  • this is a chasen how to use it is a MYSTERY LMAO

  • everything is a mystery lol.....

  • "It's a mystery." Why do you need an egg whisk to make tea?

  • does the hot water need to be in celsius? is celsius a fake hero person name instead of generic, like "philip screwdriver"? are those bugs flying out of tea from an unclean warehouse full of dried dead fish and stale food in leaky cellophane packages? why is it a useless caffeine drug "ceremony" like a religion, instead of an actual sanitary food service with no rude noisy bums in it? why do people get money to play, while millions have no house or food? - james mcashan for the US Senate

  • 80° WTF???? you want to have a burned mouth?

  • How much later? Obviously it's been over a year since people started commenting on that. =/ What's the point of keeping it up?

  • She's either an awesome actor or that's one hell of a CGI rendering.

  • @willfox12345 You're so right lmao!

  • lol, you must blow your tea to cool it down at a 30 degree angle and 175 miles a minute XD best part

  • i thought this video is for real.....was wondering why putting too much tea leaves in the teapot and the thermos kinda gave it away...

  • LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL. this looks soooooooooo fake and the translation stops in the middle of the video. WTF.

  • @jyogkuro This is meant to be a joke.

  • I am American and know that this is made to be funny. I laughed - very good joke on an important tradition. Thank you for making me laugh. I will now watch it again.

  • I am Japanese.

    This is a lie.

  • "How to use it...Is a mystery." I know how to use one :C

  • i love Japan because stay in school not like us she look like that WOMEN from GODZILLA VS MONSTETR ZERO I KNOW HOW TO SAY MONSTER IN JAPANESE NOW PS IM BLACK MADE RESPECT TO JAPAN if eny body call me the word n come see me

  • Would it burn to drink 80 degree celcius water?

  • @gobberdude45 The water would be about 176 degrees F, so it would be pretty hot, but some people like to drink it that way. I know this video is satire, but just for info, Japanese green tea is usually brewed at 60 degrees C because of it's delicate nature. (By comparison, black tea is brewed to boiling at 100 degrees C.)

  • They are comedians not famous.

They wanted to become famous, and made such a foolish video.

  • I don't think these kind of clothes would be found in Japan anymore

Viva many cultures that have been destroyed by globalization

  • What's sad is that so many people probably believe this when they see it, which somewhat overshadows the comedic value for those who know better.

  • it's just for entertainment, you cannot rely on this series.

  • くれわ ほんとか?

  • ほうーなるほど。ってちがうよ!

  • 外国の人々はこんなの本気にするのだろうか…

  • Beautiful girl, hilarious video...

  • this is one of the funniest videos I have ever seen !!!

    It is so subtly hyronic.

To understand it you need to know how the real tea cereminy works.

It is a parody of the real thing and it is absolutely brilliant !!!

  • @jmeexun Hmmm...not that subtle. To anyone with basic knowledge should EASILY get the joke lol

  • コーヒーで茶をふきだしたwww

    台無しだぁぁぁ!!!

  • This a comedy don't take things so seriously, you're sounding pretty possessive there. People live by learning from others, and how they live is their tradition/culture.

  • まいど

    このビデオは冗談ですよね。(>▽<;

    意味が分かるけど、二つの意味があるでしょう。ですよね。ρ(・д・*)コレ

    どうして彼女はこんなことをしましたか。

    ラーメンズ出てきませんけど。

    さすが、おもしろいです。

  • this is sooooo wrong that's why it's so funny.

  • i know that i am an ignorant fool, but does anyone know where a translated version is?

if not, then can anybody make one?

(i'm in high school and i promise to take japanese as soon as i can, so dont beat me up)

  • @verticallimitt so have you got translation of this video?

  • このビデオを見たい場合は、まず日本語を習わなければなりません。日本語がわからなければ、このビデオの理解ができません。

  • 日本語だけでなく、ある程度日本文化の知識も必要ですね。そうでないとこの冗談は通りません))

  • Quite a funny video, please take with a pinch of salt.

  • She is cute, damn!

  • In the way of tea, one has to calculate the perfect timing as well as angle, conducting self in a heartfelt manner to correctly predict without fail the mental arithmetics and mechanics required for tea making without appearing flustered.

    2:49

Once this ordeal is over, let's relax with some coffee! :)

    How was it?

This is Japanese tea. Any problem with that?

    --end--

Apologies for any mistranslation. My Japanese level under JLPT 2 standard.

  • I'm sure we hear "This is a tea whisk....It's a mystery" in there.

  • Whoops, it was further down.

  • (1:37) Pouring of the tea is to be divided into 3 times. Pour 30cc (no more, no less) for each of the three times. Blow gently. (1:54) Direct the air at a tangent point of 33 degrees towards the surface of the water, maintaining airspeed at 175m per minute. Repeat this three times, and the heat will dissipate. (2:12) NOW. Say "Ahh." Say also: "This is low quality tea but..." When recommending it to another party, say: "I've got skills."
  • (00:58) Japanese people will then scheme to achieve the moment of perfect 80 degree celsius. That is done by swirling the teapot. (01:07) This action serves to not only lower the temperature of the tea, the leaves will mix with the water to produce a 'tea-like' shade and a 'tea-like' smell as well. (01:18) Just like that, leave the pot alone for a few seconds. This is a tea whisk. (Cha-sen) The way to use this is.... .... a mystery. to be continued... (upwards)
  • Part 1:

Ocha - a popular form of Japanese drink. Naturally, it is to be drunk in the cafeteria and such.

Unfortunately, the correct way to make tea has been gradually forgotten. So, let's study.

    Example:

Take out the lid. Pour tea leaves until it reaches the lid. Empty contents into a small teapot.

    (00:44)

Get some hot water from the flask. From this point onwards, the water begins to cool.

Traditionally, it has been believed that tea at 80 degrees is the best.

    .. to be con't (upwards)

  • おいおい。

    嘘を教えるなよ

    お茶っぱを大量に入れて、80度が飲みごろなんて・・・。
