It sounds as though Boyle (among others) exploited the kids during the filming, and afterwards. The all-too-high-profile photographs of Boyle taking the kids to the beach, and shopping, in California (pre-Academy Awards), should tell all that we need to know about the exploitative entertainment business.
When the father of one of stars is being accused of attempting to sell his daughter, and the father of another is left homeless, why aren't more people asking, "Whither the millions, Boyle?"
