@kennydude19 most of the level designs where pretty good, the music was ok but some of it was forgettable. the boss music was good, as where robotniks innovations, some of the bosses though are kinda...crap. especially the last boss. it doesnt have a story. go in beat robotnik up retrieve time emeralds in a difficult to navigate 3d world(which was innovative ill admit)thats it. the good/bad thing although innovative,kinda got on my nerves coz it meant retacking the whole lvl for metal sonic.
@kawrght forgot to mention there is one lvl of sheer stupidty, the pinball boss. youd think they would have learned to NOT add pinball unless it has some sort of control. so basically most of the lvls where good but the pinball boss and the lvl which changes roof to floor back to roof so many times it makes me ill i think it could have done without.but it is a really good game.
@kennydude19 i think, ban sonic team from ever making pinball, change the last boss to something GOOD!, make travelling between time eisier, make getting the time stones eiser(i found the 3d lvls cool but REALLY hard and hard to even see what your stepping on and even harder to catch ufo) and maybe make the music better(its good and the intro/outtro song/cartoon is my fav of all games) and ill call it the best of sonic games till then sonic 3 and knuckles.
@kawrght Well funny you should say that because I dabble in some XNA programming currently. I want to remake Sonic CD, im fairly good at Adobe products and I enjoy coding. A freind of mine who is a graduate from university in animation and music orchestra wants to help remake the game too. So sonic fangame makers out there looking to assemble a team to build a Sonic CD reboot. I want the whole game remade from start to finish, and i want the time stone levels in full 3d but main levels in 2d.

i liked the fan boss but it didnt deserve to be the last boss, it wasnt that good, move it to another lvl. even the first lvls boss would have been a better choice. youll have to get permission from sonic team, and the intro songs owners if you want to remake it.

This one totally sucks (in my opinion), they could fit in a different Sonic game, but Sonic Boom was made for this and it fits perfectly. The initial, which is actiony/fast/rushing while Sonic races to the Little Planet. And the second; slower, calm, patient, smooth, and rewarding as you just beat the game and saved the world (hopefully).
too bad my sega saturn doesnt have backwards compatability, because back then, i thought the memory card port was for genesis cartridges. plus, i dont want to go out and buy another genesis and a sega cd, because i have a genesis 3.

The Japanese tune syncs up MUCH better with the action in the video for effect, as well as bring more cheerier and upbeat. I adore how the background seems to be made with watercolours and pencils behind all that eye-blistering animation!
I know that: I DID refer to hand-drawn / traditional media at the end of that sentence. :) Just commenting about what my eyes see at first impression. Watercolours/ gouache are used very rarely in even the older methods of hand-made animation.
