God, this is THE worst airport in the civilized world!! Absolutely dreadful selection of restaurants, hideous architecture, advertising everywhere you look. Very dirty public washrooms. Crazy expensive parking. What a world of difference San Francisco and Vancouver airports are.!!

What's wrong with SkyBus? It's fares are cheap, It runs Express to the City and it runs every 10 minutes. I'm sure after being on a flight for several hours the last thing I would want would be to get on a Train that would have lots of stops on the way. I don't think a train service would take you to your Hotel either. Sure a Smart Bus will come into the Airport soon. That will not get you to the City, only to other forms of transport. SkyBus works out just fine. Great Buses as well.

When a train line is built to the airport, it won't stop at any other stations on the way, it will run express from inside the airport it self directly to Melbourne, people will get there 15 minutes faster, because the train can go 140 all the way, i am a director of some projects at the Melbourne, even on designing 2 more runway and designing T3 & T4!

There is a theory that Melbourne Airport had blocked any attempts to see t he trams go further then the West Field shopping cenre at Airport West.They would not make nay money from trams like they so with ,the sky bus , taxis ,the fee they charge when you hire a car from the airport and not forgeting parking your car there.....Enjoy the money hungry Airport..........

You can crap on about your new terminal What about the Traffic jams Melbourne Airport. As the population grows what about making the Roads better.Get Rid of All them Taxi's who Block Melrose dr to line up at Tiger and put in a Rail Line or a Mono'rail in Place .

Fix the Traffic first then crap on about your NEW terminal.

Melbourne's Airport is better than any other in Australia, maybe you should look at sydney's airport with the taxis, it took me 40 minutes just to wait in line for a taxi, and the lanes for Melbourne Airport are wider then sydney's one! anyway, Melbourne has a plan called Melbourne Airport 2030, by with the new 5 years, Melbourne's airport will be 65% bigger, that's because Melbourne has a lot more room & space where the airport is, so they can extended it!
