  • which company are u going

  • The sad part is big companies like this put you on hold even when people are available and all the automated machines to connect to someone in an attempt to frustrate you and make you hang up and avoid having to do the work or actually doing this.

  • Bell, Rogers and Telus all suck, but I Bell is the worst that's for sure.

Until we have real competition in Canada we're at the mercy of these uncaring companies. Hopefully one day Verizon, AT&T, etc.. will be allowed to operate here and we can say goodbye to three year contracts, rip off user fees and get half decent customer service.

  • @KeyGuy1967 Sorry, I think it's only going to get worse. :-(

  • Bell sucks!!! I spend 3 hours today on the phone to talk to some Indians, and still cannot get problem solved. I got bell fibe 16 service two days ago! I will cancel it tomorrow. Bell Canada Internet is a joke. Very disappointed.

  • i was a retention agent for bell sympatico sorry dude lol

  • im going threw this crap ryt now,2 funny,i thot i was the only 1! and best part ur vid is 6:15 " we got uhh, cable now ,and its wonderful ........long ackward pause............ " LoL

  • those pauses are the moron on the other side looking threw is work tree lmfao.

  • I had the same problem, everytime I called, they'd always run me through checking firewall ports, scanning for virii, etc. FINALLY they redirected me to a hardware guy, who didn't really seem to know what he was doing, until I just told him to check the DSLAM for a misconfigured port on their side, and lo and behold, he found one. Everything worked fine for 2 days, then the same problem came back. Spent another hour with techsupport. Worked for a week, came back again. Another hour...

  • @liamsp544

Their aging equipment is failing, and they can't be bothered to upgrade it, and some bean counter convinced them it's best to have an underpaid call centre on the other side of the world, which is really just a slap in the face to customers.

  • I am thinking of switching from Rogers to Bell but I have no idea if that's a good idea. Rogers just lied to my face apparently I used 36Ghz and my plan supports only 25Ghz, but my computer is broken and haven't used it since the beginning of the month i've even unplugged the network cable. Bunch of criminals I say.

  • @raiderqwe Well considering Ghz generally refers to computer hardware and not bandwith 'Robbers' might just be right lol. Anywho if you meant your Roger Lite package at a 25GB cap was over 11GB that might make more sense. Do not and I repeat do not switch to Bell you will only have worse speed, customer service, everything imaginable what you need to do is check into a company called TekSavvy.com they offer resold DSL from 'Bhell' except you get 200GB/Unlimited they also just started cable too.

  • fuck bell. I cancelled my services with them for a new service eastlink, and bell will not let them hook up my internet till the march 19th which is my march break the time i have off school so what do i do this is unfair they are fucking criminals !!!!!!

  • Man I am so glad we switched from Bell to Cogeco.

We were on an old plan (early 2000s) which stated that our speed would be 3.5 Mb download ($60/month). But we did a Bell speedtest, and found that we were getting 1.5 Mb (equvalent to a $40 plan).

Dad called Bell multiple times to fix the problem, but they wouldn't do anything. So he gave Bell a cancellation notice and said that he would only resume service if they restored our speed.

    They didn't. (cont)

  • Instead, they tried to charge us a "network upgrade fee" to restore the speed that we were supposed to be getting in the first place.

Dad didn't pay it, cancelled his service, and signed up with Cogeco for a much faster plan (14 Mb/s down) for the same price.

The only thing that Bell provides for us now is phone service on Dad's business line. We'll probably get rid of that too, in time.

  • I also switched off Bell phone service, it was poor quality, probably because of the old, worn wires which come to our house. I told Bell about the wires many times, but I guess it isn't worth their time to fix them, and makes more financial sense for them to lose a customer.

I've been using Vonage VOIP through our Cogeco internet conneciton. Cogeco also offers its own VOIP service.

We still have Bell ExpressVu Satellite TV, but I fear the dish needs re-alignment. We'll see how that goes!

  • Realigning the dish isn't that much of a problem. You just need a couple tools, a pair of walkie talkies, and a bit of patience.

We've realigned the dishes at our house and our cottage more than a few times. The one at our cottage is a pain, since the dish is mounted high up on our TV tower.

But yeah, I don't know how Bell gets away with treating their customers like garbage.

  • yup, fuck them

  • Bell internet are a bunch of cocksucking assholes.

  • Of course my last comment was so long due to the fact that I couldn't watch the video anyway due to the fact that it's Saturday and Bell's crap Wimax in Windsor is so insanely oversubscribed that youtubes don't have a prayer of playing without about 30 download pauses.

    oh my god bell sucks.

  • Bell Sympatico sucks way beyond compare. I once moved into a new house and had to cancel dsl service and the support rep kept trying to talk me out of cancelling when I didn't even live at the property anymore and there was no physical way to stay with them whether I wanted to or not. I wanted to reach through the phone and punch him sensless. I swear you have to have an IQ of less than 50 to work sales for the evil empire of Bell. Sympatico in a nutshell: SLOW, Unreliable, Oversubscribed.

  • I work customer service for bell. If I ever left that much dead air Mark...holy cow. I hope that this video is truly not sending a message too all Bell customers. I work with an amazing group of people.

  • I've done customer service for AT&T and if I had left that much dead air on a call the way that "Mark" did I would have been written up or canned. :P

  • me i would have started yelling

  • wow, i tough it would be much harder to cancel a subscription, you make me want to cancel everything i got with bell first thing in the morning, i'm upgrading to cable too

  • wow you stayed very calm....I kept watching because it looked like you were about to crack at any moment!! : -/

  • "hows it goin mark" hahaha

  • I like how Mark would just go silent on you. Grrr. That always peeves me off when customer service does that. At least tell me that you're working on something, don't just shut up and make me think you hung up on me.

  • Ya, I thought he disconnected me. Wouldn't be the first time. I guess he was typing up my response for the Bell archives. Or having a sip of coffee.
