@ClassicDragRace Power doesn't mean shit if it cannot be put to the ground and that's exactly what Valdemar is pointing out ... awd vs rwd. More traction equals less slipping means you go faster, quicker. On the other hand in circuit racing the rear-wheel drive cars tend to overcome with lighter weight and less under-steer which is cumbersome of most all-wheel drive and front-wheel drive cars. In this case though the Audi Quattro's history has proven itself in Rally, Circuit and Drag.

quattro does, what Nissans expensive electronic gearbox does, mechanically. Thats why I've got several quattros and drive them all. Cheap, easy, fast, strong, reliable. And they launch ridiculous. When you're in you're GTR what settings do you set you're diffs to? full lock?

I'm going to be cliche, however, skylines, Z's, Mitsu GTO, Supra's, and some Rex's. Audi's are great cars, i'm not disputing that. It's just when I point out the Audi is AWD, everyone flames me. Honda blows period. The only good car that deserves any respect from them is the NSX. Japanese vehicles are great cars. I know a guy with a TT Z with 350k miles with a stock motor and turbo's.

First, learn how to spell "mashine". Second, these cars are no where near 1000hp as previously stated. There was a number of factors that contributed to the Z's loss. The Z got a crap launch, the Audi most likely had higher HP, and lets not forget the Audi is AWD!!! Branding a Z as a ricer clearly shows your intelligence.

Info is from drivers? I'm not sure what that means but it doesn't support the fact that the car took off, sound like, and moved like a 600hp car. If it was 1100hp he would be trapping well over 150, probably high 160's based on the pwr, weight ratio and probably hitting low 9's on street tires.
