@slimydick23 it was short for sayin' - she use to beat a beastie up ( u know - give em no play & say she wouldn't give em the time of day ) ..... now she's on his jammie !! ....... slang - can't fit all that in a rhyme
Without a doubt my favorite Beastie Boys song. I never had this on anything but the Krush Groove soundtrack and most fans of the BEasties have never heard it.
The song is cool and everything but these dudes are crazy like when there all like"if a pirate had a Def Jam shirt she'd be hard on his ship'' <---- like seriously lol can you say funny because i don't even no whats so cool about a Def Jam shirt anyway.
@jonathanbonglover Back in the 80s - Def Jam WAS THE LABEL .... it was your Rockafellas / Aftermath / G Unit of the time .... if you were on Def Jam u were tha shit !! ... and if u had a Def Jam shirt in tha beginning then they knew u had something to do with tha label & hoes would hook up w/ ya from just ur association .... get it ???
@ACNAero Once again .... RICK RUBIN was ( and still is ) tha man .... Slayer was produced by Rick Rubin on their 1986 LP .... AND WHEN RICK LEFT and started Def American / Slayer went with him and did a couple of LPs on his label .... Rick did rap but always used Rock & Roll in all his music no matter who the artists were - listen to early Beasties, LLCoolJ , RunDMC ... its all Rick's stamped ..
@anonymousent i wasn't talking about rick, i was saying that def jam is a rap label and slayer is thrash metal, and this is before the bring the noise combo, so how did slayer get signed to a rap label
@ACNAero Techically Rick wasn't rap at first ... he was in a " sorta " rock group @ first and developed Def Jam as rap became popular in the NY scene & was introduced to Russell which was a promotor at that time & that's how that combo developed - Rick became Beastie's first DJ & did most track developing for the early groups & used the heavy guitars & drums ... SLAYER was just another rock interest of Rick that he wanted to do business with
@anonymousent not to be a TOTAL dick, but Slayer aren't rock, they are metal. When it comes to a band that sounds the way they do, that is a big difference.lol sorry, that may seem unnecessary but I'm picky about calling bands rock or metal. Didn't mean to be rude.
@codebabe WELL .... didn't mean to " offend " ... but u right - i get offended when people confuse RAP & HIP HOP ..... so i get ya ..... BUT RICK does metal , rock , rap & hip hop
@codebabe .... habit .... most people do tha lol / bff / etc shit ... i just like puttin' tha instead of the ... more like slang word in my head .... LOL ....
