As for me, my son is getting the cochlea implant on April 29 on his right side only as its profound and not giving him anything really with a HA. So thats pretty scarey... Not looking forward to it, ill be an emotional wreck on the day :( But hes tough and he will deal with it well so i just have to keep remembering its whats best for him in the long run.
@AussieMummySince07 I know he will do awesome for the procedure, it is really invasive but technology has improved and his healing time wont be that bad at all. and just imagine his little face with he gets that first sound on that side :D make sure to record his activation to show him later. They also have lots of cute covers and little clips and animal buddies you can decorate his CI with now a days :D take care hun and good luck to the little man
