Harmless track. Don't see much point in making an 80s version of an 80's track tho. They pretty much just changed a couple synths and the bpm. Even the claps are in the original.

the reason so many people like the "80s" sound of this is because all the sounds they use are the exact samples from the 1985 original from Clio. this is not a cover. this is some desperate wannabes ripping off an original creation to seem nostalgic.

@nmh881 you are 100% wrong! Of course this is a cover of the original by Clio but it does not sample the original it is all new synths and sounds, it's a cover! Do your research or at least listen closer before making silly false claims. And Electric Youth has great original songs of their own like 'Right Back to You' and 'Fade Away' not to mention their hit with College from the Drive film, so clearly they have no trouble making nostalgic music of their own, don't be foolish lol.

@jaime272727 yes the bass is new and they added some guitar. the synth keys are however the original pushed from their original stereo phasing format into a mono crammed sound. i took some time and listened to the songs you linked and yes they do have a nostalgic feel to their originals. i stand corrected. im just tired of all the sampling of older songs passed off as an artist's "original" song. neon indian anyone???

@nmh881 I appreciate your open mind to listen to their other stuff but you are still 100% wrong about the synths. I agree they sound similar to the original but I can assure it's all new reproduced synths not samples. The main synth sound they even use in another song "Fade Away"! and some of the other synth stuff is not even analogue it's VSTs.
