They are so adorable lol.....When I got my cocker spaniel - Jake - He would do the same thing at the bottom or top of the stairs. So I "taught" him how to go up and down the stairs, after a couple of tries he did it like a pro and then followed me everywhere - even to the bathroom lol

aww!! we had a cocker spaniel that was 2 years old named Daisey. and her "tube" or what ever that is to her liver was to small and her stomach started filling with fluid...and her liver shut down and we had to put her down saturday :(

I was told a sad story by a guy working at the pound, he said that there were alot of Cocker Spaniels put down 4 'biting' because people do not get the differance between 'nipping' & biting. All dogs that go to the pound for 'biting' get put down. He said the problem is they are just so cute & people always put their faces in Spaniels face, & it scares them. Sometimes, they nip. Big differance between that nip & biting. So watch the face stuff, or when they do nip, don't over react.

They make fantastic pets. I had one many years ago and my wife and I are looking for a new puppy at the moment. I think female dogs are better as they don't try to hump everthing in sight! lol. English Cockers are cuter than American ones too - but they are all great little animals! Get one - if you can provide it with the exercise it will need!
