  • Please, do not connect this empty headed bitch with real Bulgarians

  • Keeping and promoting such ignorant, impudant and deciteful people around him is a fast way to trouble and loss of people's trust for every primeminister. If Borisov wants to be trusted and reelected - he surely must avoid the mistakes of his predecessors.

  • what's this in english?

VIP Dance.

  • Her teeth are a bit horse-like, but otherwise she has a pretty hot body for her age. Perfectly suitable for bending her over her desk and banging her. Thats the only use a EU commissioner should have anyway.

  • She has chuzpe.

    A ot of chuzpe.

  • And the song some MEPs were heard humming was:

Nellie the Elephant packed her trunk

And said goodbye to the circus

Off she went with a trumpety-trump

    Trump, trump, trump

Nellie the Elephant packed her trunk

And trundled back to the jungle

Off she went with a trumpety-trump

    Trump, trump, trump

  • Let me insure you that the English I picked up from Borat did not cost me a full bag of pubic hair. I have every documents and every informations (3:53) to show the hair was not a huge amount and it were no active lice on it.

LMAO in Bulgaria - at least we make good wine...

  • Its good jeleva withdrew. It shows that Borisov and his little party is weak. Now Borisov can now shut the fuck and hide in his hole.

  • Definitely, I cannot imagine her on any MEP position; lack of fluent English and structured replies is huge drawback for her.

  • @nnxnnx

So more the half of the candidates are incompetent.

To me that number seems far too low.

  • I really don't understand why are you mashing on her so hard? for peeps sake did you hear that french moron? what kind of english did he speak? And would say she answered the questions accurately, if you want more info there are the documents, have a read!

  • Leave it, dude ... We bulgarians have the bad habit to talk sick about our own people when someone of them succeeds -.- Take Berbatov for example. The guy got accepted in Man United goddamn it! Before he went there he was our hero, and when he did half of Bulgaria said he cant play, he is an asshole, he betrayed his country and stupid things like this ...

  • she dodges the Swedish guy's question in a very poor manner... obviously unprepared and not ready for the challenges of this position...

  • It is not the EU's fault that Bulgaria's mafioso PM picked this mafia bride for the job. If, on the other hand, after all this the European Parliament ends up voting her in, I would definitely agree with your judgment.

  • The title of the video is wrong; it should read:

"Rumiana Jeleva makes another pathetic attempt to make any sense after EU hearings, leaves the entire press corps ROTFL."

  • From what I've read and heard, I believe the majority of Bulgarians are shocked and appalled by this mumbling idiot and her arrogant behavior.

  • Correct!

  • BULGARIANS FTW a i hora nie ownvame sichki

  • DISASTER!!!!! I'm just speechless....

  • Come on, we can't agree to have such incompetent people for commissioners! This is a shame for Europe. We must be able to influence these politicians and tell them that it's impossible to treat us as idiots and use our money to play their games.

  • Why don't you comment on the babble of the previous Bulgarian commissioner - Kuneva - smoothly speaking sweet nothings - but she ws supported by the EU partners of the Bulgarian Commies.

  • Why? Is it going to make Jeleva as a candidate appear any better? Stop taking this party politics BS. We all lose when clowns are put in charge of real jobs.

  • The 5-6 months of office for Jeleva should have sounded an alarm. Even in Bulgarian, her comments to the press have sounded little more than common babble. Shame for our ministry.

  • I can't understand why she chose to speak English when her German is brilliant. She could have resorted to Bulgarian with an interpreter. Why don't you read her CV and the list of her publications first? A. Purvanova behaved like the communist she is! Kuneva - a comunnist's daughter-in-law. Ring bells? How about the English baroness - laughable. Jeleva sold the company before applying. The fact that that she possessed a company only proves her capable of managing things! Can't we defend ourselv

  • Her ability to manage 'things' is kind of put into question by the fact that she 'can't remember' how much she got from selling this one company.

Doesn't she keep a paper trail? Sounds like dodgy management to me.

  • The Brusselles weekly "New Europe" came out with a statement that they have the documents clearing her name - she sold the ompany at its nominal value without a profit. She didn't seem to expect an attack from colleagues from Bulgaria and this might have confused her - I just want to give her the benefit of the doubt. I also did some reading about her and her "attackers" - it helps to make your own conclusions - a short video doesn't seem enough for me, at least.

  • If I sold a company and got no money for it, I'm pretty sure I would remember that - but then again, my name is not Rumiana Jeleva.

