i beat sephiroth at level 69 back in 2003 if u face him often enuf his pattern becomes predictable such as when he says "sin harvest" u have to stop him ova wise he will lower ur health to 1hp and kill you instantly. You dont get anything for beating him except loads of experience points and bragging of course...

Damn, you got high strength. And, Sephiroth is immune to fire, and all other magic, so why ya cast fire on him? Anyways, Yeah sephiroth is easier in kh2 cuz he's easier to hit. In this one, the way sora attacks makes it kinda hard to land a decent hit on him. BUT, nonetheless, i beat him on all difficulties, and I've still never got ultimate weapons in this game

the sad thing is this is the one instance where I liked the voice of sephiroth in any game media that had it. considering there wasn't any in FF7 this was the first game you got to hear sephiroth talk and I think they nailed it perfectly here, it's just that it's freakin lance or whoever from N'Sync so that was disturbing to find out...thankfully later they changed it to someone with a more manly voice but i still didn't like it as much I had associated seph's voice with this guy =(

@brunettegirlxxox Trolls will be trolls, that's all there is to it. I know my strategy isn't perfect, but I don't think there's any perfect strategy. Just choose the one you're more comfortable with. However, learning to beat him the way I did here should allow you to get much better at the game at the same time, instead of relying on levels or overpowered gear. I like it when people actually say what they did to beat him. Not so much when I'm called "dumb" or "not so good". But yeah, trolls. :p

@Kelmster - ok maybe i was 14 or 16... but the point is: in the first part if the fight you have to roll in front of him a quarter of second before he pulls the sword and hit him whit only one combo plus. then he disappear into the dark hole, and you must roll to evitate his second sword attack. you should never be hit on the first part of the fight (in your video untill 3:57 ). in the second one you was good but you shuld use blizzaga and the ''distant memory'' keyholder or ''ultima weapon''

Another common strat I use is Jump and Glide to him. He will often leap forward and strike, landing farther back than his starting point. Soon as he lands, hit him four times, he teles and just listen for the sound of him coming back, and dodge roll. It's a lot easier to do, and makes it easier to avoid early damage.

@zeldafreak247 I don't like that strategy, as this means taking much more time to take him down, less MP regen, and him spamming fire pillar. At least you can try to predict where he'll teleport and block/dodge his slashes. You can't block fire pillar, making the whole thing extremely annoying. I honestly really don't care about teleporting, I actually see it as an advantage once you understand his pattern, as you can counter it more often than not.

1st form gaurd his attacks and when he jumps, you strike(only a little leap so be quick!).

2nd form dogde roll his attacks until he says desend heartless angel you must hit him quick.anther move he does is quiet powerful its full on 10-13 strikes so at the start gaurd when he strikes the first time and just time his attacks carefully.

3rd basically the same except a new move. he sommons metiors and use glide or superglide and dodge them. and just repeating it youll be fine :)
