i forgot to say this in the previous ep but since work is equal to force times distance, if you made the distance greater than the meteor should have less force and not hurt the earth enough to destroy it like if it is 3 foot at 3 force than it would be 9 foot at one force or something like that

@carlichan21 that's bull. you're thinking of the w-item materia. this is the only way to obtain Bahamut Zero. It's not the end of the world if you don't have it. just means you'll have to rethink your strategy. Also means you can't gain Master Summon from the huge materia (there is still a way to get ONE and only ONE Master Summon though)

Because the planet isn't supposed to be Earth, it's a fictional planet called Gaia, and not every planet has a moon. Mercury and Venus have no moons at all.

The moon dose not protect the earth from asteroids. The atmosphere dose.

Sense asteroids move so fast, even the thin air in the upper atmosphere causes a lot of friction. This causes the surface of the meteors to nearly vaporize. However, with the largest meteors, the meteor will still have ample mass remaining by the time it hits ground.

The reason why the moon is so pockmarked with craters is because it dose not have an atmosphere.

Its true the atmosphere does protect from asteroids, but the moon also has its own gravitational pull, just like the earth and any other large mass. The moon can throw off or completely attract the majority of the smaller meteors that make their way to earth.

1): Meteor is so massive that, yes, its gravity is holding the massive pieces of it together. How there is electricity holding the bitch together is beyond me though.

2): The rocket crashing into meteor never had a snowballs chance in hell, because when you blow something up, It isn't destroyed completely, and then instead of one large crater, you get one very long meteor shower, with many asteroids. So you are still screwed.

3): and I don't know exactly how Bugenhagen's chair floats, but in that world, with materia and magic and everything else, I think they could figure a way to get something a little better than a wheel chair for the old guy.

Mr. Bailly makes fun about the futility of stopping Meteor, but I gotta say, with it constantly looming in the world map, it's a GREAT motivator for me to keep playing to try and stop it. In a few other FFs I haven't understood as well what the world threat is so I've just kind of been along for the ride in those games. Which is not to say I didn't love those rides, no no!

Well...meteor IS summoned by magic, so it's not a stretch past the already ridiculous cosmic summon notion that it would be able to piece itself back together ---> it was probably materialized out of thin vacuum space from the start.

Well were diving into unfamiliar territory for me until the end of disc 3 (one of the demo discs I had in an old PS1 mag came with powersaves that are near the end of the game FF7 was one of them and my Characters were just over WoWs level cap)
