this scene is hilarious very simply because, it's adolescence. The Motorcycle Boy (rourke) is addressing his little brother's adolescence and stupidity. and Rusty James (Dillon) is in denial over the fact that he too will have to grow up one day. It's funny because some of us relate to either being Dillon or Rourke. When i was growing up in Highschool I was always trying to get my friends to stop acting like fucking jackasses. I saw this when I was 23 and found myself in The Motorcycle Boy.

funny... if you watch Lord of War with a much older Nicholas Cage there is definitely a scene in that film that pays homage to this... it's almost exactly the same. He must have loved this bit too.

Rourke at his best time, the 80´s like his perfomance in Angel Heart, and Matt Dillon in a powerfull perfomance. Nice movie very speciel and with style off course by The Godfather Francis Ford Coppola.

For some reason this was always one of my favourite scenes in the movie too! It's such a small scene but for some unknown reason I love it. Especially Mickey Rourke's "Don't tell me fuck, fuck, Why?"
