I actual first heard this song on Over her dead body, and found it to be very adictive, but I heard the black eyed peas version. This version is much better.

I think this is not the original version to 'Mas Que Nada' of Brazil 66. The original female singers of Brazil 66 were Gracinha Leporace, Brazilian and wife of Sergio, Rosinha de Valença and Wanda de Sá, all Brazilians. The singers here aren'tBrazilians (despite singing in Portuguese). The accent is high.

Actually, they are Lani Hall - future wife of Herbie Alpert - and Janis Hansen, who learned Mendes' Portuguese material phonetically.

Only Brazilians can notice that, of course.
