to say he's been waisting time for 5 minutes, fucken american fuckehead

  • Im sick of seeing games being decided on the incorrect call of a stupid or bribed umpire. All close calls should be automatically referred to hawk eye we see hows right and points given, end of story.

  • This is ridiculous. I can't understand: How the umpire can overrule after 4 hours and 35 minutes of playing in the fifth set with 8 games all and break point. And the worst thing of this that he overruled not being sure if the ball was out or not. He knew that he was wrong so then he said that is too late for challenge. Nalbandian had 2 challenges remaining. Cmon most of the people defend David and the best idea that organization has is giving him a $8.000 fine?. This umpire should be penalized.

  • @megagman9 u can challenge on Margaret Court Arena it has a screen, and Nalbandian did have a point he looked at the mark then challenged the umpire called deuce when he looked at the mark.

  • is that Josh from the 2011 Block in the background when he's talking to the court marshall?

  • That's Magaret Court Arena. You can't challenge on it because they don't have a have a hawkeye camera so it's no ones fault.

So all you haters on Isner and the umpire need to get a life and a brain.

  • @megagman9 And you need to get your facts right. It is completely possible to challenge on Margaret Court, if not, how do you think this whole thing would have happened?

  • @megagman9 Margaret Court Arena DOES have hawke eye this year. I should know because I was a line umpire on the court myself this tournament. RLA, Hisense & MCA are the courts with hawke eye technology in 2012.

  • It's no ones fault that's Margaret court arena. They don't have a hawkeye camera so you can't challenge.

So all you haters on Isner and the umpire need to go get lost.

  • why don't let him challenge?? idiot!

  • @giogibsongio because the rules of tennis say that given the circumstances in the match it is not possible to challenge a call. you don't agree take it up with the ITF don't blame the chair umpire.

  • @arazzon umm yeh they are allowed to challenge an overrule it happens all the time what u smokin?

  • UMPIRE LOSES CONTROL

  • that gay isner is telling the umpire to hurry up when only 2 min has passed. a true player would have told the umpire to let nalbandian challegne. also, nalbandian counldt hear well what the umpire said when he said "duece". he thought it was out. idiot umpire fucking go die.

  • the ball was clearly out!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Uh lose control? Lol Nalbandian seems to be in control to me..

  • One of the biggest mistakes in the tennis history. The biggest bastard umpire in the tennis history.

  • This is killing of tennis. Umpire tries to play the big boss but his decision is absolutely redicilous. If i were on the court, i wouldnt continue the Game. Think about it; it is 2-2 on sets, last set tie break 8-8 + THE LİNE JUDGE CALLS OUT, and this bastard overrules it and calls the ball was good. If this is not e enough, he didnt let Nalbandian to look for EYEHAWK. Disgusting. This is killing of tennis. By the way i am not from Argentina or Armenia,i am just a tennis fan from Turkey-Istanbul.

  • Even using youtube replay technology that was out

  • retarded umpire

  • Where did he lose control? He was right what he said at the press release afterwards....and then getting a fine from oz open was mind boggling...cmon Australia use your brains..

  • i have to say john isner was being a real ass about it

  • i like the umpire's hair C:

  • umpire should've been fined, not Nalbandian

  • How many times has it gone deuce?

  • WTF just happened

  • @benahawk Line judge called fault when the chair umpire overruled. Nalbandian had no more challenges left

  • I don't get it what happened with the umpire

  • "David Nalbandian Loses Control"? What The Fuck? This retard umpire makes a horrible decision which basically lost the match for nalbandian which then leads to his fine? Seriously? That is soo fucked up, fuck that.

  • THE UMPIRE SHOULD BE BANNED FOR 2 YEARS FOR SHEER INCOMPETENCE AND LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM.

  • If there's dispute between decisions of an linesmen(out) and umpire(in/deuce) you as a player always have a right to challenge. So if video referee says yes/no in best it's replay point and in worst you lose a challenge and it's deuce.Nalbandian was right to ask for challenge but it's Aust.Open where anything can happen. All needed is few bad calls to shift a match around-especially if you don't take them well.

  • LMAO AT THE END

    "Duce"

    Fearless bastard

  • Fuck the ATP!!

