Have you ever seen Terminator Salvation? There was that guy that was a robot but he looked human and felt human. He thought he met all of the criteria of being human, but he really wasn't. jk I haven't had anybody tell me I was never a true Christian but I've known people who have. Christians are so pompous.
Your epiphany was nothing personal. You are simply spewing out New Age programming. That is all you are doing. You are saying nothing new or giving no new revelation. It's the same rhetoric from all you cursed decievers of the Anti Christ. Prepare for Satan and his Angels you workers of iniquity saith the Almighty God of Israel.
There is indeed such a thing as a talking snake. You make a good example. Don't let New Agers sway you with smooth talk from the faith you know to be true for fear of being labeled, intolerant, judgmental, or arrogant. They are all those things themselves against Christ. The Jesuits and Catholics used the same arguments against True Christians who would not conform and they slaughered a good many of them. It's the same old Babylonian deception of Satan that will continue until Jesus returns.
@venkyhyundai dude, good or bad isn't real. It's a thought process, good and evil is what we make of it. For example, do you think slaughtering millions of jews is evil? You most likely would think yes, but Hitler thought no... Most of us think stealing is bad because we go to jail for it, our decisions are influenced by consequences, which applies to religion too, if we do something bad according to the religion, you go to hell, if you stay faithful, you go to heavan, get it?
Ok, good philosophy, ....lets put to practical test. so suppose there is a girl on a trip to some third world country (with no process of law) and she gets very drunk. Now, I could take advantage of her becoz I would never get caught ...... so what shud I as an athiest do in such a scenario ? do her or leave her ?.....
@venkyhyundai that's for you to decide, do you think it's wrong or right based on your own outlook on life? Someone who is well influenced in a stable family and nourishing environment while being brought up as a child would probably not "do" her because of what he/she learned is what should be right and wrong based on the learning environment, when athiests do something nice, it comes from the bottom of his/her heart, not from following some rules to try and get into a heavan :)
@venkyhyundai Okay, if I had to pick i would not do her based on what I think is morally correct, there are still cosequences in the real world like STD's you know, and even if there were no STD's I would still just leave her. Keep in mind though this is my opinion, not all athiest think specifically like me, if you ask me my reply before this was more accurate.
@venkyhyundai The things that have influenced me over my life, such as my learning enviornment in school, my parents, my siblings, my friends. Not god, nor the bible.
It was givin that name because the Higgs Boson particle is the thing that causes mass to stick together at the micro level. It is what we mortals named the invisible force that the creator uses to holds quarks and electrons together. Genesis 1 In the beginning, God created heaven and earth. the earth was without form and void. I no it's not politicaly correct but the more we learn the more odds are stacked against chance.
Everything we learn is taught to us by someone else ( a fallible human ) . Everything is given a name and a theroy, some are even pursuaded to sway the masses down a wide path for a agend. As for me, I am a true follower of our creator, and I question everything. Ok with no negativity or arrogance intended. There is a science that does go along with creation :true science. Resently at CERN hadron collider they are proving the Higgs bosson theroy, aka god's partical? Every knee will BOW!
@behumbletommy Well, nuclear strong force keeps molecules together, if you picked up a physics book, you would know the 4 fundamental forces - electromagnetism, strong force, weak force, and gravity. When all the black holes in the universe sucked up everything (including time) in the big crunch, the matter instantly expanded afterward (the big bang). Congrats, your a little bit smarter, well, thats if you understood what I just said.
@behumbletommy I'm sorry, you said molecules, atoms are held together by nuclear strong force, molecules are held together by covalent or ionic bonds a.k.a atheist black magic. Any good physics book will tell you how they work, hell even wikipedia will tell you.
@snipesnrifles "atoms are held together by nuclear strong force" you're wrong atoms are held by the ectromagnetic force, like molecules, however nucleons in the nucleus are held by strong nuclear force
@Narftaxaku200 no, that wouldn't work, protons and nuetrons don't bind together, it's the strong force that keeps it together, if it were electromagnetism that held together an atom, the nucleus would consist of protons and electrons.
@snipesnrifles that's what I said ffs! atoms link each other with electromagnetism and nucleons in the nucleus of an atom link each other with strong nuclear force. You deformed what I said too much! I said atomS are linked by electromagnetism not atom!
@Yah023weh Why should we be loving, kind, joyful etc? Because we're fucking human beings, that's why. We have one life and we gotta make the best of it.
You are going way too far in depth here. You are thinking, you can't debate religious people with rational thought. In this case, simply use their own book against them.
According to their book, Peter(who they all claim was a disciple and follower of Christ) rejected him 3 times. When asked, "aren't you a disciple of his?" he flat out said, "no." So by that there are two options
A)Peter was never a "true" Christian
B) This "true" christian stuff is more man made mumbo jumbo.
Once you know the truth , it is impossible not to believe , But Of course the truth is inversely related Christianity. They will listen out of curiosity , but you'll never hear the truth back. (Usually the tale just gets taller) Pimpin aint easy.
@Razgriz0139 Like Peter did? Saying someone was "never a true Christian" because they followed, then stopped following is a man made reasoning to try and justify why a person has left the Christian church. Peter denied Christ 3 times according to the Bible, then went back to following. So by that logic
A) Peter was never a true Christian(which no Christian would agree with) or
B) This whole "true Christian" is just a falsehood created by men to control more people.
You have a humble spirit. I more Christianity in you than in most religious folks but I say that to say this. A true Christian is only the one who follows the teachings of Christ. Paul has his followers and Peter has his. But John 13:34-35 explains what a true Christian is. Christ teachings are explained in the 4 gospels that are in the bible. Everything he taught is self explanatory. Check it out for yourself. I question many leaders and religious folks with his teachings.
COKE IS FUCKING BETTER!!!!!! IT'S THE TRUE SOFT DRINK!!! ALL PEPSI LOVERS WILL BE BURNED FOR ETERNITY ONCE THEY LOSE THEIR ORGANIC COMPONENTS!!!!! REPENT!!!!! (sarcasm)
The true test of a believer is clearly outlined within the Bible in Mark 16:17-18 (NIV)
17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”
@mcorrothers1 Oh c'mon he made this easy to understand. "True" Christians don't exist because we all have free will. Anyone can stop believing in Christianity for any reason. Christians convert to other religions for example all the time. Even the strongest in the most powerful positions. Christians who have spent 50 years as a Christian have converted or denounced all belief. Until the last 50 years Baptists believed all other Christians were going to hell, that "true" = Baptist.
There is no law to prove one a Christion. There is no free will. If any man have not the Spirit of God he is none of is ( God's ) To think you can presume a will upon God filled with expectations of ego and corruption is not possible. Some believe God cannot reject but He can. Because the heart is deceitful and corrupt and desperately wicked. God has rejected you cannot do anything about it. We don;t come to God with some of our own power we are powerless before Him
There is no such thing as an "ex-Christian" in a salvific sense according to the bible. Those who left the faith were never in the faith, meaning they were never saved. This is biblical. 1 John 2:19. There are pleny golf people who have gone/go through the "motions" and have an appearance of being Christian, however the bible is clear that those who left, did so because they were never saved.
@Pursuitofwisdom Peter was never in faith then as he rejected Jesus 3 times to save his own life. When asked "aren't you a disciple of his?" Peter flat out said ,"no" Therefore he is no longer a follower, therefore was never a believer.
Your book defies your own book. Please look at your book logically and realize in order to follow this stuff you actually have to believe in. Once you come to that conclusion, I hope you'll realize it's impossible to believe.
great video and a good analysis of this issue which is their much discussion. Theirs is a tension in the bible of the sovereign nature of God choosing his followers and them choosing him. The former we cannot know but is stand to encourage Christians. Bible never really says anything about free will but only really of responsibly for choice. Too often things a read into the bible that are not actually their. the best explanation is the parable of the sower. yes their are 'former Christians'
I disagree with your methods. Pointing out the hypocrisy of their teachings is playing by their rules. I refuse to reason that way. It's not going to matter against someone who's rules are fucked up to begin with. Someone outside your example that has no need to recognize respect, tolerance or apostasy. But religion changes on the far coattails of science in a way to make it more palatable in a modern 1st world where tolerance is required and heretical stoning is considered non-literal.
You are right there is no reason to be a dick. I know some people are pompous on purpose but sometimes it might be an accident. Also there is a talking snake in the bible and is a perfect example of personification.
It is apparent in the sower of the seeds parable that one who is well grounded or takes root would not depart from the faith because His heart is "fertile" in His understanding....Ootherwise he is likened to those seeds who fell elsewhere.
I see no fallacy in believing that most ex-Christians actually never were Christians in the first place. Most have been brought up in Christian homes without knowing why they believed, for then to go to high school/college and somewhere along the line lose their belief. No relationship before or after the conversion. I am not out to "win" this argument, I am just happy to tell you that there are answers to your objections. :) God bless you!
@LarsTheHonest hmm, it seems to me that every christian sect sees other christians as not 'true christians'. a lot of energy is burned each day by each sect claiming they 'truly' understand the bible and all other christians are confused and lost. you might even say that this is what christians are best at: proving that their version of christianity is the correct version. are you a 'true christian'? if so, why do you believe that?
@timwhite2005 I believe I am saved, yeah. And I don't think a few differences in theology seperates a true Christian from a false one. Besides, Im not the one to judge, I'll leave that up to the one who created us.
Why do I believe I am saved? Because I believe in Jesus Christ and repent my sin. That is the important point; to believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins.
@LarsTheHonest thanks for your reply and your honesty! in your initial post you said: "I see no fallacy in believing that most ex-Christians actually never were Christians" of course you can believe anything you want, but the stories of ex-christians are more complex that you portray. I think it's possible that you may fear that one day you might become an ex-christian yourself, and that is why you trivialize the experiences of others. if it can happen to them, it can happen to you too - right?
