  • no big deal

  • the gian does not seem worth the price... my laptop has 500gb hd... ssd is far too expensive for my liking. however i am interested in knowing how an ssd would be on batt life?

  • @matthias2986 same

  • which ones have what type of media in them?

  • well, the one that boots quicker would have ssd wouldn't it?

  • yea in theory, not as much of a difference as i had thought it would make,

I'm still waiting for flash ram sticks.

  • people seem to forget it's a combination of all of the components that makes a pc quick.

you could have the fastest ssd in the world but data might still bottle neck at the bus rendering the purchase a waste.

humurous, the number of people that buy cheap pc's and use the savings to get an ssd.

    silent bullets through numb feet.

  • yea ive got a pc i'm fixing up for playing my xp and older games,

I did want a new computer but l have had too make do with making one with old parts, although i have no option other too buy a new hard drive as the old one I've got is 12GB and I would fill that in before i even install any games.

    current specs :-(

    1.10ghz cpu

    512mb ram

    12gb hard drive

  • at the moment i'm using my poor old worn out laptop who i'm sure is looking forward too her retirement

ps anyway of checking the mother boards bus speed without having too look up the model number on the net.

  • should mention it in the BIOS.

  • cheers
