If you look back at its history, not once does it ever say anything about attacking humans. Frightening and pursuing them, yes, but never attacking them.

Actually I practice in the fighting arts of Medieval Europe instead of magic but I try to understand these creatures instead of fear them, whenever we meet something that looks weird our first instinct is to fear it or tell people it needs to be destroyed but we need to embrace this creature

I believe that the mothman is actually a warning spirit that tries to warn people before the disaster strikes but all people do is treat it like it is some kind of monster because it looks scary, we can't keep judging based on looks or else we are just proving that we are not advanced as a species.
