  • GREAT SONG!!! What TV show did this come from?

  • Why is arnold schwarzenegger singing country? and how did he lose so much weight? JK I Know who it is and king george rules.

  • @OldMusicSoul thats freaking funny!!!!!

  • He's gonna fool around and get big!! LOL:)

  • str8 to number one!!

  • That right there people...is the man.

    The King.

  • He was and is still such a stud.

  • George was needed a hair cut here LOL , this is the real country ...

  • OOOOHHHH hell...~~wiggling~~

  • George Strait has more #1 singles than any other artist in the history of music on any chart or in any genre. AWESOME!

  • He is the king. Its a damn joke the stuff played on the radio today long live King George.

  • Wow, give it up son. There's no future in it for you.

  • If you are a not of fan of the music that is coming out of Nashville, then we need to support artists like Miranda Lambert.

  • @rhofo72 Not happening around me...she had one song that sounded decent and then followed it up by the prep girl song "Only Prettier"

  • A rare performance with just the mic and no guitar. Little did we know back then this man who dared to wear a cowboy hat would become a mega star . We love you King George.

  • I'm so glad I'm not the only one that thinks that!!!! What happened to country music?

  • Dont get me wrong..........I still love George Strait but man he was so much better back in the early 80s. His songs were more traditional country...he is still great just wish he wouldnt have changed.

  • yeah Nashville aint much anymore. I remember these 80 tunes like one minute ago.

  • Nashville is NOT in control of Country Music, New York is. They got control of it back in the 90s, and tell Nashville what to do. It all started when Dick Clark and his "investors" bought out TNN. From that moment on, it was just a matter of time. Look at what has become of Gaylord Entertainment. It has been reduced to being a theme park management company. Oh, yeah, they own a bar too! PATHETIC. Makes me sick just thinking about it.

  • He is so handsome there (:

    Well, all the time :P

  • Alot of the texas country singers these days need to listen to this early stuff. Texas music before it had a name.

  • easton

  • He's another country oldie with really good hit. All his songs are good!.. Even his today songs are great. He just keeps them on a comin'..

  • you know its a shame wats happened to country music. its lost its roots and tradition. Nashville now a days only cares if the person looks good on stage. doesn't give a crap if they've got talent. its sad. George Strait is the man. i'm 17 yrs. old and love classic country music. sing on George Strait, sing on.

  • He gets better with age. He is a class act. : )

  • I saw George Strait in concert about 3 years ago (Ronnie Milsap as special guest to put some icing on the cake!) I remember that special evening at hersheypark like it was yesterday!

  • KING GEORGE ,U R AWESOME

  • he just stands there and sings, and makes it look damn good...There's a reason why we call him the KING

  • He stands there and sings, and makes it amazing, this is the reason he is called the King

  • great tune...thanks.....

  • damn this makes me want to pack up and move to texas

  • PRICELESS

  • That Is Country music!!!!!!!!!

  • Goodness! How young is he here!? :)

  • @LilaBean05 i think this is from like 82 or 83 so like 30 or 31 mabey.

  • im 14 but i cant stand any other "country " besides george strait, brooks and dunn, toby keith, clay wlkaer ,clint black, alan jackson and some others

  • @countrymusicgtavboy2 same as me but im 13 add miranda lambert to that and thats pretty much my list as well. however KING GEORGE is without a dought #1 on that list!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Awesome song!

  • This songs still gets to me everytime

  • Now This IS Country!, plus he is Soooooo Sexy... Mmmm

  • George Strait is the best ever .Thanks for posting

  • 56 # 1

  • George Strait holds the record for the most hits at 56 hits! Go George! By the time your done you should have 600!

  • The BEST country singer ever.

  • After seeing this guy I'm looking forward to moving to TX.

  • I agree, alan sucks. king george. everything he touches turns to gold.

  • LOL My husband thought I was crazy because I have had a crush on George Strait since I was a little girl. I think I was about 6 when this song came out. He is so Awesome!

  • I wonder will there ever be a country singer who is as talented, charming and as good as the man George Strait ? I doubt !!! Love ya George

  • not a chance

  • Damn right. Alan Jackson may sing traditional country, but he's not a real cowboy like King George.

  • What a great singer! George Strait music is great!

  • why wasnt this a number one?

  • Unfortunately no. It only made it to #3 although it's a #1 in my book.

  • He went number #1 in Indy. I remember it on WFMS 95.5... The loved George

  • I'm sure it went #1 in quite a few cities, but I was referring to the Billboard Charts it only made it to #3 Still a great song.

  • this is real country nashville has ruined country music so bad it's afucking joke just a bunch of pop bullshit luckily we still have texas country

  • damn STRAIT! cant stand all that bs country, brokeback flatts, taylor swift, all she sings about is boys boys boys, George is pretty much the only one left!