  • nalbandian shouldv won. fking retarded umpire

  • it's second time this things happen, with federer was the same....those umpires should be punish

  • It was in, the umpire was right, and Nalbandian took too long to challenge. Nalbandian should have been fined for all this time wasting.

  • @catbaz007 there was a hawkeye replay (ESPN, not on court) and the ball was out. After being cleared up of what happened, Nalbandian took 7 seconds to challenge, way less than a lot of the players on tour. Go research before you post.

  • @NeftysFrona if you have problems with inconsistency between umpires take it up with ATP. Don't blame the individual umpire enforcing the rules and calling what he sees. That's his job, and he did it. The umpire asked Nalbandian several times if he wanted to challenge without a response. He had plenty of time and opportunity in that situation and he took too long. In the other matches it wasn't the same context. Also hawkeye is not an ESPN thing. Why don't you do research?

  • @catbaz007 you stupid thick fuck

  • @catbaz007 Haha you are just joking, or you are completely retarded.

  • is that the CIA agent from Casino Royale?

  • Where is that scene of throwing racquets or throwing bottle?

  • nalbandian was stolen, how didnt allow the hawk eye after changing the point side?, its realy ridiculous. this umpire must be fired.

  • @xilo301 oh for god's sake. Nalbandian is a big boy. If he can't cope with not getting a challenge he wants when he asked for it AFTER the umpire had called the score and he lets that rattle him into losing, he needs to take the blame for that. It's his mental weakness there, not the umpires. His supporters should quit blaming the umpire. Nalbandian made his own choices and played his own poor tennis afterwards.

  • @tipsykitty i dont understand you so well i have problems with phrasals verbs. i realy dont understand you im not a tennis master but i know what im seeing, that was disgusting played 5 hours, the umpire changed the chair judge resolution and dont give the eye because of 1 minute delay in 8-8 break point, when there is not time rule, if you dont react you have not blood, the next day rafa had the same situation, atp dont want critic players it seems, maxime when they are right.

  • @xilo301 it doesn't matter how long they played, the rules are the rules and the umpire's job is to enforce them. Nalbandian took too long to challenge. If he thinks it's unfair, he should have challenged sooner. I see you are misinformed. There actually IS a rule about how long you have. It's not a defined number of seconds, but the rule says you have to challenge promptly and cannot take more time than is necessary. He took too long and missed out. I feel sorry for him, but it's his own fault

  • @tipsykitty may be you are right but is still ridiculous and unfair nalbandian lost 5 five hours time match!!! because a rule that or dont exist or is new or didnt was well explained to players, because rafa had the same problem the next day, you cant tell me that they dont know the rules or want to lose, if the rule is not exact this must be explained several times to players clearly this is realy important, and david only took 10 seconds to ask it after look the field, its still unfair.

  • @tipsykitty the rules are the rules and the rule DONT EXIST, david took 6 seconds in a match of 5 hours after speak with the umpire, that i dont understand well the video but i read the umpire changed the resolution of the net umpire, its ridiculous that 6 seconds in a strange play were the umpire change a resolution can be too much time, was only the time for david to understand the strange situation and ask the eye,

  • This video should be called Umpire that screwed up over-ruling a right call. Who writes this stuff?? Get it right damhnit!.

  • WHO WON THE FUCKING GAME?!?!?!

  • @McRosco95 guess who. nalbandian was stolen.

  • please. he took forever. the umpire waited a respectful time, then called the score. once he's called the score he can't go back and allow a challenge. it should have been a no brainer for nalbandian. yes it sucked for him, but he made the wrong choice and he didn't react well to it (in that he lost his focus and thus lost the match). Enough of the umpire hate. You do that job and see just how easy that is, eh?

  • worse judge nuff said

  • He should have got that challenge end of the story....

  • Marcos Baghdatis!

    Marcos Baghdatis!

  • What sort of video title is that? The man kept a cool head. It should be "Incompetent umpire ruins the game".

  • @rogerfedererfan98 Learn to spell "wasted" before writing any bullshit on here.

  • Kudos to Nalbandian for keeping his cool in such a tense and frustrating moment. He lost control where or when? Any normal human being would have punched this disgraceful umpire

  • @Xavierthegreat666 refusing to play for nearly 5 minutes is not keeping your cool. Keeping your cool is gritting your teeth and playing on, then filing a complaint after the match.

