hey, nice vid but i have one question - if i type daventry into the GPS and put VOr lock on it follows the pink line to daventry VOR. Thats all well and good but what do you do to get it to circle Daventry / enter a hold over Daventry?
hey i have a question. i know in the default GPS i can find the aprox routes but i want to know if i can find the departure routes of each airport, i would like to take off by the correct way, thank you
If The Transition Altitude is Les Than 5,000 feet yes All London Airports have a transition altitude of 6,000 feet menaing all altitude above 5,999 feet is a flight level you can see what the transition of an airfeild is on a chart. You change your QNH to 1013 when cleared to flight level when climmbing and set it to local qnh when give with altitude in feet when arriving Hope that makes sense
ILS stand for Insturment Landing System in low visibilty it is demanaory all pilot use this type of auto pilot to safely guide the plane down to the runway then once over the runway the will disengage the landing system and put the plane down manually Hope this helped
yeees man me too. his accent is so annoying you cant understand everything. he speaks like you begged him to help you with this and said ok i'll help you but he is bored ROFL
I have got rid of all the defaul fsx aircraft skins and replaced them in cfg with real life airline skins, even in muliplayer. I have also turned the aircraft traffic up to high in the FSX settings
Would you please be kind enough to give me a detailed explanation how? I'd like to put Air France, KLM, Easy Jet, British Airways etc. But will it affect my Computer?(Lag, Low FPS etc.)? If so, then dont tell me how, just reply that it does. And if it doesnt, I'd be glad to hear how to replace them. PM me if you want.
hey damian can you respond to me. so you use the gps to turn your plane and line up the runway like 20 mile back then you use ils? because im like 20mile not in front of the runway i turn hdg to the runway heading and it turn my plane somewhere else
fly towards the runway, for examply runway 33 at EGBB ils freq 110.100 15 miles out heading towards the runway, turn gps switch off to NAV then press APP in the auto pilot this will bring you in with the ILS & Glide the glide brings you down to the runway, hth damian
Thanks a billion for your video, Do you have to use the runaway heading to make this video you've shown successful? or is it optional? 5* Im subscribing !
One addition, when you look at the Airport page for the ILS freq, you can press the Cursor, scroll down to the ILS hit enter, then when you go to the Nav radio it will already be populated in the NAV1 standby freq of just move it into the active. I also put it into NAV2, then you can track the location on approach using the ADF.
cant followzzzzzz lol

reedy111111111111111 1 year ago
so when you enter the waypoints in does the aircraft fly on its own or do you have to follow atc rules.

NEGATIVE 50,000 IS FL500
DAMIAN483 2 years ago
no 50,000 is FL500, FL50 is 5,000ft due to QNH transition altidudes.
DAMIAN483 2 years ago 2
@DAMIAN483
it is not called FL50, it is called FL050
timothyinthehouse 1 year ago
@DAMIAN483 They don't use "FL" when its below 18,000 feet. So, 5,000 feet isn't supposed to have "FL" in front of it.

whats the use of ILS please reply? why ILS, whats the ILS job?
alyelhadad 2 years ago
@alyelhadad
Using ILS you can practically land the plane by itself. It will line the plane up with the runway for you and control the glide.

This isnt a video for VOR holds. this is a video on how to tune a VOR up on the GPS and letting the GPS enter and maintain a hold.
You'll never be asked to hold and not be given a heading ie. hold westbound or hold inbound on whatever fix.
