  • cilantro is surprisingly good in a green smoothie!

  • very blessed to come across your website, thank you!

  • so thats why a mango-only smoothie has such perfect texture

  • cute

  • Excellent video, thank you for making this video. Did you wash the fruits and veggie beforehand? LOL.

Thanks again, it is a beautiful video.

  • How about Edible Clay in our Smoothies?

  • Thanks so much!! Youa re awesome!!

  • She is Excellent. Yes, with a capital E :) I was amused the entire time by how methodical and serious yet enthusiastic she is. Terrific way to introduce folks to the art of delectable green smoothie making.

  • The best part of every day is now the part where I slice up some delicious fruits and add in lots of greens. I feel so good these days.

  • Thank you so much for this video, My husband and I are are trying to eat better so we decided to make healthy smoothies. My first one came out like grain just as you decribed. Your video helped us so much. when we followed your directions it came out perfect!

  • great vide. very informative

  • I bought a Vita-Mix blender after reading a few books about green smoothies. I only used it a few times because I made my green smoothies and they kept turning out the way you described during the first half of the video. Thank you so much for explaining what I was doing wrong because I had no idea! I am so excited to try and make them the right way! Thank you!

  • Hi! I really need your help. I REALLY NEED to change my life and start drinking healthy smoothies but I do not have money to even spend on a Kitchenaid blender (100 $), so please tell me if a regular shop blender would make a nice smoothie out of carrots and greens and what do I check to choose a good blender that I can use daily? Watts? Please help me! Thanks!

  • @iuliaca1 You can do it with a cheap blender, just chop everything smaller. Start with a cup or two of water in the blender, then gradually add your greens on medium speed until they are blended in, then increase the speed until it is as smooth as you can get it. Then gradually add in the chunks of fruit and more water.

  • Word of warning --if you add whey protein to your green smoothie it comes out looking like baby poop. I think I need to review this video more often!

  • So instead of lots of spinach use veggies. Is that the bottom line here?

  • @Mark1Mach2 If you read Victoria's first book on green smoothies, you will find that vegetables do not combine well with fruits.

  • Very helpful video. Thanks.

  • Valya is well spoken and easy to understand. She provides good information

as well as good recipe. She's cute too!

  • I loved the valuable information in this video. The music in the background was very very distracting and made me struggle to pay attention to the instructions. She did a good job of instruction of how and why to make a good green smoothie.

  • The seeds are insoluble fiber, every fruit is going to be mixed. It is the creamy fruits that will make the smoothie smooth.

  • I'm a bit confused; I thought seeds in strawberries were insoluble fiber? I love your videos; thanks for the great tips Valya! :))

  • I looked up fruits high in soluble fiber and of the dozen fruits listed, apple contained the most. Please respond Valya, why did the first one not work as far as foam etc since it used an apple.

Do you need several kinds of fruit, more fruit or what to not make the apple one go wrong and why did it.

Also if you use non soluble fruits and one soluble one, that will be enough or not?

thanks as this is a problem I often encounter.

  • @wowbenji she added way to much water to the first one and the 2nd she added no water

  • @aRawLifestyle hmm I didn't notice that before..so she basically made a thick juice. I find without water this stuff often does not blend right or is thick and yucky.

It seemed in her mom's book green smoothie revolution most of the recipes have about 2 cups of water in them. Well I will try adding greens and fruits with little to no water in my vitamix and see what happens.

thanks for the reply and observation:)

  • @wowbenji I usually add just a little bit of water but that first one she added way to much and while she was pouring I was like nooooo that's too much water. Bc apples and spinach does make a good smoothie. But I do understand the point she was trying to make..

  • @aRawLifestyle thanks for the info I will try that

  • I was introduced to the green smoothies book a few years ago. I wish I had read this tip!!! Maybe I overlooked it. I will now be making green smoothies a lot more often! Thank you Valya!

  • I went to your familys presentation about green smoothies in Houston in 2009 and ever since I had been wondering how to get rid of the foam.

  • that is a great way to make a nice tasting and looking smoothie.

  • One of my favorite green smoothies is with a handful of greens, 2 bananas, a 10 oz. bag of frozen mangoes, and half an avocado. Simple, and delicious!

  • Way to go on making this video. I make my green smoothies the same as yours. I think you did an excellent job at keeping it interesting and informative. Thanks! Raw Chef Dosa

  • Thank you so much for making this video! I was skeptical about making a green smoothie because I was worried about the taste but you sold me on it!! Going to attempt my first one tomorrow! Thanks again!

  • green smoothie

  • I started my green smoothie journey a month and a half ago and can't believe how much better I feel not to mention the 15 lbs. I've lost was just a bonus. Love your videos!

  • wow thanks i guess

  • very nice!

  • awesome presentation!

  • Looks Great ! What kind of blender is that? Thanks

  • Very good info on fiber. Excellent video!

    Thanks for posting.

  • Very good info! Thank you. It would be 100% perfect if not from the plastic water bottle used. That was a turn off. Quality control of water used in our food intake is essential. There are good documentaries on the web, Netflix etc about water quality control. Best documentary is actually from Russia introducing a concept of water as the global consciousness ‘s memory storage.

  • Makes sense. Green Smoothies shouldn't be painful to drink just because they're healthy and this is a good way to make them taste good. Thanks.

  • Good points, may I ask what brand of blender that is?

  • @pinetree909 I think it's a Power Mill