@LarsTheHonest Saved? Saved from what? A burning fire and eternal torture? I got news for you. If you’re worshiping a God that would create such a place, you’re definitely going to be double-crossed by this deity and will most likely be one of the first shoved through the gates of Hell! A creator of Hell is evil by definition. So, what makes you think he won’t toss you in that lake of fire just for fun, no matter who you claim to worship? Good luck with your faulty gullible logic there, kiddo!
And I do not believe that I am higher or better than you. We are both sinful creatures in need of salvation. God did choose me, but he chose you too. You just have to accept him.
Jesus said "Judge not, lest you be judged". In other words, he was saying that if you judge someone, you will be judged the same way. Jesus didnt tell us not to ever judge anyone for any reason whatsoever, but to be careful, and not hypocritical.
When you are in a relationship with God, you are a true Christian. Very few would consciously walk out of that relationship. That is not to say you are unable to do so, you can, but that would be the one unforgivable sin, to sin against the Holy Spirit. If you once were a Christian, and then consciously chose satan (because you would still believe in God and satan if you ever were a true Christian), you can not be forgiven.
There is no way to know for sure that a person is a Christian. Believing in God doesn't necessarily equal being a "true" Christian. You need to be in a relationship with the God that you believe in, to be a Christian. It makes no sense to suddenly say "I dont believe in you" after being in a relationship with someone for years. Christianity is not like Islam. Muslims believe in God, but Christians live in a relationship with him. That is the crucial difference.
@gogolplex74 People call themselves a former atheist when they were in a layover point in their lives, just waiting for a belief system to come along. They were never actively atheist but passively nontheist.
You are speaking for all Christians and that is not how all Christians think. Only God knows your heart. Only God knows someones motives. Just because someone calls out Lord! Lord! does not make a Christian. And there was a talking snake in the Garden of Eden. It talked because satan had entered the snake. If you don't believe that can happen you need to sit with someone who is possed by satan. This is the real world and I pray you find the truth in the real Jesus Christ because He loves you.
Atheism- the belief that there was nothing & nothing happened to nothing & then nothing magically exploded for no reason creating everything & then a bunch of everything magically rearranged itself for no reason which then turned into dinosaurs.
makes perfect sense...There is no god but allah, and muhamed is his last prophet.
Without the truth, there can be no real morality, justice, equality, success, freedom, love, security, peace, spirituality or even survival. Search "Truth Contest" in Google and click the 1st result, then open The Present and read what it says to learn the truth of life.
@FightingAtheist I'm proud to say that I was never a true christian. I was raised catholic but never truly bought into it. They could never quite sell me on their line of bullshit.
When it says stuff like "youre unable to stop believing" it doesnt mean God will click his fingers and stop your free will, its just describing truth. Its like saying once you learn how to read you cant unlearn it and become illiterate again. Unless you mistakenly thought you could read or lie.
@fnatic9 that is the dumbest logic ever. its more like how people once believed the earth was flat. with proof, people now know for a fact that the earth is round. same with former christains and muslims. it just means you have enough proof to confirm that religion is a lie. its nowhere near comparable to reading.
I believe they say that as a defense mechanism. It's uncomforting that their beliefs can be dismissed so they've 'reasoned' that the atheist never was a 'true' xtian. It's all about ego.
Wow. All those who said you were never a true christian seem like hypocrites. Also, who in their right mind would think that "once you have accepted Jesus as your savior, you are UNABLE to stop believing"? That's ridiculous; that's not biblical, they're obviously wrong. I must say though, it sounds like part of the reason your not a believer anymore is because of the stupidity of people like that. That seems like a terrible shame to me.
@TheJoaxD The bible tell u to kill people that work on sundays. It says so in the freaking book. And ppl who do not follow God. The Bible is a sick thing. The tenets commandments is ok. But those are almost only human morals that go against the bible. Incest is wrong. Therefore, Adam and Eve, who had children, that had children that had children, with whom? Them selfs? = Humanity. The tenets commandments say a lot of stuff that the bible say is not ok. "Thou shall not kill!" - "Unless...!"
@Norwayflex89 You do realize the OT is the old law that was removed when Jesus died on the cross, right? That's a problem with atheists that you just don't understand God's word, because you're spiritually dead.
@CosmicGrounds God tell you to sell your own daughter as a whore rather then treating stranger guests badly. Now what the fuck is so moral about that? I find that sick. Treat people bad is bad alright, but to sell your own daughter as a whore is just plain sick. Sorry I don't speak the words of true evil. And who the fuck said I was a atheist you judgemental douche. Anyway, I find you more "spiritually dead"
@Norwayflex89 LoL. How clever. I'm not posting how I hate God and having the inability to understand that the OT has little to no effect in the NT, because Jesus died on the cross. So I see you'll continue with jumping from one inconsistent and incompetent thought to another.
@CosmicGrounds Go on ass licking you satanic evil God. Read the bible, and don't try and tell me otherwise. He does so much evil, and tell you it is ok. If he was to be around he is a big hypocrite prick who do not deserve respect from us. Thou shall not kill! Unless*tons of stuff*. Incest is wrong! - Adam and Eve had children that had children...! Yuck. Do to others what you would like them to do to you! No thank you, I do good because I want to be good. Don't need it in return. Be gone redneck
@Norwayflex89 Once again you don't cease to humor me with your both your hatred of God and your inconsistent babble. How about you re-read the bible and accept Jesus into your heart instead of being bitter. If not, refrain from humiliating yourself by talking to me.
@Norwayflex89 I see you can't follow directions. You tell me no thanks concerning the bible, but then you're asking me about the actions of God you deem are cruel. Run along, Norway, go cry a river of your misotheism elsewhere.
@CosmicGrounds The day I'll cry for something as stupid as that is the day I'm just as mad/brainwashed/silly/Haven't really thought about stuff/naive/easy convinced/ignoring facts and evidence as long as they don't ruin your hopes/really young/redneck like you( not saying you are all of em. But one of em, thats for sure). Have a great life. Abra kadabra! * Poof ! *
@CosmicGrounds Oh yeah and here is one of tons and tons of stuff science got to offer - watch?v=1iMmvu9eMrg - not matter of much you hate/dislike this random dude(me) at the internetz. You should watch some stuff like this. Relax. Not propaganda or anything. Just science. Again, enjoy your life buddy! Bye
Well, to be a true Christian, follow the Bible 100 % and treat the book as a holy book and the word of God put to script. Or you can be a Burger King Christian. Christianity made to order. Pick and choose the condiments that make you happy and go enjoy yourself.
The concept of 'True Christian' is bogus because the bible is self-contradictory of how a Christian should behave. One is free to follow Jesus teachings, most of them are useful. But one has to be aware that most of his teachings directly violate the law from the OT, and some of his statements can be considered immoral by current standards, like condemning unbelief with (eternal) torture.
If a person follows the bible 100% he is a true christian. But, that means he have to kill people that work on sundays, start killing atheists and such. So. Glad there are only pick and choose from the holy book believers these days. Exept Anders Breivik, and some muslim(whatever religion) extremeists. You name it.
@TheSeanoftheBread there's a video that speaks about this very well, it wont let me send you the link but you can just type in True Christian vs False Believer.....its by kingdomwarriorscom. =]
by this video, i can tell you that you were never a genuine follower of Jesus.
yes...you can tell if people are christians or not. true christians can stop following Jesus.....they can fall away from their faith in him. God does give everyone freewill.....he's not goin to force anyone to obey him and his word.
Jesus never said we couldn't judge, he was saying dont be a hypocrite when judging others, first cast yur sin away from you(repent) and then you will be able to help you brother repent.
god is a selfish, selfcentered, self contradictory, epic troll. if god creates man, then he creates gays and lesbians and transexuals. yet he dislikes these people and casts them into hell, way to be a troll, god. he says that if you do not believe in him then you will be cast into hell. this is selfish and self contradictory because he gives no solid proof that he even exists yet we are supposed to blindly believe that there is a god? come on, really?
You're all wrong. First of all God isn't selfish because the point that he made man is because he wanted to share his love. He never created gays, lesbians and transexuals because it was Adam and Eve he created in the beggining. Then Satan came into the picture and corrupted the whole world. This world was supposed to be perfect. Until Satan came.
Because he really didn't want to destroy Satan. He wanted Satan to suffer pain in Hell forever. Hell was never intended for us humans. It was intended for the fallen angels.
NOBODY deserves to suffer forever. That's the point why Jesus Christ came to die for us all. He already paid the price, all you do is you gotta come to Him and ask for forgiveness.
@jairitcril111 Why does your god have to create such a convoluted loophole? Why can't he just forgive everybody, instead of demanding people accept a fairy tale about a jewish carpenter who died and came back three days later?
Romans 6:3 "For the wages of sin is death, but the GIFT of God is eternal life."
It's no fairy tale, He CAN forgive everybody, it's just that when he forgives he doesn't want that person he forgave to go back on sinning. Yes, we Christians do admit that we also sin even after we asked for God's forgiveness. It's because we're humans also. The reason "the jewish carpenter" died is because he loved us and saw us in our sin, and we all know where sins take you.
@jairitcril111 If nobody deserves to suffer forever, then why do we have to accept jesus before we can prevent that? If no one deserves to suffer forever, then why don't we just automatically go to heaven? Also, true christians don't exist. No one is following all the commandments that god/jesus gave. Heck, I doubt most 'true christians' don't even follow half of them.
That's why Jesus came to earth! Because nobody deserves to suffer! The only way he can forgive people is when people come to him and ask forgiveness and repent of their sins! Do you think the one God, who hates sin will allow someone who practices sin into His Kingdom? NO! Common sense bro ? And YES. Not all Christians follow the commandments that God gave. It's because we're also humans! We don't remember everything, that's the purpose of the Holy Spirit, to remind us of what we do
@jairitcril111 Bullshit. If god really wanted to forgive, he could have just done so. He shouldn't have needed to send himself in human form down to earth, to sacrifice himself, to himself. Which is a very stupid way to allow forgiveness anyway. And you're wrong. Even people that do sin, even the worst sins, get to go to heaven, as long as they're forgiven and accept jesus. So, a mass murderer/rapist that is forgiven goes to heaven. But little 10 year old atheist timmy doesn't.
When a child gets the ability to choose between God and Satan, then that decision determines whether he'll go to Heaven or not. Maybe you should ask someone who can answer all your questions. Because if you know how old I was, you'd be surprised
