  • whats withall the comments being diabled on your other videos

  • @beabiker Because I chose to.

  • hey once again great vids keep them coming. i have been getting 20% nitro from my local hobby shop and they stopped selling it and replaced it with 20% helli nitro would this be ok to use in my HPI SAVAGE X4.6

    Thanks

  • @danielknocker1 Its going to be a lot of oil in that mix...

  • hi is a traxxas 1/16 as fun as the 1/10 thanks

  • Off subject: Have you tried a Mid-Grade LiPo such as Gens Ace, rather than going all the way up to Max Amps and then all the way down to Tunigy? Gens Ace is VERY cheap, just not quite as cheap as Tunigy. The difference is the benchmarking. According to REAL benchmark results, Gens Ace developed the only cheap batteries that compete with Max Amps, Orion, or Thunder Power in voltage holding under stress and constant amperage over time.

  • @wallacengineering

My point here is: I really think you would love Gens Ace, why don't you give 'em a shot? 7.4 Volt (2S) 5000mAh 40C (200 Amp) ROAR-Approved LiPo is only $35!!!

  • Squirrel, the new Associated SC10 4x4 is supposed to be some miraculous engineering marvel with its unique layout and new features. What do you think about this sudden change in Associated; or rather, RC engineering all together? Also, will you be reviewing the kit?

  • No ,but I will try and find them.Thanx.

  • I know this is off subject,BUT.I am thinking about the AE RC18B2/T2 kit.I would like to know your thoughts on the kit,please.$120 is not a lot to spend, but I don't want to waste money on a bad kit either, thank you for all the videos you do,I get a lot from them.Again thank you and take care.

  • @timidbuck Have you seen my review vids on this kit yet?

  • @PimpinRCRacin Its in my review link in the vid description

  • hey,squirrel,great videos!^^,

what happens with ask squirrel if miss squirrel gets pregnant?...

    i hope i haven´t offend you i some way=)...

  • @TheTeenagedirt No idea, we are about to find out though ;)

  • squirrel, what is your favorite traxxas mini?

  • @rcsupercarz Summit

  • Ok I'm using a spektrum servo s6030, need a new servo horn, what size fits spektrum futuba or JR or other??

  • @mrjdgates If I recall correctly, it has the same number of teeth as JR which is why Losi is so big on them.

  • @traxxasrc97

I had the same problem with my Revo just buy a slipper clutch rebuild kit cheap and easy and works

  • Hey Squirrel I was out driving my t maxx and it was running fine then it stopped moving but the engine was still running fine. It will creep forward at about 5mph at full throttle but thats it. I think it has something to do with the clutch Please Help.

  • @traxxasrc97 Could be clutch or slipper.

  • Hello squirrel, what is the meaning of a race roller kit? Example kyosho mp9 race roller kit, Thanks.

  • @magnosd8 No electronics, engine, or pipe. Just the RC.

  • Hey! There's a window in your shop area! Never seen it before hahaha

  • @Wiiviewsowner Oh yeah, there are die hards everywhere. The sad part is, what is best for one may not be best for all but people tend to not think outside their bubble.

  • Hey man love the vids as always quick question right now i am running my starter box on two identical lipo packs running with the the same setup as what you would with the nimh or nicad batts. Anyhow is there a better, or easier way to power it any suggestions would be great i have heard mixed stuff about using gel cells and i don't wanna have to blow a bunch of money on something that isn't gonna work thanks again keep up the great work you and your videos have helped me so much!

  • @wdpshooter316 Gel cell 12v pack is what I always used. Longer lasting.

  • You can also pick up the squid charger adapter which is awesome through either thetoyz or racers edge for under 20 dollars and takes care of all your charging needs!

  • @wdpshooter316 yup, yup

  • MINAHMINAH!!!!!!!!

  • can u try out the mmp sct in the ten scte please i would like a review

  • @dropkinn Im using a MMP but not that motor.

  • Ha, what do ya know...I just got done spanking mine...lol.

  • @Leprechaun79 I think that your fingers stuck to the '.' a little too much post spanking. FYI on where to clean

  • @Squirrelod lol, that was a good one................damn it, it happened again! I am going to have hairy palms.

