Season 5, titled "Sick and Tired". It was a two part episode where Dorothy is sick but no doctor can figure out what is wrong with her. I think this is one of Blanche's best scenes...almost like Vivian (Maude) revisited, LOL.

Not only is this scene written flawlessly but for Rue to take the words written in the script and CREATE this delirium (which I totally relate to as an insomniac) and make it her own in a way only she could do...THAT FOLKS IS GENUIS! Every line has sass and flair. As always, Bea's facial expressions only add to the creatvity...What a sitcom should be but most often isn't.

I've seen every episode at least 50 plus times. The chemistry that these ladies shared and the combined talents of each, individually created a program that was not only hysterically funny but also addressed important social issues way before other sitcoms dared to try. Pill addicted Rose & treatment, Blanche and self esteem, Dorothy & her aging Mother Sophia and the problems of an aging parent not to mention just living thru menopause! Every week we laughed cried and learned thru them. Classic!