@jairitcril111 And you saying that that's what the holy spirit is for, is just your excuse to not have to listen to all the commandments. Remembering has nothing to do with it. As, you know, it's written right there in your book. Read it cover to cover, and you'll know what you should or shouldn't do, won't you?
Funny thing is though, that reading the bible cover to cover has proven to also be the most effective way to 'convert' Christians to at least agnosticism.
Remembering has everything to do with it. How did you think Jesus fought Satan in the wilderness? He didn't have a Bible when he was tempted, he remembered the Scripture. If I try to convert someone, I wouldn't have a piece of paper where everything I need would be listed. I'd have to review what I'm supposed to do and ask the Holy Spirit for guidance. And yes I do have to read the Scripture, and if possible I'd read it cover to cover. I just have to pattern my life after Jesus.
@jairitcril111 Heh, no you wouldn't bring a bible when trying to convert someone. Or they could read all the contradictions, bullshit, atrocities, how unfair and malicious god is, and all that crap in it. Instead, you just want to tell people the scriptures that aid your cause, and leave the things that might deter them (which is more than what might convert them) out of your conversion attempt.
@jairitcril111 Jesus didn't need the bible. He was the son of god. Heck, he technically WAS god. You're not Jesus. You're 'just a human'. You're infallible. That's why the book exists. So you have something that teaches you what you need to know. But you choose to ignore a lot of the rules in there, because quite frankly they'd get you the death penalty in some cases, or jail time in others. Heck, even just follow Jesus' teachings. They aren't too bad. But you won't do that either.
I really appreciate you for being brutally honest with me. You've actually showed me my blind spot, you we're correct, I was ignoring the Bible and what was in it.
"Heck, even just follow Jesus' teachings. They aren't too bad." I didn't get that quite a bit :/ Anyways thanks again for being honest :D
@jairitcril111 What I mean is, that the old and new testament teach different things. Jesus' teachings are the new testament. And those, though sometimes still weird and seemingly severely out-dated, aren't as criminal as many of the old testament commandments.
If like you say you had times when you felt the holy spirit if you were a christian then you would still be a christian, wouldn't you? I mean if you honestly felt the holy spirit then you would be a fool not to continue in your faith, wouldn't you?
@nickybadboy50 Maybe he believes the following; The holy spirit can be a sensory/internal hallucination. Basically the feeling of the holy spirit can be created by the subconscious mind simulating what the feeling of the holy spirit/being embraced by a surrogate heavenly parent would be like. Check these videos out if your interested in further exploration of what I'm talking about; /watch?v=8Eam-z1bwrk and /watch?v=V-q8WZ1Ibso
@jairitcril111 Faith - belief without evidence. From my experience the only thing that would motivate someone to believe something without rational evidence is feeling. Normally numinous feelings evoked by the bible, whilst in church, or one's that occur after repeated exposure to Christian doctrine.
i have no idea what i am. i love jesus with all my heart and follow him as role model in love, forgiveness, non-judgment, pacifism, praying for enemies, sharing what i have, loving others as myself... but i've never been to church, or belong to any denomination, nor ever converted, nor been babtised. i find many christians pro war, racist, unkind, angry, hateful, judgmental, closed minded, ... what am i? is there a church that has same values i have? just love and peace, no hate?
@sherhak You are an atheist who hasn't given up on one last god... Seriously though it sounds like you are more of a Deist than anything... or maybe a true agnostic who uses christian principle as a model that explains the world rather than an actual literal account of events. But in either way you don't appear to be the asshole who claims that everyone unlike you is going to hell so I thank you and welcome further discussions.
@premiertremere thanks for the response. i don't think there's anyone "unlike" me. or believe in hell. "hell" is that state of mind that's so closed and self-important that doesn't let any light in. i believe jesus can be savior to humanity only because of his all inclusive love and tolerance. he could care less about dogma or what church one belongs to. he'd prefer a tolerant atheist to intolerant christians who claim exclusivity and preach hell. a god of fear isn't worth being God.
@sherhak "he'd prefer a tolerant atheist to intolerant christians" While you may be right that Jesus wouldn't advise intolerant christianity, the teachings of Jesus in the Bible clearly deny atheism. A person must "love the Lord their God with all their heart, soul, and mind" to come to Heaven. Also, only through "Jesus" does one come to be with the Father. An atheist fulfills neither of these requirements.
@premiertremere some christians are the polar opposite of christ-like. so, what defines a christian? one who follows teachings of christ, or one who believes in a book or a church or some random interpretation of a book? all one needs to be christ-like can be written in the palm of one hand, why would a church be necessary at all? churches were erected to confuse and control and lead away from christ those who might have stumbled upon truth of christ on their own.
Greetings FA. As a person who converted from atheist/agnostic to Christian I would agree with you 100%. A person who was a believer can certainly fall from the faith or into apostasy. Especially in light of 1 Tim 4:1, Galatians 5:4, John 15:1-6 & Romans 11:11-24.
No, you were never a 'true' Christian, because you broke the fundamental doctrine...THINKING FOR YOURSELF! When you opened your eyes and looked to behold the Truth for yourself, you fell-away from the perfect 'bliss' of Ignorant Faith! Being 'attentive' and 'discerning' what you experience is exactly contrary to the practice of faith-based belief. How ironic is it, that TRUE FAITH REQUIRES KNOWLEDGE OF THE SUBJECT OF FAITH? Faith in that which you misunderstand or guess...CANNOT BE REAL!
@d007ization If you consider a 'true' Christian to be a delusional nut job who transposes an imaginary realm over REALITY because they blindly believe in whatever nonsense their parents brainwashed into them, or whatever 'sounds nice'...then yes, a 'true' Christian would never have doubt, that requires INTELLIGENT & RATIONAL THOUGHT! 'True' believers would never make the mistake of using that precious little gift that separates us from the beasts...right? EXACTLY WHY YOU NUTS ARE SO DANGEROUS!
"You were never truly a Christian or saved to begin with" translated from Christianese to English means " Oh, yes, you did walk with the Lord; it's just that either you didn't do it the right way or you didn't do it our way."
Actually the original definition of sin comes from the Greek term for missing the mark normally used in the context of Archery. If a person missed their target they "Sinned". Dont believe me? Look it up
@acrovader Notable Christians that are cold blooded killers were people in the Spanish Inquisition like Richard the Lion Hearted, Herman Cortes, and not to mention God Himself.
@acrovader Except they didn't kill in the 'name' (Of which there is none) of Atheism. Hitler was a vegetarian, does that mean that all vegetarians are immoral monsters? You can't actually kill for Atheism, because there is nothing in Atheism that warrants the killing of anything. For Christians or Muslims, there is God or Allah. For Atheism there is nothing.
"Actions are more important than beliefs" The statement is self-defeating. Beliefs PROMPT actions. You believe in Atheism right? Then that belief is what MOTIVATES you to even upload this.
I think a "true" christian would take the whole and full bible and doing everything in the bible.. not part of it like most people do. I'm not christian.. I can't be perfect nor "true" people that claim to be christian and exactly how you said in 2:32 on.. But someone says at my work that homosexual people are not going to be 'saved' and he calls them fags and just so rude guy. He thinks he is RIGHT and everyone else is wrong. I find that very ignorant person.
@silvermystic2001 I find that kind of person ignorant too. Because even straight people go to hell too. I've seen many homosexuals struggling in faith, and Christ is their comfort. Many people (especially those that I know) still choose to battle their desires and walk with God. It's not the label that should matter, but faith.
why do i get the sneaking suspicion that these atheists are trying desperately to seek a way to justify their sin ( mostly sexual by the way ) not all but I suspect a great many. like the the atheist call in talk show - the majority of them are homosexuals. I believe that the more you find yourself pulled towards atheism - the more your sexual perversions will increase - the more you will find yourself drawn to the dark side. I wonder how many of you will silently agree.
So what you're saying is "you're all actually just reverse Christians."
*facepalm*
First off, atheists don't believe sin exists, nor do we try to justify anything. We're not as pathetic as Christians like you who need someone to hold your hand to tell you right from wrong. We've got something called reasoning and basic morality, which apparently you assume no one has, you arrogant, condescending, homophobic, bigoted obnoxious prick. People like you are cancer to society.
@DbzmasterdbzNecrossR ha ha - exactly as i thought - sin has deadened your consicience - you can no longer even recognise your own evil. - perhaps sinking in a quagmire of sexual deviancy and proud as hell about it .
I see that instead of taking the time to think rationally about things you've sat there convincing yourself how superior you are that you can cast judgment upon others.
I can recognize evil. Stealing is pretty evil. Murder is evil. Rape is evil. Happy now?
And yes, actually, as a teenage guy I'm pretty happy about getting laid. Nothing on the level of Charlie Sheen, which is what you probably pretend every atheist is.
@DbzmasterdbzNecrossR - like i said - you have created your own of relevant truth - If the girl you slept with called you up and told you she had HIV or HEP B - you would understand why the Bible's call to a higher standard is justified. Many of the teenagers infected last year and the thousands whose live's will be devastated this year might have been averted. also thousands of teenagers getting pregnant will have their innocent babies killed by atheist doctors just for short term pleasure?
@whiteliketar what you have said is a painful reality. Here in the Philippines, heinousness is more justified than Biblical Standards: 800, 000 babies EVERY YEAR are aborted... Filipinos are basically religious,,,, but being religious is different from answering back to God's call to walk with Him.
@gatsbyfaulkner - Thanks for your support - no ones likes to discuss the dark side of atheism but the blood of innocent babies scream for justice from their tiny graves - the atheist professor in the biology class spreading his lies has a burden that is unsurpassed.
@whiteliketar no problem. We must continue to believe in Christ. There had been no point in history where Love, Forgiveness, and Justice converged into one except the time when Jesus redeemed us thru His Cross... This is the reason why I came to Christ. This is the reality that Atheists try to escape. As Peter Hitchens noted, they're (atheists) content as long as their beliefs go unchallenged. It seems they're there to please themselves and be comfortable with it.
@DbzmasterdbzNecrossR Sir, one day, when your senile, that's the time when you can finally think about "getting laid isn't a fun idea after all"... Then you would cram to put on faith as though starting all over again. Why not start now?
Have you ever seen Terminator Salvation? There was that guy that was a robot but he looked human and felt human. He thought he met all of the criteria of being human, but he really wasn't. jk I haven't had anybody tell me I was never a true Christian but I've known people who have. Christians are so pompous.

