This is such a beautiful song. Every time I hear it, it sounds just as beautiful as it did the first time I ever listened to it. I love Dragonlance so much. ^.^
the movie slaughtered the elven city.....the homes were trees with windows pretty much.....not like in the books with the great white marble tower of the sun built by the dwarves that i had hoped....yet the music is what kept me watching it
yeah that part sucked, so did the fact that different animations were used. In my opinion they did an okay job on the draconians, they were done almost perfectly like how I envisioned them while reading the book.
Whoops soz wrong comment on the wrong vid. This is pretty cool, this is it ?elven? sounds a whole lot better that J.J.R Token or watever, u no the guy that wrote lord of the rings??
actually, ummm...this is not a actual language. They just have a couple of scentences, most of which sound vaguely latin and english.
JRR Tolkein actually wrote a whole original lanugage along with a grammar structure, so if this sounds better, it's because they just chose random sounds, whereas Tolkien actually mapped out the history of the langugae.
No, you're absolutely right. And there's a definite beauty to Tolkien's Elvish, if one takes the time to learn how to pronounce it (which can be done in fairly short time).
To be fair to Tracy & Co, Tolkien's language was not entirely original either. It had elements of older languages. Quenya, his main elvish, is based on greek, finnish, and latin, and his grey-elf Sindarin language was based a lot on Welsh. His writing system for his elvish languages was based largely on brahmic writing (like tibetan), the nice thing being it can be used to write more than just elvish. It can be used to write many latin-derived languages.
I like the music. It is very good. but I'm still a wee bit skeptical about the movie. I want to see it but I still don't know if it will join the rest of my collection.
The music in this movie is great,But thats where anything good in this movie ends.Let me put it straight here. This Show Sucks!I found myself angry through most of it.I would rather watch the old DND TV series show than this.Don't get me wrong here I love the books. But this show really hurts.Save your money and just rent it trust me.
Maby this will be a big hit despite its...er...crappy-ness, and they'll do a real movie! *sigh* Yea, I know, it's never going to happen. But I can dream, can't I?
Compare how many dragonlance books their are to Lord of the rings...I know that tolkien has passed on...but if Tracey and Margaret realized how popular their dragonlance world is...maybe a REAL movie would be made. "Sigh" at least this is a first attempt
This song is better than anything in the LOTR's movies, and I love the use of the stars (awsome). The feel of the movie seems to be more magical than Peter Jacksons dry LOTR adaptation.(Dont have a horror film maker make a fantasy!)In this film the caracters animation doesn't look right but the background art is awsome and the music is perfect. One can only hope that with Margaret and Tracy being involved with the screen play that any changes made will be done properly.
Monday Oct. 22 The Dragonlance Movie website will be premering the "rough" trailer that was shown at Gen Con. WooHoo!!! Finnally something a lil more tangeable! :)

Holy crap. I've been waiting for this movie since the rumors way back in the last 90s. The music sounds so beautiful, can't wait for the OST to be released. This is going to be a really good movie, as I love the DragonLance novels.

You can find them in the Dragonlance Book: The Inn of Last Holmes. It has this song and a few others. Some of them even have the music scores.

If you like this and the books(which are amazing) just buy the soundtrack. It comes out this month, don't bother with the movie... Haha.

Very well done, I hope the music will outweigh the animiations.
I also hope they don't plan on using this for the hymn sung at the close of the day in Qualinesti, because I don't think the lyrics are the same.

Almost cried when I heard that the first time - I journeyed first with these characters many years ago, when I was still at school... :)
Always hoped I would meet them again, but you know how books are... :(
