I may be the only person on the planet that feels this way but this is their best album. The venom inside, coming alive, and the disappearing sun are my favorite songs from them all time. Salvation is right up there too. You can say whatever you want, this CD is a fucking MASTERPIECE.

All the music that chimaira made is great, but from Impossiblity of Reason to the infection is the best! in fact it's some of the best New-metal i've ever heard!

Infection was good, but weak. Resurrection was Chimiara on steriods, and Impossiblity of Reason and self titled was gold.

The record is good. Hunter needs to use his voice differently IMO it is sounding too weak. He's using the wrong part of his voice to get the distortion. More projection to distort, less throat. Jens Kidman from Meshuggah has it down.

I love chimaira, the new cd isn't as great as the others though. All the music is amazing, but the vocals sounds almost as if they weren't ever mastered. It sounds like what you'd expect to hear off of a cellphone recording of their concert. And as for the heaviest thing you'll ever hear, look up the partisan turbine. completely talentless, yeah, but waaaaaaay heavier than pig destroyer would ever get.

I think all the records have their own good input to chimaira sound. the best is probably either TIOR or their self titled, but I loved all their others. Still getting into the new one, but the instrumental is AMAZING.

I hate bands that say "need something new" BULL CRAP, Chimaria's first two albums were their best, in all ways. Bring back the tech and the base effects. I am a big fan, but come on Rob, "evolving" means you can's reproduce what made you great.

ressurection sucked it was their worst album vocally an lyrically..Passout,TIOR,An self titled were better than the last album ive been a fan since passout so im not some newbie that only listens to the last album..The infection was heavy as fuck.Heavier than anythin theyve ever done i never thought theyd get heavier than self titled(their best album IMO) An they did the vocals are way different an alot more brutal this is my fav chimaira album but its better than the last u only think it sucks

Resurrection kicked so much ass.Who cares about the lyrics in metal music? They can sing/scream/growl about 6 legged chickens and I don't give a shit as long as the music is awesome. Where is the Speed in "The Infection"? It's not an bad album but it is their worst effort to date (IMO)

I believe that Resurection was indeed heavy as fuck and so many fans dug that album and couldnt wait for the infection to release....so for so many fans expecting another resurection....and to get a knock-off of gojira "whos new album also wasn't up to greatness" but either way i've been a fan for 10 years and will stick with chimaira they put there stamp on metal lets hope it doesnt ware off!

Andols has always had control of the drums but this one he just shows what he can do with the polyrythems and what not. That takes a lot of control that a lot of drummers don't show. I wasn't disagreeing just saying one of the things I really liked about his playing.

This new is really the heaviest they've done, But i like songs like six that have that dynamic thing and got melodic parts. There best in heavy! but the do their melodic parts so well so they should do more of those pieces. But chimaira choose what they'r gonna be. Love them anyway! Chimaira is the future of metal!!!
