@yeledemeouave thank you, i'd use it, but won't work with my fo2 version (its from steam). I receive a message from the f2 res patcher.exe, telling me "Unrecognized Data Found! fallout 2.exe may not be the correct version. Patch has NOT been installed! Installation terminated. Looks like, that's my version is newer, but at starting the game, i became horrible pixel errors?! Any help is appreciated.

For the pixels thing, open the taskmanager and close explorer.exe after launching the game, when closing the game, just ctrl alt del then launch explorer.exe.

It works with every possible game that have the pixelisation issue.

@deadfishy666 Look, I don't get it, I really respect classic computer games, some of my favorite games of all time are games like Monkey Island and Maniac Mansion, but fallout and fallout 2 aren't as great as everyone says. Nastalgia is blinding. In the first 2 fallout games, commutes are murderous and annoying as all hell, every 2 steps I have to fight 6-12 raiders or a swarm of radscorpions, I have to save 100 times a minute for fear of dying 2 steps from finally reaching vault city, etc. etc.

@Zeppelinliveon Nostalgia is not when you play the old game for the first time. It is when you are for example an adult and play a game you used to play as a kid.

Go in options and set the difficulty to easy when you load your game, take your time and enjoy in what F2 can offer. Oh and try Tactics, it`s a last good Fallout title. ;)

Great dialogue, great story line, and it was actually difficult to play. Caesar and JHE are such shallow and vapid antagonists compared to The Master.

That's an amazingly biased view. I loved Oblivion, and for it's time it was amazingly advanced. It still is in my opinion. If you're gonna bash a game, bash it for the right reasons. Fallout 3 was not as good as Fallout 1&2 because it departed too greatly from set locations of the originals. It also took liberties with some of the Fallout canon.

Why don't you take a look at some of the screens from Van Buren, and tell me that graphical upgrades weren't planned?

It' amazing that Cassidy, Sulik, and Marcus all did burst fire without butchering each other.

I took Sulik's 10mm SMG away from him after about 3 or so fights simply because he'd manage to kill myself or another companion every time.

And don't even get me started on Marcus. Once I charged headlong into a group of Deathclaws simply beause he had 15 HP left to give him a super stim pack only for him to kill me with a minigun burst his next turn.

@tetrisclock go to their combat control go to custom"burst" be ABSOLUTLEY SURE NOT TO HIT ME" highlight that and when your in the shot they wont fire hope that helped... me personally this is my charecter build( i love it) SPECIAL is 4.6.7.6.7.9.1 then chose "heavy handed and gifted the gifted will raise every 1 of your special by 1 but u dont get as much points but thats ok i nthe long run (page 1)

@tetrisclock the tag these skills "stealm lockpick, unarmed, easy to steal stimpacks ammo and goods from players also lockpick helps endgame and unarmed ill explain later... now the reason you start the game with 5 strength is this..ADV power armer +4 strength(you now have 9 ) then become a citizen with vault citizen theres a strength module in the 2nd level(u need 8 strength to open that door) go back to sanfran now your strength is 10)

@tetrisclock ehhh the last 1 i send is number 2 this is 3...imo start the game off this way...head to broken hills shovel crap for 500 then travel north get cassidy go to klamath get sulik go south to sanfran go to the tanker go to mark(i think his name is) i nthe north easter side and SAVE!!! steal the m72 rifle then save again steal the ammo thats cassidy number 1 weapon!!!!!!!!!!!(ammo is rare but he hits so hard that he doesnt waste it at all my guy has over 400 rounds and hasnt run out

@tetrisclock when you get sulic and cass back go back to sanfran go back to mike save ........isnt his name matt?..... owell....anyways...save beforeu talk cause when u level theres a chance yoru team will level aswell(easy way to get fast levels is reloading your level points) so now your level 7 your 1st 2 perks should be

awareness, (sees detailed specifics hp and weapons on friends and enemies also ammo count) and bonus move(2 free spaces for movement)

@tetrisclock ok now u can quest....in my game i have cassidy)guass rifle) sulike(super sledge) myself(mega power fist) marcus(the lazer rifle fro mthe brother hood) thats it...everyone else isnt worth the time and effort to train when you reach 24 you get"slayer" all your unarmed hits will be crits...my reg punch is 2 AP(6 hits) or 3(aimed) i have 12 aps from 2 action boys.........hope i helped

i have a question, im getting the fallout pack (not fo3 the others) and i wanted to know what the best rifle and pistol was for a player that just starts the game... and also can you build or have somone build robots like the robobrain you had? and also do the enclave show up in fallout 1?

Well first of all, weapons have minimum strengths, most seem to be at 5, if you don't have the minimum strength, you suffer a fairly small penalty to dmg or accuracy I forgot which, so choose that as your starting strength, and choose the GIFTED and SMALL FRAME traits, they are the best. In Fo2 I recommend you get the RESTORATION PROJECT, it fixes a ton of bugs in the game and adds in a ton of new content, and allows you to access all the endings of the game. Start with the 10mm pistol ifyoucan.

Its on PC, and it is far superior to Fo3, because it doesn't try to be a "Hybrid", its just an RPG, Fo3 tried to combine the RPG elements of these old games with FPS elements, but the RPG elements are no where near as good as in this game, dialog isn't as good, and the story isn't as good. And the FPS elements are real shitty compared to games like CoD.

I added in the UT sounds, its funny that people boast about the gore in Fo3 when it's deaths are no where near as cool as in this game, I mean its just cookie cutter in Fo3, you see the same limb fly off at the exact same point on the persons arm every time, it just gets really boring, in the old Fallouts, they weren't dynamic, but they are way cooler than in Fo3, like half somebodies body gets hit, or their chest up flies off or they get a hole in the middle of their body etc.

This is Fallout 2, and don't get me started on what a travesty Fallout 3 is to the Fallout franchise, I'm not saying it's a bad game, its core mechanics are AWFUL, but it somehow manages to be fun, Fallout 3 that is, the FPS and RPG elements are both broken, and are clumsy. Fallout 1+2's SPECIAL and Skill systems are way more powerful in the old games, in Fallout 3, they do barely nothing.