  • I am equally ashamed of Jeleva's utmost incompetence and shocking arrogance when confronted about her questionable (to say the least!) personal conduct, and of her party minions' willingness to cover up the whole fiasco and pretend everything's fine. No, as a Bulgarian and EU citizen I simply refuse to accept this person as my representative in the European Commission. There are many potential candidates in Bulgaria who'd be a thousand times better than this tragic bimbo. Get her out, NOW!

  • I have to agree that Mrs. Jeleva's hearing was a disaster. Also she was unable to defend herself in appropriate way. BUT: the whole briefing there seemed to be not to hear what does she know or can do, but to debate on her existing or not existing company. Shame on who? Otherwise the picture seems to be this: Nobody coming from a little country-member of the EU must have not got any company, because the owner might have interests in spheres where other EU parliament members have too.

  • Give me a brake with that "Shame on us" and anti-Bulgarian racism.

George W Bush spoke less English than her and led the Free world for 8 years. Shame on who?

Just a stupid politician - point one country that doesn't have them....

  • Bush led the 'coalition of the willing', that's a little different from the free world - at least in my books.

  • It's a shame!!! Where is the professionalism? Where is her f***ing dignity?!! I am ashamed she is a representing my country...

  • bgturk, there are no Bulgarian Turks. There are Bulgarians and there are Turks. There are Bulgarian Muslims - an ethnic minority in Bulgaria. Is that clear now to you? Otherwise I have to agree with your media-related comment.

  • She cannot remember how much she sold her company for? LOL! Thank you European media for doing the job of the Bulgarian media and exposing the corruption in this government.

  • I used to believe that all authority is unjust authority. But lately I concluded that there MUST be some authority, otherwise no work will be done. The problem is not in authority itself, it's in the authorities. Of course we're shit - your authority consists of former policemen, "businessmen" (most often thugs and drug dealers) and people with uncertain jobs.

Authority should be in the hands of hard workers, scientists and leaders should be more than just people with financial power!

  • Excellent comment!

  • If half of our ministers are just like her, OMG.

  • so you sit down, and write a statement, and get the crowd around to read a statement that says nothing at all. I have not heard anything concrete and substantial from her so far. And she keeps avoiding the one question she was hammered on, several times. Not only she is not prepared, but she also does not learn anything along the way, so we can't even hope she'll get better than that. It's a shame for Bulgaria, and the first big failure of Boiko Borisov.

  • I wonder if she will remain Minister of Foreign Affairs of BG. I hope she has at least a bit of dignity left...

  • Lol mate be sure she'll do everything possible to remain on that possition ... she is Bulgarian (no difnity at all :)

  • Come on now you all! Bulgaria is not the only country with corrupted politicians. Every country has this problem too. Please do not forget if USA for example had no corruption they would not be able to begin any of all the wars they have began in the past. Where do you think all the money came from? The money for weapons? Every one of the big European economics has twice bigger corruption practices than Bulgaria. But they all stay quiet when some of those practices got found by the publics!

  • Yes indeed, however our pilitician issues are multiplicated per 3.

  • @laxima No one says there's corruption only in Bulgaria; unfortunately there's everywhere. But in Bulgaria it reaches such a level that all cohesion funds from the EU to Bulgaria have been frozen and that hasn't happened ever before in the history of the EU. So, instead of taking it as a personal/nationalistic attack, put pressure on your politicians so that they steal less and have the funds unfrozen for the benefit of their citizens.

  • Jelevaaaaaaaaa,

my d**k can answer better to any questions.

have you sold it for how much?

the EU is asking you should have known

you sound like a over up

    "high level exercise" wtf

hope they get the military minister - at least he speaks english properly

and yes corruption is high in bg

    hope this improves

  • She is reading already prepared speech. Nice and well.

Then she declares confident that she will have many opportunities!

Why? Because she presented her knowledge and professional Answers!!! LOL !!!!

    Why are you so confident!?!

Because I think my answers are very professional and very brilliant!!!! LOL !!!!

  • horrible

  • I read somewhere that out of all the EU states, Bulgaria has the highest rate of corruption...

  • Bulgaria has lots of corruption and this is an extremely serious issue. On the other hand, countries like Italy and Greece have even higher levels of corruption.

  • that was painful! :D

  • Uhm, interesting.

Concrete cases of (would-be) corruption in the Eastern Member States aren't often talked about in Western media.
