Stimmt, der Soundtrack wird auf Uilleann pipes gespielt, aber es ist echt eine Kunst das auch auf Great Highland Pipes zu spielen (kann ich aus Erfahrung sagen), also wer keine Ahnung zu dem Thema hat, den Mund halten. Ansonsten super gespielt.

Das Problem ist einfach, dass das Stück B-Moll gespielt ist und die Drones zur Septime mit dem Chanter steht... Sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig eben...

Hey Bloddsvik - das Stück läuft auf dem Schotten in E-Moll - aber das A der Drones klingt auch in E nicht sehr harmonisch - insofern hast du recht.

Der Dudelsack ist ein schönes Instrument, wenn er gekonnt gespielt wird (und nicht 12 Stunden nonstop). Schlecht gespielt, ist er, mMn, die Hölle ^^ aber das sind andere Instrumente auch.

truthfully, the pipes arn't as hard to play as people think. with an excelent teacher and determination, I was on the full set of pipes within 6 months. the major key is determination!

In the movie score, they were actually playing Uilleann Pipes which are by no means shrill. They are a far superior instrument to those Scottish toys. But I digress, Highland pipes can be carried in battle which is a point in their favour.
