  • I like 3-D animation and flash has it's place, but quite honestly I miss classically animated movies.

  • she is wrong. people dont like it just because how much money the company has or who is running it. saying people like it because of the media is foolish because the MAIN reason people love pixar movies is because of the story of the movie. they always have a solid story to fall in love with. when they started out they were flat broke, but because their movies were soo good, people paid to see them.

  • I don't know what they are talking about. They are good because, its the renaissance of CG animation. Just like the in the early 20's when 2-D animated shorts were taking hold of the theater.

Also, Animated films, features, and shorts have always been big as long they could convey a solid story. They both seem slow and incompetent in the animation field.

  • I... I kind of... attribute it... ... to me

    lol

  • mrs Hellen Fox is too foxy

  • hi everybody :D im AmericansSuckEggroll (no pun intended) but im a noob who just started making videos three weeks ago, & i've already have 31 subers???? if u like fun or crude humors, come to my channel :D Eggroll Peace~!

  • Pixar's movies are some of my favorites. and i'm 30 years old. i think it has more to do with the fact that the generation that is most into movies now grew up watching them. not that they are the ones in power. they are just a target audience.

  • Wow this was terrible just terrible. Her knowedge in animation is as much as an ant knowedge in algebra. First animation movies seeing animation only for kids point of view is only in USA. Second the birth of animation was directed to adults, not untail WW1 when most of there viewer where gone did the animation companies in america changed the audience group to kids. The only reason waltz of Bashir was done in animation was to target a younger audience not kids but teenagers

  • This reveiw sucks really bad. one the lady is slouching and stuttering, making it very unappealing to watch... and.. just the content is hardly interesting like some crappy documentary that you'd expect to watch in a middle schoo history class. :I

  • This woman is a ditz.

"They are good because they make lots of money."

    Chicken? Egg?

  • pot, kettle, black

  • @Richardgwm She was talking about why they've been making them so much. You've taken the quote WAY out of context.

  • makes sense since with the revenue they make they can put into their new movies, upgrade graphics , new voice overs and all together be able to fund each movie

  • This is for lame brains who would pile every on-screen effect under the category of "animated films". Does a mere screen effect qualify as 'animated'? Who animated it? Nobody. Same goes for motion capture devices. Who animated them? Nobody.--Computer people design computer tools, and then lucky-bastard film makers and actors take all the credit. But real animators (both 2D & 3D) have to study life and plan out and do everything themselves. You disrespect both the animators & the programmers!

  • Are you referring to Waltz with Bashir? That definitely had actual animation.

  • @giascle Oh, thanks for the comment, I didn't mean to target Waltz...Bashir--I'm not familiar enough with it. But I was also speaking more generally with regard to what qualifies as 'animation'. It's just my opinion, but I tend to believe people do animation, while computers do automation--but I'm not knocking the value of working with any technique, I'd just like for somebody to acknowledge when there is a difference.

  • I know what you mean; whenever I say I want to be an animator (and a 2D one, at that), now people inevitably ask HEY DID U SEE AVTAR TAHT HAD GUD AMINATIN RITE

  • @giascle omg i fucking love avatar i seen like 3 episodes on tv once durring a marathon and fell in love and downloaded the whole series

  • No the movie with the blue aliens

  • ellen fox is stuttering a lot...I think she has the hots for the host guy ;

  • the best animated movie would be a team fortress 2 movie based on the meet the team series

  • I kinda like the animated movies with real people in it.

  • @iknowadog you mean live action animation

  • I wanna punch this dude and this chick, then I wanna see her titties.

  • @ FutureFrontLA You may have some anger control issues there.

  • shes hot

  • waltz with bashir was good.

  • Very good!

  • she didnt really explain anything....

  • @drftme who cares, shes beautiful

  • Monsters vs. Aliens was horrible!

    I died.

  • it sucked

  • Comment removed

  • monsters vs. aliens sucked

  • I hate them except toy story

  • Monsters vs aliens was a great movie i loved it

  • up was epic too!

  • the best part!

He's a guy! See? Look at his boobies!

  • I've long felt that it was pre-boomers (and quite a few boomers themselves) who've always gone on to claim that cartoons were for kids. Following generations have pretty much call BS on that ever since growing up. Than again they showed Bugs Bunny in front of movies in the 40s didn't they?

  • As nice as this video was, this critic needs to do more research before-hand. Waltz with Bahsir was only nominated for best foreign film and animation is NOT a genre, it's a medium of filmmaking that can make any film of any genre.

  • I think with animation its just easier to get your foot in the door and work independently without the confines of 'film'. Plus people just love seeing imagined worlds.

  • technology, SON!

  • i like bugs bunny myself

  • And not to mention how much easier it is to be creative environment- and character wise when you use 3D graphics.