@FightingAtheist
Can you give a "scientific" or "logical" reason why stealing from someone is bad?
venkyhyundai 2 weeks ago
@venkyhyundai dude, good or bad isn't real. It's a thought process, good and evil is what we make of it. For example, do you think slaughtering millions of jews is evil? You most likely would think yes, but Hitler thought no... Most of us think stealing is bad because we go to jail for it, our decisions are influenced by consequences, which applies to religion too, if we do something bad according to the religion, you go to hell, if you stay faithful, you go to heavan, get it?
MrKitteh101 1 week ago
@MrKitteh101
Ok, good philosophy, ....lets put to practical test. so suppose there is a girl on a trip to some third world country (with no process of law) and she gets very drunk. Now, I could take advantage of her becoz I would never get caught ...... so what shud I as an athiest do in such a scenario ? do her or leave her ?.....
venkyhyundai 1 week ago
@venkyhyundai that's for you to decide, do you think it's wrong or right based on your own outlook on life? Someone who is well influenced in a stable family and nourishing environment while being brought up as a child would probably not "do" her because of what he/she learned is what should be right and wrong based on the learning environment, when athiests do something nice, it comes from the bottom of his/her heart, not from following some rules to try and get into a heavan :)
MrKitteh101 1 week ago
@MrKitteh101
You still havent answered my question....what should an atheist do in this case?
i dont want to know the philosophy of good and bad, I want an atheist's answer to the question.
I will make it easy more easy....your options would be
a) "do her"
b) "don't do her"
c) "I dont know"
and in this case there is NO CONSEQUENCE!!