  • I can't believe there are so many people who thinks Rascal Flats can sing. I think they suck. And Taylor Swift sings off key when she sings live. I can't believe she beat George Strait for Entertainer Of the Year. I was pissed.

    GEORGE IS THE MAN!!!

  • @simwrangler yeah i was 2. but you know wat, George won a better award; artist of the decade.

  • hey, hey... Alan Jackson's good too

  • NOT!!!

  • Alan sucks

  • @jabusenb omg... I was 14 when this came out... loved him since.. I'm 43 now!!

  • but there's still artists like alan jackson OR there's another artist named aaron watson who does country like george, i think you might like his style

  • Yeah there's still some new ones coming, Some a little late, But there coming.. Oh.. and me lol

  • @AZcowboy25 George Strait is not as good as he was in the '80s and '90s and just like Conway Twitty and George Jones before him there will come a time when the hits begin to slow.

The only reason his success continued to be phenomonal in the 2000's is not because he's as great as he used to be, but because the music industry is in such a terrible state. He no longer has to be Great Strait, he just has to be better than the manufactured garbage record companies try and pass off now!

  • @FabFM you have no idea what you are talking about. George is as HOT as ever. i just seen him in concert and it was awesome, true country.

  • @1redneckgal Yeah I do know what I'm talking about actually. George best songs were from the '80s and '90s and his shows today are packed with songs from that era, just like many older singers, whos best is behind them.

  • @FabFM Idiot. That's all I can say about that statement.

  • @giftiegirlie You're the idiot. At least have an argument moron!

  • @FabFM i honstly think that he is the best singer to ever come around. however i still think that his prime NEVER ended!!! he's still goin and if i do say so myself he's goin lookin good doin it!!! :)

  • @MrGeorgestrait97 Thats fine, I have no problem with you dissagreeing with me, we're all entitled to hold our own view. What I have a problem with is those who think they are justified in name calling those who don't agree with them.

  • @AZcowboy25 you appear "broke back" wink, wink , flame on!!

  • @86collind

    Hells yea.

    The Preacherman.

  • @86collind TEXAS country music FTW!! come to Austin if you want to hear lots of awesome old skool country music.. check Myspace for Leo Rondeau and Mike and the Moonpies for example.. or Roger Wallace.. enjoy!

  • @86collind Damn straight! I hate this mtv shit.

  • @86collind amen

  • One of my favorite songs of his. Notice the curly hairdo he had from '81 to '84? Good thing he cut it off for good in '85.

  • Great. I saw GS at Myrtle Beach just before he released his first album. He was so covered in bra's and panties couldn't hardly see him...and he was blushing....God, Didn't realize how old I was.

  • 2turbotitaniumxtreme, what the hell? I think your problem with "the ladies" might be you, not George Strait from the 80's. Just a guess!

  • Thanks for sharing.

The only bad thing I can say about 80s George Strait is that I listened too well when I was a kid, and tired too hard to be that "good guy" that he was always singing about becoming.

Who likes somebody who isn't troublesome and non-appreciative?

    Modern pretty ladies, that's who!

    Great video though!

  • I love George Strait!!!! I know you still love me, but I don't think you like me anymore <3.

  • i was born that year. didnt know this song was 27 years old. still a hit to me though

  • this song is actually from his 1st album- Strait Country which was released in 1981. So it's 28 years old and it's my most favorite song from him.

  • I love the old school George, thanks for posting. 27 years later, "wanting a stranger" would still be a hit.

  • i guess

    * you cant make a heart love somebody*

  • damn. this video really shows his vocals. super bad ass!

  • wow hes fuckin young

  • George Strait is the king of country. He has so many good songs. Plus he is so sexy.

  • Sometimes I give myself the stranger.....

  • Do you happen to know if this was filmed on Hee Haw or where?

    ♫ Derek J. Holak ♫

And Besides We Are From The Same State. Keri Nowling, Formerly Of Austin, Texas, Now Residing In Seymour, Indiana.

  • Now that's a song!!

    I love it =)

  • hehehehe cool :)

  • He is so HOTT!!!!

  • Smokes he is actually 30 in this video. Wow, look at him here, the only thing that's changed about him is his hair & his voice is a little deeper. Everything else has stayed exactly the same in the past 25 years and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that!

  • Sweet young thang... he had no idea what was gonna happen. I am so proud of him for the way he has handled it all. The Texas Troubadour, hell of a person.

  • what an AMAZING song. this dude would sound good with a cold!!

  • I just love George Strait He is my biggest insparation to keep singing.

  • I Love That Song Too Myself, He Released A Second Single Titled Fool Hearted Memory Also In 1982, Both Of These Songs Came Out The Same Year I Was Born. Keri Nowling, Formerly Of Austin, Texas, Now Residing In Seymour, Indiana.