  • @PortsmouthNoir

Lol, you are so wrong. He spend three minutes appealing a really poor decision that turned out to be crucial, nowhere he lost his composure like the likes of Serena Williams. Filing a complaint after match after losing? Are you serious? These guys play for money!

  • Jeffrey Wright - worst umpire at an Australian Open ever.

  • At 2:14 camera man forgot to open the lens cap :)

  • Isner's face at 3:23... FUCK YOU! Nalba is the best.

  • Nalbandian=waisted talent

  • @rogerfedererfan98 may be, but he is argentine davis hero, he had played injured, and destroyed several top ten in their own country, he is not federer that only think about tennis he wants to live too.

  • it wasn't to late to challenge. he has 10 seconds and anyone can clearly see that it wasn't late..

and the umpire should have make them play the point again because someone on the public scream ´´out´´, in other times when that happens they play the point again

  • @labal001 all say there is not a rule about it, and umpire changed the point side, its obvious he must give hawks eye.

  • you idiots he didn't loose control

he was so damn right of what he was claiming

    the umpire is an idiot

and without that fucking umpire nalbandian would've won

  • Nouni made an equally ridiculous decision in a Radwanska match

last year which reduced her to tears - she also went on to lose the match.

See Youtube video Radwanska - Safarova

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH @2:20 people are chanting MARCOS BAGHDATIS for THIS match!!!

  • that punk umpire probably took isner's money

  • aussie cheaters

  • stupid ump

  • I think the ATP need to sort their act out with stuff like this. Nalbandian got fined because he complained about having taking too long to challenge. Federer got fined against del potro for swearing about del potro taking too long to challege. There needs to be consistency or this would have never have happened, and what a stupid time to even think about not letting a player challenge. A good umpire in tennis is never noticed cos thats his job, a bad one can ruin the outcome of a match

  • @Peaches1822 "A good umpire in tennis is never noticed cos thats his job" that is well said my friend. Beeing a referee is not only about strictly following the rules of the game, especially when it is 8-8 in the fifth set and you just overruled a call at break point you need sure instinct..

  • @Peaches1822 The umpire followed the rules of tennis to the letter. That is his job regardless of what the players think or want to happen out there. This is one of the top touring professional umpires in the world & he should be admired for not getting swayed by angry players & a booing crowd & instead following the rules that govern the sport. If you don't like the rules thats not the umpires fault, take it up with the ITF.

  • @arazzon You almost made my point, with WHERE IS THE CONSISTENCY??? it was nothing to do with him following the letter of the law. It was to do with Del potro taking 20 seconds to challenge a ball at the USO and then federer complaining (and swearing) and getting a fine. The umpire should not have let delpo challenge because it was too long. May argument was, there is no consistency with what all umpires (even this one) do with challenges. I never saw this match all the way through, but I would

  • @arazzon bet that he let either of these players longer to challenge previously than he let nalbandian to challenge that ball. Therefore, the umpire wasn't in the wrong for not letting nalbandian challenge in this point, but he is massively in the wrong (as with all umpires) for letting players take too long to challenge. That's my point, if you admit that the umpire wasn't in the wrong for this instance, you have to admit he is in the wrong for every other time he has let a player take too

  • @arazzon long to challenge a ball, either way, umpires consistently get their job wrong, so just because you have played a similar role and understand the pressure of the situation, does not mean that your right about how well the umpire performs. He is either right in this instance, and wrong in every other, or wrong in this instance, and right in every other, take your pick son, and if you don't like it, 'take it up with the ITF'

  • veru bad none

  • انه التحكيم يا ناس

  • Mac is back,,,,,

  • this is what i paid to go see :D

  • bullshit umpire.

  • nouni in my language means pussy :)

  • This is the worst decision from an umpire I have ever seen in tennis. Shame to you stupid asshole, go away from tennis

  • what does Isner say at 3:00?

complaining that about Nalbandian or Nouni?

  • @NeftysFrona I thought I heard "five minutes"--I'm guessing he was complaining about how long Nouni was allowing the protest to go on. So he's complaining about both people. Although if the logic of not allowing late challenges is to preserve the flow of the match, you have to wonder why Nouni didn't do anything to stop 2 minutes of chaos from taking place.
