What is real Jitte, remember Shotokan,Shotokai, Wado etc are all from original Okinawan karate so please do not confuse what is right and what is wrong kata.
That's Toi-gye-hyung (hyong) in classical resp. -tul in ITF TKD. Also, hyungs 3-5 are "remixes" of the Heian/ Pinan katas (which in turn were split off from Kushanku and maybe another, and in early Taekwon-do and Tang soo do were called Pyung-ahn-hyung); Tan-gun-hyung is based on Taikyoku shodan; Po-eun-hyung comes from Tekki/ Naihanchin, and maybe more connections i don't yet know.
...But it's difficult to say HOW, WHY, and WHAT FOR the changes were implemented by gen. Choi hong-hi & others. Ego, actual new insights, adaptation to military pragmatism and/ or to their different culture...? pretty deep research subject, any help is welcome! :-)

This is the Shotokan Jitte. Refer to Okinawan Kyudokan Jitte for the more original kata

@nate2908 Real Jitte is Okinawan Jitte. This one is born of ignorance and generally laughable.

i love watching the old karateka do kata. it's always so much more fluid and organic.
Does taekwondo also do this form? i recall a taekwondo kata that looks much like this..
