  • Those potatoes loom like the crocs symbol

  • Come on Fozzi, you can heckle better than that.

-You call that dancing?? If you were anymore bow-legged, we'd be at an archery range!

    "Watch it, you old fool."

-Yes. Watch it for ALL of us so that we don't have to!

  • 0:15 Maniacal laugh, maniacal laugh!

  • Why does the ribbit frog have a yellow tie around his neck the second time?

  • If you ask me, Disney should cancel all those stupid cartoons and teen sitcoms they have now and run this series instead, along with other Disney classics. Anyone agree?

  • Statler and Waldorf are quite nimble for men there age!

  • GONZO :) <3

  • gonzo means thats gay

  • "Of course its female! You don't expect me to dance with a male cheese! That'd look WEIRD!!!"

LOL!!! And I'm sure Sam the Eagle would have some objection to it as well, lol.

  • So is Mary's partner named Ribbit?

  • Statler reminds me a little of Waluigi . . .

  • i always wanted to be a comedian like steve martin or robin williams

  • I've got to get these on dvd so my daughter can see these! She loves Looney Toons, especially Bugs Bunny and Tweety Bird.

  • three people need to dance with cheese of their same gender

  • Statler and Waldorf...That was unexpected. :D Hi SAM!

  • Miss Piggy probably thinks it should be she out there singing those songs & the frog out there should be Kermit.

  • Mary Louise, Terry Louise & Carrie (Or however it's spelled) Louise must actually be the same little girl. Miss Piggy says to the 3rd one "I keep telling you..."

  • Man some of the auditions are terrible

  • Kermit was being a dick to Gonzo.

  • lenny the lizard

  • DANCE GORGONZOLA!!!!!

  • That number marked the only time I'm aware of that either Statler or Waldorf seemed to be in a good mood, lol.

  • enchiladaa!!!

    XDD!!

  • @strellitha12 What's so damn funny about it? do you even know what enchiladas are?

  • @xxuu23 yup, they're a mexican food, made with orange tortillas and chesee or chicken if you'd like;)

my mom makes those every friday:D

  • @strellitha12 you almost got that right, just one thing, we don't use "orange" tortillas, I don't even know what those are

  • Go Statler! Go Waldorf! I miss the Varsity Drag.

  • Again, I laughed right out loud at the "Terry Louise and Friend" act.

  • @deadlittlechildren Pink Floyd's Pow R Toc H. I find them quite similar anyway.

  • Swear that Koosebane act is based on a Pink Floyd song...at least the first few seconds of it anyway.

  • I think Fox's hit show was just outdone by a bunch of vegetables...

  • i think steve martin ain't funny...

  • Why did Disney bother to buy the rights to The Muppets if they don't even run The Muppet Show or Muppets Tonight anymore?

Anyone else think TVLand should have The Muppet Show on their network?

  • @NaiTaiDai

The answer to that one is that The Muppet Show should have stayed with ITC.

  • @NaiTaiDai YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @MrJtr75 They probably wouldn't mess with it if they'd bought the rights.

  • @NaiTaiDai Actually, Jim Henson had wanted to make a deal with Disney to give them the Muppets, he was a fan of Disney and wanted them to help with the show.

  • @NaiTaiDai: well, jim henson himself was giving the muppets to disney anyway

  • @NaiTaiDai so they can make movies after the onwer of the muppets died

  • @NaiTaiDai they took out their niggest competitor.

  • why do i love the singing food so much

  • @metorido Cuz it's REALLY GOOD singing food!

  • the four fazoos were amazing!!!!!!

  • marvin suggs is that one muppet that i can never forget, no one else dresses like mariachi and has things he directs

  • with how he acts on here you can tell he played the dentist on little shop of horrors oh steve martin keep up the work.

  • It was interesting to see Fozzie trade places with Statler and Waldorf. And I don't get Miss Piggy. She's not the ONLY singing female on this show. What about Janice? She sings AND plays guitar. And that singing veggie sketch, I think I recognize the potatoes from the "Muppet Rhapsody" video.

  • gonzos' got laryngitis :D

  • this is awesome thanks for posting this brings back memories.

  • But how do you tell a female cheese from a male cheese? There are no parts, no explicit speciality holes or...CANE CANE..

    Kermit - NEXT???

  • The vegetable number is of the stuff that put the muppets on top. What did the cauliflower call herself? I didnt catch it.

