im sorry, but i dont really like kyle riabko, well from what i've seen on youtube. i saw hunter parish in NYC and he was amazing, i was blown away, but kyle riabko seems very much like he's trying to be a pop-star and that's just not what SA is. i love the show insane amounts, dont get me wrong, but my dream Melchior has more depth.

I hate that people keep bashing him by watching these videos. He's not in the show here. He's performing as a pop star, not Melchior. When you see him as Melchior, he's not doing this. He's doing it much more 'musical-theatre'. And as far as depth goes, he had the best interpretation of the character and overall acted it better than any other Melchior, in my opinion.

i saw it in houston yesterday too!! ... and today! it was so good i had to go back... i actually thought it was better than the original cast... in my opinion... of course it might have been kyle's ass that did the trick! ;-) LOL!!

Just saw the show in Houston. Was blown away by it! Kyle was fantastic, not to mention the rest of the cast. Wish I had met him and others like the person who commented below(rugged64). Kinda jealous u know.

I've not seen him in the show (yet! I have tix for the US tour in feb), but... from what I've heard of him I really don't like his voice as melchior. The reason I liked Groff a lot was that he just had this inate believability with the songs. Riabko sounds like he's just singing the songs. He might have the character in the show, I can't say. But I don't like what I've heard of him thus far.

I actually just saw him in Houston like 5 hours ago and he absolutely killed this song! It was was breath-taking, lie. I don't really like this recording of him singing this song... but when he sings it in the theatre while in character it's just amazing!! You won't be dissappointed!
