Why bother being indie, if you're going to use your freedom to make the world's billionth 2D platform action game? Well, it looks like you've done a nice job with this one. If it's as fun and challenging as it is pretty, then maybe it's worthwhile. Still, you indie developers seem to be short on imagination....
@Bananadine Well lets face it, there is absolutely no shortage of first person shooters from big developers, and no short of puzzle games from popcap... I'm a big fan of platformers, and as long as people keep coming up with creative ways to make them different, then I'm fine.
And yes, there are a million platformers, and yes many of them are exactly the same, but the same can be said for First Person shooters, Rts, RPGs... The fact is for every good genre game there are fifty games that suck.
@himansku Sure, sure. Rock music is pretty well explored by now, but I still listen to new rock music. I like it fine.
But music is old, and has enough branches to appeal to anybody. Video games are too young to settle for what few things they can do now! Most of these Mario-type games barely even use the hardware. To make such a game is to say, "I love Mario-type games." Which is fine! But it is also to say, "I'm not especially interested in modern computers." Which is... okay, but kinda sad.
It would be nice if we could buy this game through steam. Does any one know how this low budget "indie" games come to steam. Do you have to pay them so they start selling and advertising your game, or does steam have this indie scouts that find the developers and give them the offer they can't refuse.
That looks very special, and seems to set a mood similar to folklores about deep forests, fairies and trolls. That's wonderful, and the music in this new trailer suits that very nicely.
Those furry troll-like beings with glowing eyes look especially awesome, I think.
Why do people say limbo, its film noir graphics yes but limbo didnt have any fighting or color for background.

Looks like it could be fun. A bit TOO similar to Limbo visually to come out right now though, I think.
