it was just a High School talent show, it doesn't matter if it's a very easy routine or perfect, it's to have fun and entertain people, and the crowd sounds pretty entertained!people like the suspense of if its gonna work in the end or not.

agreed, new string will help that. it also takes a bit of a technique. when you do it you wil feel some tension on the left stick and you have to learn to recognise that and move somehow to avoid it snagging

its due to the strings being "burnt out" b over use or under use. if you just feel on the sticks for tensions when speeding up you can feel just bfore it rolls up, the more wraps on and the more speed the more likely it will roll up the strings

Although he unluckily messed up few times, he had a big variation of tricks. I didn't know about the whipcatch-suicide variation until now :D

One more thing I noticed is that playing with 2 diabolos is even tricky for professionals. Having to handle 2 diabolos at the same time means its twice as likely for the strings to mess up, or fall off.

Anything can be made easy with enough practice. 2 diabolos become very easy to control once you get used to it. The only thing that I found hard to do consistently with 2 were sprinkler suicides (it's hard to catch fast handsticks) and exiting from some knots.

My point is I doubt professionals find it tricky to handle 2.