Waldorf - Last thing he caught was the flu.

Statler - Yeah it was the swine flu. He and the piggy were quarantined at the Bates Motel for a fortnight.

Both - Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!

  • 0:15 evil laughter lol

  • Sam will ALWAYS be my favorite Muppet :)

  • "Of COURSE she's a female! You don't expect me to dance with a MALE, do ya?! That'd be WEEEIRD!"

Best line ever in the history of lines.

  • LOL! The old guys danced!

For one brief moment thare was light at the end of the tunnel.....

  • Gonzo is so incredibly weird!

  • You'll notice only the trumpet beast and bird have changed since their first appearance; the bird has lost its eyebrows and the trumpet beast's eyes are now more defined rather than giving it a squinting appearance. *wonders if anyone will notice and remark on my observation*

  • Wow. Statler and Waldorf getting heckled by Fozzie. Never thought I'd see that.

  • Ah I miss the good old days of the muppets. How I wish they would bring them back. Now all we got is a lousy sponge that works in a fast food joint and a boy with imaginary friends.

  • Statler and Waldorf is GOOD!

  • I love Sam Eagle

  • *lol* Piggy, I don't think a little girl could replace you, just let her sing her song allready!

But I guess Piggy has to be double-worried, as Mary Louise is not only singing all right, but also seems to have a special fondness for frogs...

  • The cheese dances better than the chicken did.

  • Yeah, of course. - It actually MOVES! ;)

  • I just love koozbanian music.

  • LOL!!! GO WALDORF! AND! STADLER!

  • "welcome to the muppet show, starring the talented amazing me, and some other good things" hahaha

  • The muppet show is, has, and always will b awsome FULLSTOP!!!

  • Tie a yellow RIBBIT round the old oak tree

  • Old man RIBBIT

  • LOL one of the fruit/cabbages looks like pacman!!

on the upper row to the left.

  • yeah it does

  • thank you for muppet show vids my boys love them.

  • Who did the voice of Baskerville the hound?

  • Sounds like the same guy that did Fozzie...

  • Actually, it was Jerry Nelson doing the voice, not Frank Oz.

  • Really? Huh. Thanks!

  • Gonzo didn't do his best work until he partnered with Amy the Dancing Brick. :)

  • thats how you do the varsity drag...and DrjulisStrangepork i am nominating you for perosn of my lifetime for putting all of these up

  • It's a female?

Of course! You wouldn't expect me to dance with a male cheese would you?

  • THAT WOULD BE WEIRD!!! XD

  • Even for Gonzo. XD

  • LOL ramblin' guy.

who ever thought nonsence could be so funny?

    STEVE MARTIN!

  • Hmmm...some character keeps trying to audition 3 times, but keeps getting the hook, thus causing laughs.

Must be this episode's running gag.

  • probably.

  • Love the guy in the background's evil laugh XD

    moahahaha!

  • yea something like that

  • i had this muppet cd rom game thing and steve martin the ramblin guy song was one of the "prizes" you got when you won a game.... it was AWESOME!

  • was it muppets on the inside? my friend had a copy of that game and ive been looking for a copy for years

  • Anyone know the actual spelling of Koozbain? Someone who's watched the subtitling...?

  • That would be "Koozebane." 8-)

  • Thanks very much!

  • The dancing cheese was so funny. Also, I enjoyed the four fazoos. Didn't the fazoos appear in a couple of more episodes?

  • Hey, is it me or does it look like Richard Hunt's sleeve or one of Lenny's "legs" is showing when he's on stage?

  • This is basically the only episode where we learn the names of the lizard and little dog that tried to replace Kermit and Fozzie. What sneaks!

  • lol statler and waldorf w00t

  • Hey! This guy's good :)

  • that song about the banana's was a huge hit!!

(some dutch group made a whole song from it!)

  • Yeah... "Yes, We Have No Bananas" was a huge hit written back in 1923... So "some dutch group" just did a cover of it.

  • There was a joke about it on "Growing Pains" with a plus-size ladies' choir singing it.

Ben: I know why they don't have any bananas...they ate them all!

  • @SlabStudios

I'm glad I'm not the only one who remembers it! And I love Jim Henson for keeping that vaudeville alive through new eras!

  • Both Steve and the Muppet Show are doing variations on Vaudeville. They fit well together.

  • thank you for posting, I just love it when Steve plays his banjo. XD
