  • chile this is advance

  • Before I do my heavy Olympic Weightlifting workouts, I make sure to ALWAYS do 75 scorpions per leg. It is amazing for warming up and preventing back injury. After a few weeks, I was able to touch both hands with my feet.

  • Wicked stuff, I love Steve Cotters work! For tons of body weight training videos and ideas take a look at my videos

  • hahaha, he starts the video very well!!! hahaha

  • Fantstic video!!! I learned a lot !!!! Keep posting great videos and also watch my videos !!!

  • I just tried the scorpion for the first time of my life, it feels impossible to achieve!! wow!!

  • man this guy is strong, flexible, and explosive...ultimate warrior. That's the kinda fit im looking for.

  • I could not do that if you put ten million dollars in front of me. Not these old bones.

  • The first exercise woud be a nice little addition to my warmup.

  • This is both a beginning and advanced version at the same time. When done arms extended by say the Prasara/Flowfit folks it is the same technique just different emphasis or style or something. Alter it to suit your purposes. I have seen this standing in judo, the bridge is not dissimilar in action. This is a good one.

  • ...

  • "athletes can't wait 2 days to recover man.

dont confuse the destruction required for bodybuilding with athletic training. optimally" Dont know about that, but olympic rings/bar gymnasts dont look whimpy thats for sure!

  • my back tightened up just watching the scorpion...

    :-D

  • The Scorpion Twist keeps popping up recently as being contraindicated, due to the unnatural stress it imposes on the facet joints.

Within a few years, it'll be a thing of the past.

  • Absolutely Agree Bocasean and hyperextension of the back putting undo stress on the anterior disc as well

  • wow thats sexy and effective.

  • u need to let ur muscles repair and recover..or else u wont be performing at ur muscle's peak. while recuperating..watch your diet..it will affect the speed of your recovery..while waiting to recover (ard 2 days) its best if u do light stretching as it will re-align ur muscle fibers in a linear pattern.this will improve the blood flow..which in turn speeds up recovery even faster apart from acquiring greater flexibility.

  • athletes can't wait 2 days to recover man.

dont confuse the destruction required for bodybuilding with athletic training. optimally, you should be ready to perform at your peak daily.

  • yeah, wat this dude says.

im in 7th grade (haha, very funny), but my coaches pushes us to the serious limit

start: Normal stretches, the push ups (6 hard core ones, its ok for us, we;re not oh so super), 15 situps, and then sprints. about..8 of them. not hard

then, longer running. 300's. back to back (sorta, u walk for a little, but u get right back in) and then more running.

us 13 year old athletes cant recuperate. its hard. we do this every other day, too.

  • "Every OTHER Day or Too"

You Heard it from a seventh grader_ that goes back to original statement. "Rest two days"

AThletes should also strive to change-up daily. In other words- Don't do same moves each day-

There are HUNDREDS of exercises you can pick from for tomorrow that you didn't do today. Two days from now. You'll have given proper rest factor.

    NO ONE SAYS COMPLETE REST!!!

  • fair enough, but don't confuse athletic performance with athletic training. An athlete's having to perform on a daily basis is not always an ideal training environment, rather it is simply a practical reality in some sports. I would also point out that most athletes do not have to perform at their peak daily--not only do they have days off, but they also have an offseason in which to pursue different training goals.

  • @klined you have my interest, can you explain more? What does your statement mean? I am interested in transitioning from bodybuilding training to more functional athletic training.....can I train everyday using the same workout, is that what you are saying...

  • dam

  • Cool I have been look for something now to add and/or sub for the stuff I'm doing now. would this be good to do every other day or would it be better as a once/twice week burn booster for what ever one is doing. Also what should starting rep and set numbers be for doing this these of exorcises?

  • first one looks killer

  • nice. Can you do this kind of ab work every day?

  • every other day...no point in working the same muscles everyday or there will be no growth

  • yes you can

growth is not required for strengthening them

  • True u actually can work abbs everyday if you know where to hit them on the different angles and it is true what u said about strengthening them. If you do any labor you probubly do them every day i know I do but i dont target them, thats the difference.