Explain in full detail what ACTION sparked the big bang off? What action keeps all molecules together.
behumbletommy 4 weeks ago
@behumbletommy Well, nuclear strong force keeps molecules together, if you picked up a physics book, you would know the 4 fundamental forces - electromagnetism, strong force, weak force, and gravity. When all the black holes in the universe sucked up everything (including time) in the big crunch, the matter instantly expanded afterward (the big bang). Congrats, your a little bit smarter, well, thats if you understood what I just said.
snipesnrifles 3 weeks ago
@behumbletommy I'm sorry, you said molecules, atoms are held together by nuclear strong force, molecules are held together by covalent or ionic bonds a.k.a atheist black magic. Any good physics book will tell you how they work, hell even wikipedia will tell you.
snipesnrifles 3 weeks ago
@snipesnrifles "atoms are held together by nuclear strong force" you're wrong atoms are held by the ectromagnetic force, like molecules, however nucleons in the nucleus are held by strong nuclear force
Narftaxaku200 2 weeks ago
@Narftaxaku200 no, that wouldn't work, protons and nuetrons don't bind together, it's the strong force that keeps it together, if it were electromagnetism that held together an atom, the nucleus would consist of protons and electrons.

@snipesnrifles that's what I said ffs! atoms link each other with electromagnetism and nucleons in the nucleus of an atom link each other with strong nuclear force. You deformed what I said too much! I said atomS are linked by electromagnetism not atom!

