hey man i wrecked my 99 3.8 and i found a 95 that doesnt run for about 800 so i want to drop my 3.8 in it since i have a donor car for the swap do u think i will have many problems and if so can i ask you for advice
THIS IS AWESOME ... I have been looking for someone that has done a 3.4 to 3.8 in a camaro and the funny part is mynes a 94 too :) ... i have a 94 Camaro with a 3.4 and 5speed transmission and it has about 135,000 on it and im currently using it as my Daily driver to get back and forth from School but i wanted to ask you a few questions
1. Did you have to change any motor mounts or cut or modify anything to fit
2. Did you use The 3.4 or 3.8 Tranny and is there any difference between them
Same reason I did it. I already have a LS1 car so it's not like I'm missing out on any fun :). The Camaro gets me around town just fine. I got the motor and trans from $1200 out of a rear ended 98' Camaro.
@661bako To put a LT1 or LS1 in a v6 you have to take a z28 rolling chassi and swap it out with the v6 chassi because the v6 motor/tranny mounts sit wayyyy toooo farr back witch is basically a waste of money because buying a z28 is ALOT cheaper

did u have any problems with the OBD2 system ? i have a 93 camaro wantin to put a 97 motor in it and computer any idea ?

hey bro thinking about doing the same thing to my camaro. did any custom framing new tranny or comp have to be put in?
or did you just buy the engine and have it dropped in?
jw cause i have my 94 camaro and seen a wrecked 98 camaro for 1000 and been wanting to do the conversion

as long as you have the donor car it should be an ok swap..take the parts from the donor and youll be fine. let me know when you get everything.
