  • good times!!

  • I remember monster vision on TNT every Saturday it was great!!

  • Miss the hell outta this stuff...and UP all night with Rhonda Shear....TV is lame as hell these days.

  • My left ear enjoyed this.

  • Man I miss Monstervision so much!

  • miss this show for real

  • I dont know how recent this info is but Joe Bob is suppose to host a MonsterVision style show on the yet to be launched network HorrorNet.

  • Viacom has already started taking down Monstervision episodes down by the droves

    :/

  • I remember this being on tnt. He showed the best movies. Why did it even get cancelled?

  • @jimk5447 they started calling it Joe Bob's Big Hollywood Movie and showing crap like Problem Child 2 instead of the good drive-in movies. Even Joe Bob was disgusted with the change in format. Man, I sure miss Monstervision!

  • I remember watching this on TNT when it aired... Joe Bob always showed the coolest movies!

  • I've spent the last week or two finding all these great Joe Bob videos on Youtube, and it's making me so nostalgic for the 90s. I miss "MonsterVision." It was perfect, as I discovered it in 1996 just as I was getting into horror films, and it was great to be able to see all these movies each week, plus Joe Bob was informative and hilarious. Wish he was still on TV.

  • I miss Monstervision.

  • 90's we love you

  • is there a way to find out where the segments go in the movie? i'm trying to watch them together right now... :D

  • Such is Joe Bob's awesomeness, that I'm entertained watching this even thoguh I haven't actually seen this movie.

He was always great to watch!

  • Four stars!

  • i love this show

  • Joe Bob will you get this crap back on cable!!!

  • 9 years to make?? Man I thought I procrastinated!

  • wow i remember this night. first time I'd seen the movie, and had to run out and find all the others right away. Phantasm is now my absolute favorite horror film series. I miss Monstervision and spending my saturday nights hangin out with joe bob briggs

  • Joe Bob Briggs - is Awesome!! My brother and I used to try to stay awake and watch MonsterVision every week. Great memories!!

Thanks so much for posting this.

  • Oh god, thank you to whoever posted this. I remember staying up to watch this show and ending up passed out on the couch before the movie was done. I still remember his most awesome joke, having to deal with a blonde wife and a kelloggs cornflake box.

  • Did the original Phantasm had a crazy washer machine scene or something?

  • Phantasm II rocked.

    Joe Bob Briggs rules.

  • They had to call the first Phantasm film here in Oz The Never Dead so not to confuse it with a softcore sex film Fantasm, I've seen both and Phantasm was better, Fantasm was just bits from porn films shown in response to dear abby letters, you know, one for the raincoat brigade. there was a follow on too Fantasm Comes Again which was more of the same.

  • @lefty5128 LMAO! Dude, you just made my day! I always wondered why they called it that in Australia, but the truth is far more hilarious than any of the more sensible marketing reasons I tried to come up with! Thanks!

  • @44excalibur No worries mate, I had to laugh at that too, as the 2 films have nothing in common unless alien midgets give you wood. At least on DVD you can see the film better, I remember on video tape you could hardly see who was who in the night scenes. The Tall Man rocks, I wish I had a dad like the tall man, you know, always having time to play ball.

  • There is an internet radio show called Death By DVD that is broadcasted live every friday night at 11 PM eastern on a website called Blog Talk Radio. This week they are doing an homage/tribute to Joe Bob Briggs. Check it out!

  • was a good show

  • TNT why did you change??!!

I always got excited for the "Oh My Godzilla" marathon.

  • this is what tv is missing now a cool host that talks about and shows cool movies. i watched this and usa up all night as a kid miss them both. they should just replay them for us if they can't come up with anything new.

  • OMG I miss this show, I miss Joe Bob, I miss old school TNT, and I miss old school TV!!! *tears* Bring back good TV!!

  • Used to love joe bob doing these. It's a shame he got fired back in 2000. He filled the void when sci-fi channel cancelled mystery sci theater 3000(and yes I am aware Joe bob was doing this while that show was still on..

  • Bring back the Hemicuda!!

  • MAN I remember this show

  • AWESOME!!!!

  • "We got a whole buncha plot getting in the way of the story."

Holy crap I remember watching this when it aired. Really takes me back. Thanks for the upload!

Btw you wouldn't happen to have the segments from "The Nair Witch Project" would you? Never got to see all of that one, don't even remember the movie that they played during it but it was when they'd changed to the vastly inferior "Joe Bob's Saturday Night" format IIRC.

  • I miss monster vision

  • dear God, my childhood is flashing before my eyes!

  • I miss this show

  • I do like the theme tune to phantasm 2 ,

  • Google joe bob briggs & go to his home page. There is a petition to get MonsterVision back on TNT.

  • Somebody please post some of Rusty the Mail Girl.

