  • helped me out alot! thank you!

  • Thanks!

  • I just use the program Audacity to open the mp4 file and then export it as an mp3. Audacity is free to download online. I find the quality to be pretty decent.

  • waste of time

  • Gaaa! i cant get that smudge off the screen!! (0:50 to forever)

  • thank you! this was pissing me off

  • I already knew how to do this, but you're vid made it much more easy. as for MobuisX his way is very easy too maybe easier, but you shouldn't trash talk and demean someone else's idea. he made this video to help others not get popularity, and he's definatly right about protected files.

  • @pole52

    Thank you for that. lol

  • Anyone do this because xbox doesnt have mp4 combatibility?

  • @tonkatheturtle xbox is mp4 compatible

  • Unfortunately the quality will drop this way.

You're taking a compressed format mp4 and in a round about way re-compressing to mp3.

  • Thank you!

  • hey hey! Have you ever tried bee4biz (search on google)? It is a url locker that pays. Its a lot better than other sites and they pay on time. Check them out if you want to make good money shortening and sharing links online

  • Thank you for that, I am using this tech, because when I make my "own" music and put it on a CD using iTunes it changed the format on me, then when I wanted to post my music on YT it would not because it no longer was an Mp3.

So this works for me, and for the sound quality to change issue, it did not change at all for me.

    So TY again dude.

  • Thanks so freaking much you've saved my school project!

  • Thank you so much!

  • Nice one ! great video ! very helpful !

  • the music makes is annoying.

  • Dude great you are doing this and it is very helpful but please take the music out as it is soooooo annoying!

  • thanks this helped

  • thank you so much

  • i just got a question, i want to know, how to put my downloaded songs into iTunes so i can put my fucking songs to my fucking iPhone

  • @ZxRDRxZ

Thanks so much xD. That 1/4 cent really adds up. Thanks again.

  • @MrPacMan36 dose it work with videos

  • how do you do it the other way around i want to convert mp3 to mp4

  • @MyToonCodes

Change the import settings in Edit>Preferences.

  • don't forget everyone, the way I explained is the best and easiest way, itunes knows that mp3 are very important so they created a program just for that, to convert it to mp3 to the best of their ability so you get what you paid for--- mp3 file with best quality possible, not like many other programs not specifically designed to convert mp4 to mp3 while keeping the same quality, if you want to do that, do that at your own risk, you will probably end up with lower audio quality mp3, good luck.

  • Thank you, MobiusX!! When this kid started talking about burning to a CD, I was very disappointed and thought there had to be an easier way. Your way took all of 5 seconds with no wasted CD. I have avoided being a dumbass.

  • Comment removed

  • "burn to cd" what a retard, that shit lowers audio quality, only a dumbass would do it this way, all you have to do is click edit, preferences, under general click import settings, change top to mp3 encoder, change bottom to higher quality 192kbps, on itunes find the song and right click on it, make a mp3 version of it, make sure its in the itunes folder, or it will say cannot find file, that means you moved the mp3 songs, so put it back to my music, itunes music, this guy is a dumbass

  • @MobiusX

Hmm... 192kbps in mp3? The original download is 256kbps aac. You lowered the quality over half already that way. And what about locked music? Some old iTunes downloads are actually locked and can't be converted by iTunes converter. But if you're helping someone else I guess that's fine.

  • @MrPacMan36 you can use itunes unlock the .m4p files. first, you have to burn them to an audio cd. then open the cd you just burned, and the files will be in .cda format. from there you can convert those .cda files to .mp3 or .m4a - quality dont matter here b/c they came from itunes which has shit quality bitrates to begin with. no you cant make it any better and yes you can make it worse, so dont waste your time or HDD space & set your import settings the same as the source

  • @MrPacMan36 Actually, he almost got it right. Where he says change it to 192kbps you can select 'Custom' and bump it up to 320kbps. I just used this method to convert some songs I bought offa iTunes that didn't give me a convert option.

  • You can change it to higher quality than 192, that was just a suggestion. It wasn't helping "someone" else it was helping EVERYONE

  • @MobiusX Thank you! Way easier and less wasteful than the video. :)

  • @MobiusX Thanks so much for the explanation on how to do this! I purchased a bunch of songs for my mp3 players not realizing they would be in mp4 format! So easy! Thanks a lot!

  • @MobiusX he's being nice by sharing what he knows...no need to criticize him...just offer your knowledge and it will not make you sound like a complete jerk...

  • @MobiusX

WOW thanks man it only takes like 30 seconds (for me anyway) i love you <3

  • your right

  • @MobiusX Thanks so much for posting this! I used your method to put music onto my powerpoint from ITunes, and it's so much easier!

  • @MobiusX

what do u do after u right click the song and change it to mp3?

like how do i get it off itunes?

  • @MobiusX what do u do after u change to mp3 version? like how can i get it off itunes?

  • @MobiusX

this indeed works and is easy peasy. you should make a youtube vid of it. it totally helped me, nice one

  • @MobiusX The human ear cannot tell the difference with anything over 128kbps anyway.

  • @MobiusX Would not convert Mp4 to Mp3 because iTunes says the songs are protected. What now? =\

  • stop doing lossy to lossy transcodes, you idiots.

  • Awesome! I've been searching for.ever. and this worked the first time.

  • Does this acctually work ?

  • how do you do that thing where you get the picture on the screen

  • itunes has become such a hassle I'm never buying anything from the online store ever again

  • Is the sound quality lowered in any way?

  • @mubikey0

It is, but it is not noticeable at all. Pretty much for anyone...

Anytime you convert a song to another format, it loses it's original quality, but that does not mean it won't sound good.

  • THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!

  • just use the SUPER sofware converter

  • THNK YOU SOOO mUCH great Video 5 Stars Brother Its helped me soo much

  • now that! 90% of the pop might know

  • @MrPacMan36

dude i have so many songs, it would cost me fucking weeks to do that -.-
