You might be better off with a belt driven saw blade and that motor, so if it binds it won't sheer the blade or throw it, just will burn the belt or slip it until you cut the engine.

u guys saying "it cud've flown of and killed u", realize that the hole is a lot smaller than the blade, and it would have to fly out away from you, bounce off of the tree, and hit u. now think of how probable it is for it to come off in the first place..anyway, i think u got an idea going there

You are wrong. I have a dual-blade deck on a riding mower, the blade opposite the grass exit fell off, hit the blade closest to the exit, and flew out from under the deck across the lawn and hit my buddy trimming. Crazier shit has happened.

Wow, that was... Dangerous. Those blades arent made to take that kind of stress. Your lucky it didnt shatter and kill you. Also, you could easily have bent your shaft, or broken your connecting rod.

If you got a normal mower blade in that mower, that is bloody dangerous. Believe me, I work with garden machinery at work. I have known a mower blade break one end off just from hitting solid objects hidden in grass, leaving the mower vibrate like bollocks. Not that you have taken much notice of anyone elses safety comments.