  • hey squirrel im not sure if you covered this but i know you said that you can dye lighter colored plastic parts but can you dye black plastic parts a lighter coloer, or bleach them and then dye them, do you have any experience doing this or have you ever heard of anyone being successful trying this? thanks in advance

  • @ravekibbles No.

  • @Squirrelod just no? no what? no its not possible? i know your busy but thanks for bein so specific?

  • @ravekibbles You asked "but can you dye black plastic parts a lighter coloer, or bleach them and then dye them, ......or have you ever heard of anyone being successful trying this?" and the answer to all is "no". I am not sure what else you are looking for. You can only dye light colors to darker. Its like mixing paints. It has nothing to do with how busy I am but has everything to do with the answer.

  • @Squirrelod thank you

  • Hey squirrel I'm trying to decide between a traxxas revo 3.3 and the new savage x 4.6, I have always wanted a revo but recently heard of the lifetime of the 3.3 and my friend has a clutch problem with his, what is your opinion on the hpi 4.6 engine?

  • @gtbmxracer405 Either one I would want a new engine. The savage is more durable in my opinion. I would get the savage, sell the engine new, and buy a LRP .28 for it.

  • Hey Squirrel i was wondering how much amps can a deans connector handle safely i know that they are "rated" to about 100 amps but what would u say ? thx iff u find the time to answer this ^^

  • @qwertiko Ive ran above 100A on them with no issues. The worry is melting the plastic but you are typically never over 100A that long to cause much stress.

  • That squeaking squirrel in the end of the video, Hilarious!!!

  • @videoposter555 There was more to the vid but had to cut it out. Got too long ;)

  • awww squirrel i wish you woulda posted the promo code bout a week ago i just spent $350 on the toyz :( also do you know a good way i can mount a 3 racing alloy wing mount onto my 18t shock tower? i tried a lexan mount but the screws always pull out of that. thanks!

  • @beastxmoder Have you tried plastic? Can you swap the rear tower out for a B?

  • @Squirrelod hmm i havnt tried a b mount are they very different? is it a direct fit? thanks!

  • @PimpinRCRacin I did a mini one awhile back. Otherwise, I am not buying another

  • @Wiiviewsowner Feelings tend to not get hurt that way ;) =)

  • NIce Job Brian! Damn how many SC trucks are gonna come out? A new one every day LOL. Wonder what the next thing will be after SC....I think my next rc will be a Losi 8ight truggy. After getting the Savage flux and Vorza flux,1/8 scale seems to be where its at for me. Thumbs up on the vid! ~Shawn

  • @95666 Well, now it might be SC buggies... lol

  • @Squirrelod Haha, theyre pretty much buggies already.

  • by the way the buggy was running good until I broke the pull start or could it been the WD-40

  • @Mikevon2001 Could have been the cocaine, the cocaine. Could have been the champagne, the champagne.

  • I just broke the pull start on the 810 i just replaced it I used some WD40 as a after burn old until the new pull starter came in, so i installed it and went out to day to run it and it would not stay running, so i replace the Glow and it start after a hold lot of pulls but still can keep it running long even to put the body back on. the idle its at a 1/8th of a inch plus the buggy pulls now so i now Or could it be that its still alittle cold out here pleaz Help

  • @Mikevon2001 Sounds cold and not pre-heated. Some engines run funny till about a gallon as well.

  • Why is one connector better than another?

  • @OffRoadAdventure94 Heat resistance to the current and also some are lowered resistance so that it transfers more to the motor/ esc

  • @Wiiviewsowner That would be my general opinion that I think the losi would be more competetive and durable which means they would handle great for a basher.

As for the whole versus thing, or your friend and his kit, I dont get into that. That is just my opinion

  • Awesome news Squirrel, those 2 kits looks really nice!

As I've said, can't wait to see the Losi in action!

  • @SandMan1684 Me too! As soon as this rain lets up I will be out there!

  • @Squirrelod Fantastic, thanks so much man!!

The Losi really intrigues me to death (also the SC8e seems a good one), maybe I'll replace my Slash 4x4 this summer! ;)

  • @SandMan1684 Im getting too many RCs again so I will be bleeding some off. One of them will be hyper. This reminds me of the hyper so far so it will be a good kit.

  • YAY Squirrel said my name LOL. thanks for the response on ask squirrel. appreciate it. :) saved in favorites

  • @bizarrozero NP

  • Hey squirrel. Does using 2 electric motors in an RC allow me to gear twice as high as using one motor.

