I have that same setup. I've figured out that if a grizzly is rushing you, you'll have time. Here's what to do: 1) Stop and place ear plugs in your ears. 2) Offer your leg up to the grizzly (preferably the weaker one). 3) When the grizzly engages eating the leg, press barrel firmly against his skull and squeeze. I wouldn't be able to shoot a moving target with mine unless the barrel was touching it anyway! Hahaha. Enjoy! and be safe!

The second shooter had enough sense to wear hearing protection because these bad boys bark rather loud. I presume from the recoil that they were both shooting a 460 Magnum cartridge rather than a 454 Casul or 45 Long Colt that the weapon is also capable of shooting. An expensive way of having fun as these cartridges cost around $2 to $3 a pop.Well like they say, the difference between men an boys are the price of their toys.

@evildragon321 it's longer than .500 mag even. and rated for pressures way above .45/70. .460 mag is as hot as a .45 pistol is gonna get until someone builds one out of exotic steel with a fixed cylinder. but for now, .460 is the final word on .45s,

yeah you aren't going to accurate with that gun. like 12 inch groups at 15 yards LOL. I guess the point is get them on center mass when a big ole bear is charging at you. I myself am saving up for the 5 inch model with compensator. I think it will tame the beast a little bit better. Oh and the yellow and orange grips....... YUCK!!! but all in all thats the gun I am lusting after right now just with a little longer barrel and no ugly yellow grip!

@LUVMAGNUMGUNS2 Yes the 5 inch model would be much more accurate but a little harder to carry around everyday.....LOL. I have a S&W 500 long barrel that I like, it's a beast, heavy, hard to carry but very accurate. At first I felt like you on the yellow grips but it's growing on me now. I agree. With a scant two-inch barrel, muzzle velocity will decrease dramatically on this platform; the .460 round is notoriously sensitive to shorter barrels. Perhaps this is more of a novelty revolver. It seems intuitive that, once this energy loss is taken into account, that a much lighter and compact .44 magnum would better serve as a survival tool. Properly wielded, it would take a bear--and without the muzzle flash and recoil of this gargantuan round….

Better hope you get the bear in one shot, it would be hard to get back on it when your adrenaline is going. Me i would take my .44 mag over this, i could get more shots on target faster. But great vid and bad ass gun.
