There is the element that are fanatics,those that are the hucksters,and there is the " damn lies and statistics " that each group will lead their charge with. The overwhelming peer-reviewed evidence that I have read and act on, is of a low-fat, plant-based diet and absence of grains being a sound start :-)

@overwhelmingtraffic They are full of essential nutrients, with a low environmental impact for commercial growing.
