  • I do this as part of my job...

  • My computer hasn't been dusted so long it probably has dust in the cables.

  • Buying one after seeing this vid!

  • I love the old heatsinc!!!

  • Its nice..but dont those things cost 90 %?

  • just a tip from a pc technician: always hold any kinda fan blades in place when blowing out fans on heatsinks, chipsets, power supplies, and video cards. the amount of force from any compressed air can kill a fan or shorten its life when you nuke em like that. i know - i've done it.

  • I get the same feeling watching this video as I do with those zit/cyst popping vids

  • I usually use a hair drier but i think compressed air canisters are the safest option for your parts

  • Why does it feel so good to blow out dust from your computer with compressed air? It feels like a weight is lifted from your shoulders knowing all that crap is gone.

  • @wdmnetwork hell yes, like washing a car, good as new

  • i used my mouth just to get rid of the dust in my PC.

  • I bet that was satisfying :P

  • Looking at that computer makes me want to go there and clean it

  • cool you're smart enough to hold the fans from spinning cuz they are only made to go so fast and you can burn them up :)

  • ZIPTIES.

  • Is This Better then cans for high end gaming system that cost 2K?

  • @iryan74656 For a system at that price, you should be using water cooling. :D

  • @pratt123 I use fan and it cool just fine at 2600K @ 4.40GHz max temp about 52 60c

  • @iryan74656 You were asking about cans for CLEANING. And my answer is water cooling for a system that costs 2K. No dust to clean off.

  • Whatever work can be done by using needle, it can not be done by using Sword. You should try using same air nozzles and pressure in toilet instead of toilet paper.

You are just wastage of power, time and resources. by using air pressure in tiny micro components, it can disrupts them and you may endue dead motherboard.

Wtf are you talking about dumbass? Learn English.

  • I use the vacuum cleaner

  • You have to be quite careful when using compressed air. Air is incredibly abrasive, and can actually blow components off of a PCB. I use my compressor on physical parts, like a case fan or a heatsink, which usually get the most dust anyway. Otherwise I use a brush to knock off dust and a vacuum to get the now-airborne dust. Works quite well.

  • What are the specs/details of the air compressor used for this? I want to buy one for my own use but I dont want to damage any of the components in any of my computers. There are many different types. Example:

4.3 Gallon Air Compressor 2 HP 120 Volt Direct Drive Motor Oil lubricated pump 95-125 working psi 5.4 cfm at 40 psi 4.1 cfm at 90 psi

2 Gallon Hotdog Tank Brush-motor -Oil free, direct drive, single stage pump. Working pressure: 70-100PSI -1.0CFM@40PSI, 0.7CFM@90PSI

  • another shit cleaner who think is right but is another NOOB

  • @necromass666 You're another shit eater noob.

  • What kind of problems do you have now?

  • What I do is I clean the computer with the compressor and then let it sit for >24 hours. Like that I am sure that there is no little droplet just on 2 contacts of a IC wich wil short out when you power it.

  • That looked very satisfying 0.0

  • ouch! hopefully you didn't got any water on that...usually air compressors don't have a filter of some kind....

you can tell by throwing some one your hand for a while, shortly you will feel a cold humid feeling on your hand!(this means, time for a new computer!)

  • PC ai ta parecendo a casa do Homem Aranha

  • Edit:

I meant to say how sure are you all the dust is removed from inside the casing in the video card? I've never done this before so..

  • hahahaa, im gonna do this this weekend. How if at all do you clean the actual video card heatsink?

  • 8800GTS, just like mine :D

  • Isn't that dangerous for static? I heared it can damage your motherboard and cards.

  • Now thast a clean Computer looks brand new

  • Hey it's cheaper than the air cans that you get from the computer stores.

I've been doing that for over 20 years and it works well. But if you really want to get freaked out, take a look at that dust under a microscope. All kinds of little monsters in that dust....which is mostly dead human skin. Those little monsters feed on that dead skin.

A computer is a great air filter for sure.

  • which pc you have????i dont have a compressor ..how much wud it cost?? i mean whole compressor kit?

  • if you backed off like that- it shows you're not WEARING A MASK :P

use one- do you dont kill ur lungs lol

  • The truth is this it the only was to clean a computer unless you want to spend $50 on compress air canisters.

  • This is all fine. Water is never a problem for a PCB. It will evaporate in minutes. The real problem are the FANS! You must block FANS you WILL burn them some day or even a fan controller. The speed of roatation under air flow is way way too fast and generates too much current in the coil.