MyloDude22 1 month ago

How can a true Christian turn his back on god. If you were really a true Christian then you would fight for what you believe.
Razgriz0139 1 month ago
@Razgriz0139 Like Peter did? Saying someone was "never a true Christian" because they followed, then stopped following is a man made reasoning to try and justify why a person has left the Christian church. Peter denied Christ 3 times according to the Bible, then went back to following. So by that logic
A) Peter was never a true Christian(which no Christian would agree with) or
B) This whole "true Christian" is just a falsehood created by men to control more people.

Paul has his followers and Peter has his. But John 13:34-35 explains what a true Christian is. Christ teachings are explained in the 4 gospels that are in the bible. Everything he taught is self explanatory. Check it out for yourself. I question many leaders and religious folks with his teachings.

Pursuitofwisdom 3 months ago

LarsTheHonest 3 months ago
@LarsTheHonest hmm, it seems to me that every christian sect sees other christians as not 'true christians'. a lot of energy is burned each day by each sect claiming they 'truly' understand the bible and all other christians are confused and lost. you might even say that this is what christians are best at: proving that their version of christianity is the correct version. are you a 'true christian'? if so, why do you believe that?
timwhite2005 3 months ago
@timwhite2005 I believe I am saved, yeah. And I don't think a few differences in theology seperates a true Christian from a false one. Besides, Im not the one to judge, I'll leave that up to the one who created us.
Why do I believe I am saved? Because I believe in Jesus Christ and repent my sin. That is the important point; to believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins.
LarsTheHonest 3 months ago

Jesus said "Judge not, lest you be judged". In other words, he was saying that if you judge someone, you will be judged the same way. Jesus didnt tell us not to ever judge anyone for any reason whatsoever, but to be careful, and not hypocritical.
LarsTheHonest 3 months ago
When you are in a relationship with God, you are a true Christian. Very few would consciously walk out of that relationship. That is not to say you are unable to do so, you can, but that would be the one unforgivable sin, to sin against the Holy Spirit. If you once were a Christian, and then consciously chose satan (because you would still believe in God and satan if you ever were a true Christian), you can not be forgiven.
LarsTheHonest 3 months ago
There is no way to know for sure that a person is a Christian. Believing in God doesn't necessarily equal being a "true" Christian. You need to be in a relationship with the God that you believe in, to be a Christian. It makes no sense to suddenly say "I dont believe in you" after being in a relationship with someone for years. Christianity is not like Islam. Muslims believe in God, but Christians live in a relationship with him. That is the crucial difference.

