None! As a matter of fact I don't know of a single school that will teach you something like that. All you need is a bit of patience and lots of interest! Look up "standalone arduino" and you'll find a simple circuit with the basic components to make the microprocessor work without the arduino board. That way you can connect whatever you want to it and modify the rest of the circuit. Best of luck with your projects!

Is this Arduino based?

It uses an atmega 328, and the design is based on arduino, but it is an independent board created by Itziar Lima, a student at my university.
