@xyvyxyvyx To answer your question, xyvyxyvyx, once you finish the game on ANY difficulty setting(Easy Automatic, Normal, Hard and/or Dante Must Die), oddly enough, you get the Sparda Sword back when you play the "next game" or "cleared game" of DMC1. The Sparda Sword is a fantastic Devil Arm, sadly, you only get to tinker with it in this game(you get to play with the Sparda Sword in DMC2, but you play as Trish). @Brunoxsa Lets be honest, if you could devil trigger with sparda in normal gameplay it would only be fun for like the first 5 mins. Then it would get boaring not being able to die and 1 hitting everything.

i think this is one of the most artistic 'game swords' Capcom came up with. It looks amazing, the idea that it slides into different shapes is brilliant and of course (being a DMC maniac) the cut scene is brilliantly animated.
This great sword is so big... Try starting to estimate Dante's physical strength by loking at how easily he swings it even with one hand. He could win weight lifting Olympics without breaking a sweat
I heard DMC2 doesn't exist in the story because Capcom didn't like it (it was made by another Capcom studio than the other DMC games). Only something I heard though, not sure if it's true. But it comes from somewhat of a DMC fan.
even though the 2nd game was not made by the original team, the new team were using some limited resources left by the original and roughly made another game... =_=
it's still canon, but there is hardly any story in that game anyway. if you pay attention about the technology dmc4 developes; it's actualy related to dmc2...^o^

Does anyone notice dante had epic green eyes in DMC1? then they gave him crappy blue eyes.
Thats what annoyed me the most.

Is the awakened Sparda sword available when you complete the game and replay, or do you have to complete a certain difficulty to obtain it?
I haven't played DMC1 in, I suppose, 4 years? I've just recently bought it again since my first one was stolen.
I've researched, I haven't found any answers.

Either Ifrit or Alastor. They're both good. Ifrit's Rolling Blaze works excellent. Grenade rolling is also a good strategy.
