for 1, the Driver Signature Enforcement Overrider is the worst program ever,I have never had such LAG with my win7 64bit till after the first restart, and after doing all that it diddn teven work. also for parts where your not sure try figuring it out before you make a tutorial?

@NPHaintgay I don't know what to tell you. DSEO doesn't cause lag. You may want to do a virus check or get more ram.

Also, I don't think it's advisable to comment on other peoples tutorials when you yourself don't have a single video up on your channel...try contributing to the community before doing so, or you loose all credability.

@janX9 hey man, i really need your help i got it installed and its working perfect, but the calibration is not working, my tv is a 42 inch and what i did was i taped the sides of the sensor bars left and right of my tv and its not calibrating! and i yet to try top to bottom but i know it won't work, can you make a calabration tutorial, please!

Hi there. I am running 64 bit windows and believe i have installed all drivers and such via this video. The device was successfully installed and operational. However, my gun is not functioning as as it should. I have a hunch it is a hardware issue as the laser sight does not turn on. Any tips or tricks? I'm using a laptop, could my usb ports not have enough power, or did i get jipped and get a defective gun?

@rahnubis9 Sometimes when I plug in my gun the laser doesn't work either, so I have to unplug it then plug it back in. It happens in W7 and WXP too. Although most of the time it works flawlessly. Also on occasion I forget to turn on the pointer with the pointer switch located on the left LOL

My only other tip for you is that it is designed to automatically turn the pointer off if not pointed at the screen, as once you are out pointing of range of the lightbar the laser will turn itself off.

@rahnubis9 .....oh on more idea. Make sure you're using USB 2.0 for the gun, not the old USB 1.1.

The Light Bar will work fine on USB 1.1 as it is a simple LED device, but the gun may need USB 2.0 to function properly.

I just purchased a guncon2 for use on vista 32. Following the printed instructions fails to install driver with this error:

"Windows cannot initialize the device driver for this hardware. (Code 37)" in the device driver.

Do you know of any solutions?

@robinhossain I haven't really played with guncon2 or Vista that much but Code 37 sounds like a driver issue. I've gotten a Code 37 in the past actually.

The driver returned a failure when it executed the DriverEntry routine. Uninstall and reinstall the driver. And you may want to do a restart after you uninstall the driver, before re-installing it, just in case.

This error pops up when there is a driver issue.

Did you try to install the XP drivers onto W7 or W7 drivers onto XP? It's is my assumption that you got the wrong set of drivers. But if you DID use the proper drivers on the proper operating system, then I suggest re-downloading the drivers again (perhaps they were corrupted in the file transfer). Uninstall the drivers and try re-installing the newly downloaded ones. And do some restarts too.

Also, make sure your EMS TopGun II is set to "PS2/PC" not XBoX

And just a few things off the top of my head if it still isn't working... ... ...make sure windows is up to date, with service packs and such.

Try using a different USB port. Often the ports on the FRONT of a PC are USB 1.1 and the ones on the back are 2.0, so I avoid using the front ports

Try unplugging the force feedback wires, as this uses more power

@Robin444C Really? That's strange? I'm running W7 x64 Ultimate and this works for me and many others. Also worked on my old XP Pro x32.

Did you read all the comments on my video, as I've made suggestions for fixes to other people here. One may help you.

Also I would suggest you to copy the drivers it to your Windows system 32 folder. I remember when I was using XP that the gun always asked where the drivers were every time I plugged it in, until I manually copied them to that folder.

@janX9 well i am using windows seven x86 with is the 32-bit version and also yeah i read and did everything correct it will not connect or reconize the gun i have tried many many times and i got nothing, and yes i downloaded the drivers from your website that you suggest 1.st i put in test mode assign hidmini.sys with the folder url then did the same with the hidgunsys or whatever please i really need help why won't it reconize on my windows seven? or xp

@Robin444C Because you're using X86 then I would use the XP drivers not the X64 drivers.

Also copy all the following files to Windows>system32>drivers and ALSO copy them to Windows\System32\DriverStore\F­ileRepositoy\hidtopgun.inf_amd­64_neutral_d70db795dbf6ebf1 (last folder may be \hidtopgun.inf_amd32...). See if that works, if not then use driver signature override on the drivers again.

If not, try putting your driver files into WINDOWS>SYSTEM32>DRIVERS folder and use driver signature override on the drivers. If this doesn't work let me know as I have maybe one more idea.

Often the USB ports on the front of a computer are USB 1 not 2. I'm not sure why they do this. Even my computer, has USB 1.1 on the front. Try some other USB ports :)

@urizen95 I think I read on the official website that you can, and that you only need one lightbar for both guns, but I would double check just in case my memory doesn't serve.

I only have one though, so I haven't tried first hand.

Absolutely! My aim is 100% dead on accurate. were my laser points is exactly were it shoots. Generally I shoot from about 8-10 feet from the screen, and it works perfectly.

If your aim isn't perfect after following these steps, then there might be a light source that is interfering with the gun. If this is the case try using a program called "LCD Image" that is either on your Drivers disc that came with your EMS or on the official website.
