@viletree Grassroots movements are merely those supported at an individual and communal level rather than by a traditional power structure; i.e. if a government or ruling class organizes a rally, then calling it a grassroots rally would be a misnomer. But from your description, it seems that one wealthy person funds a grassroots rally would instantly reclassify it, as it is no longer grassroots. Limiting government and lowering taxes just happens to be something they want as much as we do.

Political cycles come and go, and no party is capable of ruling forever, regardless of who wins. Most presidents (including your hero Reagan) have lost seats during mid-terms. The only reason Bush II didn't was because of 9/11. Bill Clinton lost in '94 and is still one of the greatest presidents in my lifetime. If FoxNews appeals to only nutcases, why is it that conservative radio and news are the most successful while liberal media sucks air and bearly survive or fail? Could it be that many liberal voters don't listen to either or read the paper or maybe even speak english? Could it be they just hear from their buddies that voting Democratic will get them more free stuff at the expense of the working, educated, analytical concerned citizens? Liberal actually means in this case to have an open mind but having an open mind can cause one to have an empty head. The majority of people are ignorant, less than 10% know what is going on in the real world when it comes down to the things that matter like government, economics and history.
The bottom line is do not trust any media outlet completely, search the web and compare what you find from multiple sources. Listen, read and watch but analyze carefully.

@viletree Grassroots movements are merely those supported at an individual and communal level rather than by a traditional power structure; i.e. if a government or ruling class organizes a rally, then calling it a grassroots rally would be a misnomer. But from your description, it seems that one wealthy person funds a grassroots rally would instantly reclassify it, as it is no longer grassroots. Limiting government and lowering taxes just happens to be something they want as much as we do.

Political cycles come and go, and no party is capable of ruling forever, regardless of who wins. Most presidents (including your hero Reagan) have lost seats during mid-terms. The only reason Bush II didn't was because of 9/11. Bill Clinton lost in '94 and is still one of the greatest presidents in my lifetime. So I really am not concerned that much about the outcome of 2010.

I have DirecTv and they allow viewers to see what the most popular shows are, up to the minute. No spin, no small print. I can see for myself whenever I want.
Fox News programs are at or near the top of the list every day, all day long. I have never looked during O'reilly and not seen his show near the top. I have never, ever, not one time, for even a moment, seen Olbermann there.
Olbermann consistantly loses to shows like Propery Virgins and sometimes even infomercials.

Signing a law making sure women are paid the same as men for the same work is a TRANSFORMATION because it changes what was.

I will never forget the last personal appearance Olbermann made when he was in L.A. and before he got fired. It was outside the Walmart Store. Olbermann was such a BIG celebrity in L.A. that it was "standing room only" on the sidewalk outside.

IMHO, Olberman's own record of hate-speech, and personal attacks on former presidents disqualify him from being allowed to be a sports commentator for NBC. Each time I see him on the Sunday night NFL pregame, I'm reminded of his petty hatefulness and I turn the channel. Liberal actually means in this case to have an open mind but having an open mind can cause one to have an empty head. The majority of people are ignorant, less than 10% know what is going on in the real world when it comes down to the things that matter like government, economics and history.
The bottom line is do not trust any media outlet completely, search the web and compare what you find from multiple sources. Listen, read and watch but analyze carefully.