If you don't believe that can happen you need to sit with someone who is possed by satan. This is the real world and I pray you find the truth in the real Jesus Christ because He loves you.

jrcahill2 5 months ago
The concept of 'True Christian' is bogus because the bible is self-contradictory of how a Christian should behave. One is free to follow Jesus teachings, most of them are useful. But one has to be aware that most of his teachings directly violate the law from the OT, and some of his statements can be considered immoral by current standards, like condemning unbelief with (eternal) torture.

Scarlethippye 5 months ago
by this video, i can tell you that you were never a genuine follower of Jesus.
yes...you can tell if people are christians or not. true christians can stop following Jesus.....they can fall away from their faith in him.

Ir0nF1st924 5 months ago
@Ir0nF1st924
Until Satan came.
jairitcril111 5 months ago
@jairitcril111 and he didn't destroy satan why?
Ir0nF1st924 5 months ago
@Ir0nF1st924
Because he really didn't want to destroy Satan. He wanted Satan to suffer pain in Hell forever. Hell was never intended for us humans. It was intended for the fallen angels.
jairitcril111 5 months ago
« He wanted [X] to suffer pain in Hell forever »
So replacing [X] with "Satan" makes it better than when you substitute any human name?
Do you think *anybody* deserves to "suffer forever"?
XGralgrathor 5 months ago
@XGralgrathor
NOBODY deserves to suffer forever. That's the point why Jesus Christ came to die for us all. He already paid the price, all you do is you gotta come to Him and ask for forgiveness.
jairitcril111 5 months ago
@jairitcril111 Why does your god have to create such a convoluted loophole? Why can't he just forgive everybody, instead of demanding people accept a fairy tale about a jewish carpenter who died and came back three days later?
TheLordOfTheSporks 5 months ago
@TheLordOfTheSporks
The reason "the jewish carpenter" died is because he loved us and saw us in our sin, and we all know where sins take you.
jairitcril111 5 months ago
@jairitcril111 If nobody deserves to suffer forever, then why do we have to accept jesus before we can prevent that? If no one deserves to suffer forever, then why don't we just automatically go to heaven? Also, true christians don't exist. No one is following all the commandments that god/jesus gave. Heck, I doubt most 'true christians' don't even follow half of them.
Sanquinity 5 months ago
@Sanquinity
We don't remember everything, that's the purpose of the Holy Spirit, to remind us of what we do
jairitcril111 5 months ago
@jairitcril111 Bullshit. If god really wanted to forgive, he could have just done so. He shouldn't have needed to send himself in human form down to earth, to sacrifice himself, to himself. Which is a very stupid way to allow forgiveness anyway. And you're wrong. Even people that do sin, even the worst sins, get to go to heaven, as long as they're forgiven and accept jesus. So, a mass murderer/rapist that is forgiven goes to heaven. But little 10 year old atheist timmy doesn't.
Sanquinity 5 months ago
@Sanquinity
When a child gets the ability to choose between God and Satan, then that decision determines whether he'll go to Heaven or not. Maybe you should ask someone who can answer all your questions. Because if you know how old I was, you'd be surprised
jairitcril111 5 months ago
@jairitcril111 And you saying that that's what the holy spirit is for, is just your excuse to not have to listen to all the commandments. Remembering has nothing to do with it. As, you know, it's written right there in your book. Read it cover to cover, and you'll know what you should or shouldn't do, won't you?
Funny thing is though, that reading the bible cover to cover has proven to also be the most effective way to 'convert' Christians to at least agnosticism.
Sanquinity 5 months ago
@Sanquinity
I just have to pattern my life after Jesus.
jairitcril111 5 months ago
@jairitcril111 Heh, no you wouldn't bring a bible when trying to convert someone. Or they could read all the contradictions, bullshit, atrocities, how unfair and malicious god is, and all that crap in it. Instead, you just want to tell people the scriptures that aid your cause, and leave the things that might deter them (which is more than what might convert them) out of your conversion attempt.
Sanquinity 5 months ago
@jairitcril111 Jesus didn't need the bible. He was the son of god. Heck, he technically WAS god. You're not Jesus. You're 'just a human'. You're infallible. That's why the book exists. So you have something that teaches you what you need to know. But you choose to ignore a lot of the rules in there, because quite frankly they'd get you the death penalty in some cases, or jail time in others. Heck, even just follow Jesus' teachings. They aren't too bad. But you won't do that either.
Sanquinity 5 months ago
@Sanquinity
I really appreciate you for being brutally honest with me. You've actually showed me my blind spot, you we're correct, I was ignoring the Bible and what was in it.
"Heck, even just follow Jesus' teachings. They aren't too bad." I didn't get that quite a bit :/ Anyways thanks again for being honest :D
jairitcril111 5 months ago
@jairitcril111 What I mean is, that the old and new testament teach different things. Jesus' teachings are the new testament. And those, though sometimes still weird and seemingly severely out-dated, aren't as criminal as many of the old testament commandments.
Sanquinity 5 months ago
If like you say you had times when you felt the holy spirit if you were a christian then you would still be a christian, wouldn't you? I mean if you honestly felt the holy spirit then you would be a fool not to continue in your faith, wouldn't you?
nickybadboy50 6 months ago 2
@nickybadboy50 Maybe he believes the following; The holy spirit can be a sensory/internal hallucination. Basically the feeling of the holy spirit can be created by the subconscious mind simulating what the feeling of the holy spirit/being embraced by a surrogate heavenly parent would be like. Chrisitanity is a religion of faith, not by feeling.
jairitcril111 5 months ago
@jairitcril111 Faith - belief without evidence. From my experience the only thing that would motivate someone to believe something without rational evidence is feeling. Normally numinous feelings evoked by the bible, whilst in church, or one's that occur after repeated exposure to Christian doctrine.