  • @sourdonkeyjuice Well, it would give you more torque, so yes, you could but you also build more heat on those gears too. So, not too tall.

  • Hey Squirrel, which 40 series wheels would you suggest buying? Preferably with 1/2 inch offset.

  • @braco222 I like the tech 5 personally.

  • hi i would like to have ago at a kit but dont want to spend a fortune a 1/10th buggy or truggy would be nice around the £200 mark got any ideas ive allready got a sv2 5700kv combo from castle and transmitter and recivier i can use

  • On my summit i should add..

  • @discusdog mini or 1/10th?

  • @Squirrelod concidering the series 40 tires i'm going to guess it's a full size one:P

As always, keep up the good work!

  • @JWbrasser I guess I glanced over that detail. =P

  • @Squirrelod Noone's perfect!

  • @JWbrasser And I certainly am not =)

  • @Squirrelod Sorry, mine is the 1/10th but the servos fighting is I'm guessing would be the same issue on the mini

  • I agree with the single servo setup way better. the turnigy hv767 from hobby king is working great for me turning 40 series rc4wd rock crushers. metal bellcrank and servo horn shimmed the servo saver to stiffen it up

  • @discusdog Very nice! What model is that?

  • I see u opening all these kits and taling about them but where are the reviews wheres the d8 review and where is the JQ review just a little curious

  • @MRAlrounder I dont have to review or put videos out. I worked 15 hours yesterday. I am busy. I get to things when I can. When you see them on YT is when you will see them.

  • @MRAlrounder And when I say that I worked 15 hours, I do not mean on videos or RC, I mean my profession.

  • what tire would you recommend for a 2.2 crawler running in mostly mud? thanks for the help!

  • @hasek1616 Depend on thickness, etc. If its a little bit of mud with dirt under it then something like Badlands might be good. If it is really thick then you may not have much luck with a tire at all and paddles might be good but then that will not be good on rocks.

  • @Wiiviewsowner I think they will be more durable. It looks just like the Hyper. I only have a few packs on mine so I am in the early stages and cannot really say.

  • where did u get that deans connector thing making it bigger. ive seen but forget were to get them

  • @idrummerboy13 I make mine myself. You can get pigtails off of ebay. Deans makes pigtails so you can get them through any hobby store,

  • can i get the link?

  • I'm looking at a high-voltage servo for my Axial AX10, have you got any experience with them? If I understand it correctly only the signal wire goes to the RX, the plus and ground go to the lipo?

  • @leorcc No, the lipo is too much even for the servo to take. You might be able to run it at a fully charged 2s 8.4v lipo, but you will most likely kill the servo early. You need to get a BEC, Castle Creations has the best around. Wire that up to your esc connector so it sees the full lipo voltage and you can get the bec regulated with castle's software to what ever output voltage you want. You don't really want to run a HV servo over 7.4 volts anyways. I would suggest the BEC no matter what

  • @hasm0ney Thank you for the input. CC bec it will be then.

  • @hasm0ney Not entirely true. There are some servos that are designed to take a 2s lipo input. Further, you can run a higher voltage (like robotics) though it is a cost of the life of the servo. The less voltage that you run through it the longer it will last.

  • @leorcc You can do that but will also shorten the life of your servo. There are some servos that can take the 2s lipo but you will want to read those specs carefully. That is where I disagree with the other person. I do agree with, however, running a high torque crawler servo off of BECs as you can get a higher amp and voltage. The BECs off of ESCs typically are not programable and low. So, your servo will starve.

  • @Squirrelod Thanks for the reply. I already had to switch to a separate BEC because the ESC in my Axial couldn't handle the receiver and Savox Servo combo, but that BEC is 6V 8A so not suitable for a HV servo. A Castle Creations BEC would be a logical step as its programmable with the same Castle link as I use for the Revo and Vorza Flux, but I'm not sure how many volts it can output.

  • i saw a connector that had all the ends on it for charging. Cant really remember where, but it was pretty cool. It even had leads for chaging reciever packs,

  • @traxfan32 My turnigy 9 had most as well. Not all, but most.

  • sorry man, i wasnt paying attention didnt know it was a two parter.....i didnt mean to be a dick:(

  • @dallasandteela No worries
