  • Layne Staley and Jerry Cantrell's vocal harmonies adds 1000000000000000000000000000x CREEPY factor.

RIP Layne and long live DOOM and QUAKE!

  • Boo!

    Play it without cheats.

    Much more fun.

  • doom 2 1994. them bones 1992.

  • I dont think this is the theme song of barrel o fun. :/ cuz i would recognize it either if it is.

  • Them Bones was released first. 1992 VS 1994.

And look it up - a LOT of Doom music was inspired by real music by bands including Slayer, Pantera, Alice in Chains, Metallica. Music designer knew how much he could sample without being sued.

  • @theomegaphoenix Thank you! Jeez, I'm sick of all of these ignorant fucks complaining that Doom "Stole" music. It seems like all of these morons are more outraged by the similarities than the artists actually (legally!) borrowed from.

  • That is definitely "Them Bones" at least a few riffs were copied, namely the chorus and verse.

  • it was level 23

  • Did you know that you could type iddqd, idkfa and idclip cheats just while playing, without the console, and it works?

I'm not cheating though, it makes it way too easy and boring.

  • cheater

  • lol old new beside you got it backwards

  • doom like AWESOME to play but bad graphics D:

  • I LOLED SO HARD

  • do a barrel roll XD

  • I thought I was crazy when I thought they were the same song...glad to hear somebody else heard this too

  • @eckomusic In fact that was on purpose, wikipedi-it and you'll se how John Romero (doom programer) uses riffs and chords from diferente metal songs (and one samba e1m2 doom2)

  • @pefjavier Ahh, I see, very cool

  • Degreelessness mode ftw.

  • Nice huge square rocket particles.

That's one thing Eternity does a lot better than ZDoom, i'd say.

  • damn! what a great song for killin shit! btw i hate arch vile! that yellow thing you whipped out bfg for

  • noclip ftw

  • Nothing new about it..

DOOM E3M1 is PANTERA - MOUTH FOR WAR..

  • @mimmacriz i love that one! ^_^

  • shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh dont tell anyone!

  • NIce to play with IDDQD??? lol I'm joking... I listened them bones and this soundtrack and are very similar... mmm...

  • Alice in Chains released Dirt in 1992 which featured Them Bones, Doom 2 came out in 1994.

  • ID software remade a few songs and put them in the game. I have a video with quite a few of the songs from the DOOM games compared to the real songs they were remade of!

  • I remember playing this level on the PSX version. I'd level warp to it on ultra violence and move a little so the walls would reveal a chaingun dude who would instantly blow himself up tryin to shoot me. I'd then collapse into laughter!

  • This has on GTA san andreas too!!!!!!

  • @51Guigo Indeed. On Vrock stat. I think

  • @TAURON85 Radio X :) from san andreas

  • @TITANUS008 yes yes, of course. VRock apears in VC. sorry

  • There's also a doom 2 midi-song thats sounds like the intro of Alice in Chains - Angry Chair, cant remember lvl id

  • @Deimos589 Level 25: Bloodfalls.

  • Wow the funny thing is that the doom song and Them Bones are EXACLY the same pitch! AND the same tempo! :O I tried playing them both at the same time it it actually sounded good! :D

  • Alice In Chains - Them Bones

  • they didn't stole the song, wikipedia it, doom , and bobby prince, he made it

( i mean, the songs for doom)

like e1m1 is from metallica-no remorse

  • Them Bones was released by Alice in Chains as part of the album "Dirt" in 1992. Doom 2 was released in 1994.

    etc

  • Alice In Chains Rulez!

  • If I was playing I won't use the GOD MODE

    :D I'm the best one

  • i dobnt think thats the idea of video :S

  • what is the idea of this movie ? :@

  • lmao thats awesome

  • ... Woah. hahahahaha. :D

  • I find it cool that Doom has used songs by Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, and Alice in Chains. I'm gonna have to make a mod that plays the real versions of all the songs Doom turned into polyphonic. Unless if someone else has done that, I would like to get that mod.

  • its vise versa john romero put this song in doom he got it from alice in chains its not an exact copy of the song but its similar and this goes for the majority of the songs in doom 1 & 2 they were inspired by real songs

  • It was Bobby Prince who made the music, not John Romero. Bobby Prince was also a lawyer, so he knew exactly how much of the original songs he could copy and not be accused of plagiarism.

  • I remember when my bro showed me ALICE IN CHAINS. I was like "WTF THAT IS FROM DOOM 2!!!!"

plus, Angry chair (lvl 26 music) is by alice in chains too.

  • holy crap i knew i had heard this from somewhere before, that wasn't from street fighter 2 animated or one of the gh/rockband games.

  • ID Software has many fact connected between games and real life. ID Software borrowed and adopted enough songs. You can check this. Search video ID Software stole music.

  • Well, Them Bones came out on the AWESOME album, "Dirt" in 1992. Doom 2 was released in 1994.

  • what lvl was that? wanna go check it out.

ive got zdoom with everything except master levels and doom3 wich im getin for bday

  • Barrels O' Fun. Can't remember lvl number.

  • @ChripDog Barrels O'Fun - Level 23 of Doom 2 Hell on Earth

  • @ChripDog

Barrels O' Fun level in doom 2 (lvl 23).

It is in your own description but people do never read... (and in this case the author even forgots ;p)

But Doom is known for using rock music as inspiration for their OST and it kicks ass. At least in my opionion cause there are a LOT of discusions going on if it is stolen or creativly borrowed, I go for option 2 ;).

  • @ChripDog Map23

  • map 23

  • @KayloMaster it's lvl 23

  • @KayloMaster map23

  • Whoa, forgot about this song, that is totally the same song, which came first?

  • Them Bones.

Doom "borrowed" several songs from metal artists

  • I remember this at the time. And i said 'fuck me, that's AIC'.

  • that's my favorite song from the whole Doom 2: Hell of Earth soundtrack ("American Pie", as Sandy P. called it.) I never realized the similarity/reference there lol! BTW that little console you had there was interesting - what is that, and how is that built into the game? I don't remember it being in the original - but it reminded me of the one in I think, Quake 2?

  • I believe it's Zdoom, or one of it's children ports

  • you got the right idea but its the other way around. the song in Doom 2 is idea'd from Them Bones since the song came out before the game

  • Yeah I know thats what I ment, sorry if it sounded like the other way lol

  • the same is true for "angry chair", it's used in another doom level

  • lol trolling is fun

  • omg i remember those codes!!! lol

  • id clip(er) iddqd idkfa and i think idbeholds im not sure but damn nice compare to the tracks man lol i loled hard

  • HAHA YOU A CHEATAAA

    iddqd

    idkfa

    LoL

  • Vanhornmj wins an internets. Well played.

  • There's another Doom track based on Pantera's 'Mouth For War'. Can't remember which...

  • E3M1 is based on Mouth for War.

  • Idea of John Romero, wasn´t it?

  • LOL

    IDDQD

    IDKFA

  • LOL wow i never noticed that

  • the makers of the game were fans of alice in chains and put the song in the game

  • The AIC song was first. Doom 2 ripped it from them.

  • @vanhornmj doom still got permission though.

when i first heard this in the game i was like "HELL YEAH"