i have no idea what i am. i love jesus with all my heart and follow him as role model in love, forgiveness, non-judgment, pacifism, praying for enemies, sharing what i have, loving others as myself... but i've never been to church, or belong to any denomination, nor ever converted, nor been babtised. i find many christians pro war, racist, unkind, angry, hateful, judgmental, closed minded, ... what am i? is there a church that has same values i have? just love and peace, no hate?
sherhak 6 months ago
@sherhak You are an atheist who hasn't given up on one last god... Seriously though it sounds like you are more of a Deist than anything... or maybe a true agnostic who uses christian principle as a model that explains the world rather than an actual literal account of events. But in either way you don't appear to be the asshole who claims that everyone unlike you is going to hell so I thank you and welcome further discussions.
premiertremere 6 months ago
@premiertremere thanks for the response. i don't think there's anyone "unlike" me. or believe in hell. "hell" is that state of mind that's so closed and self-important that doesn't let any light in. i believe jesus can be savior to humanity only because of his all inclusive love and tolerance. he could care less about dogma or what church one belongs to. he'd prefer a tolerant atheist to intolerant christians who claim exclusivity and preach hell. a god of fear isn't worth being God.
sherhak 6 months ago
@sherhak "he'd prefer a tolerant atheist to intolerant christians" While you may be right that Jesus wouldn't advise intolerant christianity, the teachings of Jesus in the Bible clearly deny atheism. A person must "love the Lord their God with all their heart, soul, and mind" to come to Heaven. Also, only through "Jesus" does one come to be with the Father. An atheist fulfills neither of these requirements.
MrAtheism33 6 months ago

Jesus HIMSELF said that he is a Prophet in (Luke 19:24, Matthew 13:57).
The Believers of Jesus themselves said that Jesus is a Prophet in Matthew 21:10-11.
John 8:58 Jesus was the foretold Messiah and the greatest and final Jewish Prophet.

d007ization 6 months ago
@d007ization If you consider a 'true' Christian to be a delusional nut job who transposes an imaginary realm over REALITY because they blindly believe in whatever nonsense their parents brainwashed into them, or whatever 'sounds nice'...then yes, a 'true' Christian would never have doubt, that requires INTELLIGENT & RATIONAL THOUGHT! 'True' believers would never make the mistake of using that precious little gift that separates us from the beasts...right? EXACTLY WHY YOU NUTS ARE SO DANGEROUS!

Actually the original definition of sin comes from the Greek term for missing the mark normally used in the context of Archery. If a person missed their target they "Sinned". Dont believe me? Look it up

Other notable atheists are the cold-blooded killers, Che Gueverra and Joseph Stalin. Might throw in Mussolini, Mao, and Pol Pot.

@acrovader Notable Christians that are cold blooded killers were people in the Spanish Inquisition like Richard the Lion Hearted, Herman Cortes, and not to mention God Himself.
Ks0ccer 6 months ago
@acrovader Except they didn't kill in the 'name' (Of which there is none) of Atheism. Hitler was a vegetarian, does that mean that all vegetarians are immoral monsters? You can't actually kill for Atheism, because there is nothing in Atheism that warrants the killing of anything. For Christians or Muslims, there is God or Allah. For Atheism there is nothing.

I find that very ignorant person.
silvermystic2001 6 months ago
@silvermystic2001 I find that kind of person ignorant too. Because even straight people go to hell too. I've seen many homosexuals struggling in faith, and Christ is their comfort. Many people (especially those that I know) still choose to battle their desires and walk with God. It's not the label that should matter, but faith.
gatsbyfaulkner 6 months ago
why do i get the sneaking suspicion that these atheists are trying desperately to seek a way to justify their sin ( mostly sexual by the way ) not all but I suspect a great many. like the the atheist call in talk show - the majority of them are homosexuals. I believe that the more you find yourself pulled towards atheism - the more your sexual perversions will increase - the more you will find yourself drawn to the dark side. I wonder how many of you will silently agree.
whiteliketar 6 months ago
@whiteliketar
DbzmasterdbzNecrossR 6 months ago
@DbzmasterdbzNecrossR ha ha - exactly as i thought - sin has deadened your consicience - you can no longer even recognise your own evil. - perhaps sinking in a quagmire of sexual deviancy and proud as hell about it .
whiteliketar 6 months ago
@whiteliketar
DbzmasterdbzNecrossR 6 months ago
@DbzmasterdbzNecrossR - like i said - you have created your own of relevant truth - If the girl you slept with called you up and told you she had HIV or HEP B - you would understand why the Bible's call to a higher standard is justified. Many of the teenagers infected last year and the thousands whose live's will be devastated this year might have been averted. also thousands of teenagers getting pregnant will have their innocent babies killed by atheist doctors just for short term pleasure?
whiteliketar 6 months ago
@whiteliketar what you have said is a painful reality. Here in the Philippines, heinousness is more justified than Biblical Standards: 800, 000 babies EVERY YEAR are aborted... Filipinos are basically religious,,,, but being religious is different from answering back to God's call to walk with Him.
gatsbyfaulkner 6 months ago
@gatsbyfaulkner - Thanks for your support - no ones likes to discuss the dark side of atheism but the blood of innocent babies scream for justice from their tiny graves - the atheist professor in the biology class spreading his lies has a burden that is unsurpassed.
whiteliketar 6 months ago
@whiteliketar no problem. We must continue to believe in Christ. There had been no point in history where Love, Forgiveness, and Justice converged into one except the time when Jesus redeemed us thru His Cross... This is the reason why I came to Christ. This is the reality that Atheists try to escape. As Peter Hitchens noted, they're (atheists) content as long as their beliefs go unchallenged. It seems they're there to please themselves and be comfortable with it.
gatsbyfaulkner 6 months ago
@DbzmasterdbzNecrossR Sir, one day, when your senile, that's the time when you can finally think about "getting laid isn't a fun idea after all"... Then you would cram to put on faith as though starting all over again. Why not start now?
