Amazing.I was just checking Emil Gilels on youtube. He had I very fine tone and
is absolutely the master in many modern recordings. These recordings are still after 30 years the best you can find. And this is like Gilels the highest level.
Très sensible!!! Nuances extraordinaires et rythmes convainquants! Bravo!
2ème m. Jeu très doux, délicieux. Bien inspiré à tout moment! Je n'ai rien entendu d'aussi plaisant à entendre (jusqu'à la fin) de ce bef mouvement. Bravo! Bravo! Bravo! 5 *****
I heard that you and Hilary Hahn toured together. Can you post something from one of your performances? What kind of stuff did you play? I know you get a lot of emails and comments to respond to so if this one slips through it's OK. I know you have a lot of fans to talk to.
valentina is definitly my favourite pianist ! she's so amazing, so talented so ........ such a joy to listen to her music . i can't wait for seeing her in concert in paris ! hm... actually i don't even know if one day she'll do a concert here but even if she only does one in london i'll definitly pay for the travel !
lol 1fattyfatman actually i don't even know if she's human. musically definitly yes. technically i doubt of it . ^^ she's awesome. look at those hands especially at the very begining you can see that she can reach 2 notes after the octave without any problem ! for a woman it's rare.
Just a very important question: you play an incredible amount of concerts with very challenging works - every pianist is wondering, if you sometimes have troubles with your hands? Pain, fatigue, tendonitis, etc?
Thank you very much if you'll find a minute to answer to this question.
I asked Valentina about this when I interviewed her in London, but I didn't include her answer to this in my youtube-video. She told me that her technique of playing has never caused her 'Schwarzeneggerian' hands any trouble of the kind you are mentioning. I think this also indicates once more that her playing technique is perfect.
btw: how strong technique, instinct and 'muscle memory' underpin Valentina's musicality and wonderful playing is perfectly illustrated in this clip. Watch how Valentina starts to look around her from 1:26 to 1:35 approx., [Valentina, what were you looking at? :)] It doesn't affect her magnificent playing at all... That's totally amazing! :)
Very fluid and graceful,...expressive and aggressive when necessary.....with much appreciation and admiration from hollywood, california.

Hi Valentina,
Do you have an HD version like the other Hammerklavier parts?
Also, I'm sure that on behalf of all your fans I can say thank you for continuing to post new (excellent) videos!

This is in HD
ValentinaLisitsa 2 years ago 2
And it looks great in HD.
A really tough piece to play,I bet.
I still have a tough time associating this with Beethoven...but recognise him near the end of this clip.
MusicMan20061210 2 years ago
As Valentina said, this is in HD, but we have to wait a little more for the HD version to be available. It usually takes less than an hour. :-)
And I second what you say: Thank you so much Valentina for sharing these amazing videos with us! I enjoy every second of them.