  • Joe Bob is awsome, this brings back alot of good memories from when I was young.

  • next to rhonda shear on usa up all night ... joe bob brigss was an awesome host

  • Joe Bob Briggs & Monstervision should be on AMC

  • oh you damn right. i miss this so badly. oh man, this was great TV

  • @MadMarSkee He definitely needs to be somewhere on cable, be it AMC, TCM Underground, Syfy, anything.

  • @MadMarSkee I can see Monstervision being on AMC or FX.

  • Thanks for uploading this!! Hopefully Phantasm 2 will see the light of day on DVD with this as a bonus feature (that would ruuullleee soooo hard!!).

  • What ever happened to that hot piece of ass, Paula Irvine, that played Mike's girlfriend in this film? Anybody know?

  • Man, we gotta friggin' stat a petition urging PII's release on DVD!

  • It needs to happen!! Supply and demand!! We're demanding it!! RORGH!!

  • Toh-dilly, dude! My used VHS copy is showin' some wear!

  • Comment removed

  • from what ive heard Universal has no plans or interest to release this on dvd...seems they dont or wont release the licensing rights.. guess thats why Anchor Bay has them all out on DVD except #2...

  • Man, Universal sucks dog balls marinated in skank gravy and pubic hair pasta...

    ...nonetheless, thanks for the info..

  • It comes out next month I think.

  • I remember this!! I think this was late-1998 or early-1999. I could not sleep at all that night after watching this. The movie scared the hell out of me.

    Thanks for uploading!

  • I remember when Job Bob hosted the Friday the 13th marathon on Halloween night, it had to have be in the late 90's when I saw it.

  • Wow, this takes me back to high school. Monstervision was also where I first saw Phantasm 2 - fucking classic.

  • '98? Looks like '88.

  • Dude, there's nothing like kickin' back with some Jack and Coke and remembering the good ol' days of TV with Joe Bob! Miss this kind of stuff. thank goodness for YouTube and the like. TV today is terrible.

  • wow. Monster Vision. Brings back memories.

  • i remember this!!! oh man! watching cheesy horror movies with my sisters!! oh good ol' joe bob!! man i miss that guy!!

  • Thank you for this!

  • The fatter, the better!

  • ahaha I remember watching this on tv

    Joe Bob is the man

  • I miss that show....

  • Sweet, sweet memories. Brings me back to a good place. Thanks for the upload.

  • It bums me out that Monstervision is gone. I really miss USA Up All Night and Monstervision. There isn't even a mutated version of this type of show right now. Macabre Theater still airs in Phoenix, AZ, but even that isn't Monstervision.

    Joe Bob! Where are you?

  • hey check out his website and you can sign the petition to TNT that could bring back monstervision!!!

  • aww the good old day. I miss monstervision it was awesome and it been ten years wow how old am I. can not belive that I wish we had show like that now it suck without a good horror movie night.

  • USA Up All Night, Reel Wild Cinema, TNT Monstervision, Mystery Science Theater 3000,Commander USA's Groovey Movies, all priceless.

  • duuuuude. we have nothing like this here. why ohwhy. it's great.

  • You are my hero for posting these! Although I LOVED Monstervision, this was my all time favorite! *HUG*

  • damn, 10 years ago! I was about 14, holy shit.

  • This *really* invokes a wicked nostalgia rush. Very nice!

  • Brings back such awesome memories, bring Joe Bob back to television! I will watch him every time!

  • Chill out Joe Bob. the Hemi'Cuda in this was a 318 Barracuda and a ratty one at that! Check out the cracked dash pad and black tape on the ripped seats.

  • LOL. I'm with you all the way hamtrak. Coscerelli may have had a 3 million dollar budget on this one but there was no way they were going to shell out for a Cuda with a 440-6 or a 426 hemi. My guess is that the money went into the paint job. Afterall, they blow the thing up in the film.

  • @DIOTD2008 prob a kit car

  • LOL! From 04:03-04:40, about his reaction to the embalming needle slurping scene is halarious!! Especially after he says "..Embalming needle splurpee happened -WHOOOOO!!" Just classic Joe Bob. Miss those Monstervision days! Thanks for posting!!

    -Shawn

  • Man I miss shows like this and "USA Up All Night"...I wish they would bring them back.

  • "Too much plot getting in the way of the story". LMAO!!! Joe Bob is AWESOME!!! THANK YOU for posting some good ole JB. Definitely post more Monstervision if you get a chance. :-D!!

  • Dude, Thank you for this! I havn't seen this in years! I'm getting a kick out of these old MonsterVision segments.

Do you have the segments from Lengend of Boddy Creek? I do somewhere, but i need to figure out how to get it from VHS to the computer. Is there some kinda machine i can get at Radio Shack to do that, friend?
