  • nice,

  • what stream are you in?

  • Its BROOK trout.

  • i read that you use flourocarbon when fly fishing and as a bass fisherman i know that flourocarbon sinks... what type of tippet do you use for dry flies

  • typical native brooke trout stream

  • this looks alot like glade creek

  • those 6 foot rods are pretty hard to find arent they, im thinking custom is gonna be the way to go.

  • i bought a 2wt 6ft scientific anglers rod and reel off ebay for 15$

  • no kidding, was it an individual auction, or an ebay store, im gonna go check it out right now!

  • an individual auction

  • personally, whats your favorite fly?

  • my go to dry fly is a stimulator my go to nymph is a hares ear....my favorite type of fishing is dry fly fishing

  • yea I'd agree

  • what length and weight flyrod would you recommend for starting out flyfishing small streams like these? I spin fish for natives alot, but I want to get into flyfishing to try and make it a bit more challenging.

  • some people preach 1wt's and 2wt's at 6 feet but i'm comfortable with my 4wt 8'6 rod....i'm a believer in use what your comfortable with....places like this get tight and you have to manage your line alot.......the only thing you must do is go up in tippet/leader sized like 7-8 x