  • @artem1kuchin Not true. Electrical motors and generators are similar, yet significantly different. A motor is inefficient as a generator, check for yourself. Your 12 volt case fan may use 7 watts to spin to 1800 RPM, hook it up to a multimeter and power it to 1800 RPM with an external air flow, and see how much wattage it pumps. If you get half it's rated input requirement (so, around 3 - 4 watts) you're doing well...

  • @ChrisHallett83 When i think (not sure) the power is actually not that important. If you spin it really fast you'll get higher voltage than 12V and that voltage can kill controller mosfets. Also, even though you are right about efficacy but if you spin 5000rpm a fan which spins 1000 rmp on 12V you will get higher than rated current in the coil.

  • know what?it should be easier to take one of jet turbines ;D

  • Wow, you should have cleaned that computer way before it got that bad! What was that 3 years of collected dust?

  • I use a small TORO air compressor, it doesn't have a water filter but I take the risk anyway. Just avoid direct blasts to your components.

  • is not the right method to clean a PC!!! Is worng information....a pc isnt'a a CAR!!!

  • why dont put tihis music and no information and voice??

  • This is by far the best method for internal PC cleaning! But always make sure you use an in-line moisture trap on an air compressor, and make sure to hold the fans still when you blow air at them, or better still - remove them from the case. Start at the top of the case and work your way down as dust travels south. :)

  • huh LOL i have the same air compressor :D

  • wont parts get damaged?? or any bad shit thats gonna happen to the parts?

  • My compressor have 3 hp and 2 cylinder 500 liter

  • Nice Job, I always wanted an air compressor just to clean my PC. However I now use stainless steel fan filters at all intake fans. They reduce the amount of dust by at least 80% in my pc.

  • Hey where do u get the compressed air from? I can't find any at my stores, and i got no cash for shipped ones and watever.

  • well that's a first, the guy held the case fan when he was cleaning it, He's the only one I've seen do that, so Kudos to You ;-)

  • Yeah, blow that capacitor, yeah :))))

  • @sashko14 HAHAHAHA! is it so wrong that when i read your comment i thought sexually? LOL!

  • hope that your air compressor has a built-in water filter otherwise you risk microscopic water molecules landing all over your electrical equipment.

  • @sh0gun119 GOOD COMMENT likewise his PC might get a chance of rusting

then it would be a total useless cleaning ^^

  • @sh0gun119

It doesn't have water filter, but i dont got problems after two years

  • @evio18 Cool old stuff i like it.

  • Comment removed

  • @sh0gun119 bullshit

  • @sh0gun119 As long as you don't have power on the computer, the water will dry out by the time you get inside.

  • @sh0gun119 Nothing happens if you just let the computer sit for a hour after the cleaning before hooking it up to the power.

  • @sh0gun119 theres h20 in normal air ya know

  • mine is 220V

  • @evio18

What brand of compressor is that? I'm looking for something just like it.

  • what is the connection, i just got air compressor but not sure what connection to buy...where you get that? im from Australia though...

  • name of the song?

    please

  • @PcMrGaming

    U2 - vertigo

  • Haha nice. Just watch the capacitors.

Here's a handy tip: stick a pencil in the fans, so you don'y have to hold them down xD

  • the pc can be damaged when compressed air aces by shooting a jet of follow-up very strong and can damage the components of the motherboard chips madrey plate and stuff also it is convenient aserlo with a leaf blower if it serves that throws a thick conical jet suitable for this type of cleaning ..

  • It's an air compressor, not a can of compressed air.

  • Ummmmmm, compressed air contains a lot of water. Not good for electronic components!

  • @sighrus99 actually its only liquid inside the can when it is released it comes out as a gas the only way to get the liquid out in liquid form is to turn the can upside down and it will come out liquid

  • Good way to clean, but i preffer disassembly all the computer once a year and clean it carefully.

  • the best a way to clean!

    industrial strength compressor! :) '

  • @xtreme404 yeee absolutely!! i loved to see hw the dust come out from mine one ;)

oh, and temperatures goes down of about 10 degrees :O

  • @Cerpantoman

:P i had tile dust inside my pc !!

it was like a nuke!!! total white out! i am so happy i did it out side!!!

  • @Cerpantoman

also it lowed my temperatures too!

    like 10 degrees too.

    happy with gaming after that!

  • yee me too ;) loving air compressor <3 xD

  • you missed a bit

  • Lol that PC looks like a Dust Plaza.

    I need clean up mine

  • way better than canned air. need to get me one. looking at a craftsman 3 gal. 1 hp 125 psi $100 compressor from sears.
